4  Economy / Economics / Re: Gen Z is playing the economy like a casino on: February 19, 2026, 11:54:58 AM
Basically saying that Gen Z seems to lean more towards taking risks. This might also be observed with how many Gen Z are into cryptocurrency and hoping to hit that one coin that will soar. This generation is the one who experienced a pandemic. The generation where houses are almost impossible to buy. But the generation with probably the most resources available.

I like that you pointed out that Gen z has probably the most resources available to them. With the Internet readily available to anyone and anywhere, its very easy for people, especially Gen z who grew up during the rise of the internet, they can easily capitalize on this.

Everyone knows how beneficial the internet is, which gives the people close to unlimited access to information. Thus, young people today are well-informed on ways on generating income and wealth compared to the older generations. Coupled with some peer influence from the people they meet on tiktok, instagram, or any of those social media platforms, they are much more likely to follow the crowd's advice into making decisions...

And the majority of the crowd are influenced by these streaming medias, and the younger generation gets to witness the abundance of wealth in the world, and how these streamers get to access them at such a young age, so its pretty easy to understand why they tend to lean on on those career aspects compared to a orthodox path of going to school and have a career route or maybe corporate job..

Also, risk taking is somewhat correlated to age. So if someone is probably younger, they tend to be more of a risk-taker since they have yet to experience big losses or have even nothing to lose. Compared to old folks, they dont have a family to raise, and they still have more years in them. And I think that is the good thing of this generation. They have potential to be the next leaders of the next generation, and will probably outshine the older generation in a much greater light considering the advantages they have currently.
5  Economy / Economics / Should You Learn AI or Cybersecurity? on: February 13, 2026, 07:38:18 AM
I was inspired from a post here that talked about Generational Advantagehttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5574328.0 by Furball808. And it talked about that the Generational Advantage that the newest Generation have is AI Technology. We know that AI itself has many flaws and is not infallible. Especially in its parts where it can be possibly be exploited. Threat actors also advance alongside the newest technology. Now this got me thinking on which field is more in-demand and most importantly, lucrative, to start a business on?

Whether companies should focus more on AI creation, or more Security to safeguard these new AI technologies? Which of these are more important?
6  Economy / Economics / Re: They could only be selling you hope on: February 13, 2026, 07:21:53 AM
Hope is always treacherous, hard working people has used Hope as a leverage to succeed. Hope is treacherous when it comes for free, without hardwork.

Hope is something very insidious, too much of being hopeful will end up hurting you if things did not go your way. Being too hopeful will make you complacent as you are already anticipating a positive outcome. This in turn, makes you neglect hardwork and preparation. You should NEVER replace planning and preparation by a simple feeling that everything will work out. Everything wont work out the way you will always expect it to be.

Now I'm not saying to be pessimistic, you still need to have optimism. You cant move forward in life without being optimistic. But you should keep your hopes in check, and heavily rely on your keen knowledge and strategem. Something you have control over...
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does the DCA strategy inspire newbies to invest? on: February 10, 2026, 07:43:45 AM
Maybe check the background and the market before investing. I usually find myself investing at the right time when the Market goes down. That way, I can profit more from DCA compared to normal times. But anyway, in my understanding, DCA is a strategy made to invest anytime in the market for long-term. Without the need to worry if the currency goes up, down, sideways or whatever. But its still good to know what you are doing!
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies don't buy bitcoin over aggressively. on: February 10, 2026, 07:34:13 AM
In my experience, I'd usually take this a grain of salt, and just invest maybe just atleast 10% of my income into bitcoin. I'd also try to avoid the hype on all that "this crypto is going up the moon" or "this one will fall and plummet". I'd just simply keep on investing like using DCA. On a reputable and long term crypto like bitcoin of course!
