421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cruise ship? on: December 27, 2014, 05:22:59 PM
I am surprised that people still go on cruises.

Why, it's a lot more fun than a conference in a hotel methinks! Smiley
422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cruise ship? on: December 27, 2014, 05:22:06 PM
Sausage fest? I'm a girl and I'm sure other girls on here would love the idea, it won't be 50/50 but maybe 70/30?
You need at least 33½.

Why is that? Wink
423  Other / Off-topic / Re: Am I the only girl on here? : ( on: December 27, 2014, 05:19:41 PM

Her activity? What's that? Also, I still don't understand what a sig campaign is. You can get btc for posting on threads? Why?
Ps. Getting into mining is not a good idea atm, please don't give her bad advice!

Have you ever viewed your own profile information? The activity value is displayed there. And anybody can watch this value at each of your posts also. It is displayed on the left side just below your user name. If you can't find it, i will create a screenshot for you exclusively  Cheesy
The Activity is the reason why you are a "Full Member" at the moment. Your membership status on bitcointalk.org is calculated with that value. Did you never seen this before?

And yes, you can earn BTC for posting on threads. But why? This is exactly specified in the conditions of each campaign... Finally you will donate your signature to somebody who needs space for advertisement.

Also there are another several ways to get BTC or other cryptocurrencies. Give aways for example. Feel free and check out my own:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=884520.msg9944685#msg9944685
If you follow, then i will give you some altcoins. You can trade them into BTC, if you want. Only necessary is a privat Message and your registration on my favorite exchange, by using my personal referral link. You are welcome. I joyfully invite you  Wink

Mining various coins is also possible on that exchange. They provide there own pools. And all mineable coins are tradable into btc. Also you can mine btc there directly. But for sure, it is not a good idea to mine BTC with a CPU or GPU. Nowadays i recommend special devices for the procedure of mining BTC. They are called ASIC and they were produced for the mining task itself only.
Some Altcoins you can mine really good at the moment. Also by using a PC. That is my experience!
Why did you say, mining is not a good idea at the moment?

And i don't like bad advice. But is it not easy to advice in something new and unknown.
THX  Smiley

1)Thanks for explaining!!! but I still don't get it lol. My activity says full member 126. What does 126 mean? Did I make 126 posts? What is a hero member?

2)How do I donate my signature? Who do I donate it to? Is it like charities? How Is it useful to them?

3)I'm already registered with Slush's and Bitstamp so I don't really need to register to another exhange right? That's a NZ exchange anyway, are you a Kiwi? Smiley

4) I don't know much about mining altcoins you're right, mining btc has been a disaster this year though and I lost thousands, hopefully it'll improve but maybe it's not a good idea to recommend mining to your friend just yet?

A guy in his position would have a crew around him. Staff who do a lot of his research, write his words.
I would guess he lurks in here, maybe posts occasionally, really who cares? The guys a ridiculous clown. A talking head for RT and libertarian college kids on acid.

I care, that's why I asked.
He's not a clown, he's smart and supports btc, spreads the word, etc, which helps all of us, so you should be supporting him instead of slagging him off.
425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cruise ship? on: December 27, 2014, 04:54:09 PM
will there be hookers for bitcoins? would solve the sausage fest problem  Grin

No hookers allowed!!!
426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cruise ship? on: December 27, 2014, 04:53:30 PM
If this falls through you might consider planning a group event on a traditional cruise ship and coordinate with the company to reserve sections of the ship for private group events.

People might be more amenable to this than a potential sausage fest.

He is the owner of Maxcoin? He could be here using anonymous username.

whats the point of being anonymous on here when they're out there on tv talking about btc and spreading the word? if they're here they should say who they are!!
428  Other / Off-topic / Re: Amazon prime any good? on: December 27, 2014, 02:55:43 AM
I have both, Netflix is better for movies and tv shows imo. It looks like Prime does have The Amazing Race, but sporadic seasons, some prime, some not. That's something about prime, the library is not user friendly, either I'm stupid and can't figure it out (highly likely) or there simply isn't a way to list a certain show by consecutive season like on netflix. PITA. Quick search I saw season 1, 15, 17 free prime streaming but some other seasons were not free and others simply missing.

I only have Prime for the free shipping. I order tons of crap from Amazon and prime pretty much pays for itself in the first few shipments.

If you're only interested in movies and tv, stick with Netflix. (or hulu)

Ahhhhh I'm gonna cry, I signed up to prime and there's no amazing race at all!! No free "prime" ones, no paid ones either. Where/how did you find them on there? Quick search where? Or was it just a guess? Sad please help Sad sad.

Depends on your location I guess!!!

Read OP, location UK Smiley no idea where he was from but he said he saw the amazing race on there!
429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cruise ship? on: December 27, 2014, 12:49:56 AM
So what's happening? Are we getting something organised or not? Smiley
430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who needs China, we have Taiwan on: December 27, 2014, 12:44:26 AM
Taiwan is no replacement of China.

"Taiwan is China"  Grin

Taiwan= Republic of China
China=People's Republic of China

Almost the same but not quite.

432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Vote for 2014 Bitcoin industry awards! on: December 27, 2014, 12:39:03 AM

435  Other / Off-topic / Re: Am I the only girl on here? : ( on: December 27, 2014, 12:30:48 AM
mhm lemme guess:

1. op outed herself as a girl

2. the next several post included scam accusations

3. several post after atleast 1 white knight suddenly appeared

4. can any1 summarize the next 42 pages for me?

 Grin

Lol, that's pretty much spot on, yes, but it's been an interesting thread nontheless, we've covered so many subjects, it's been good.
436  Other / Off-topic / Re: Am I the only girl on here? : ( on: December 27, 2014, 12:28:45 AM
now i am more sure that you are maybe really the only girl here.
Because it is possible that the Admins banned the most of the girls that are new into bitcoin theme.
How also my girl was banned just recently...
Sad

Why did they ban other girls for? That's not fair.

long story short:
she has ask a admin a newbie question, why her activity stops rising. because she had did so many posts...
the admin bans her for some weeks, after she ask her question. he means, she is here only to get coins due to a signature campaign...
but that is not true. she is really new to the bitcoin theme. and she really likes to know more about.
and it was me who told her, you can get some btc for posting in threads. she has only to join a signature campaign, like me.
before she got btc only by playing games. because she did know any other ways to get some. and she heard about mining also, that it would be an opportunity too.
so she is interested in mining, thats why she sign in into bitcointalk. she would like to know something more about it.
i think it is not fair when a admin bans new and young people, because they do not know very much about. they needs time and communication to find their way first. bitcoin really need new people, i think. girls also.

Her activity? What's that? Also, I still don't understand what a sig campaign is. You can get btc for posting on threads? Why?
Ps. Getting into mining is not a good idea atm, please don't give her bad advice!

Just wondering since he's always on tv rambling on about btc, he seems like the kind of guy who talks and vents 24/7 and probably comes here to vent often?

Hahaha, psych.

What about the women? Are you not confident that the new wealthy elite includes some women?

440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: December 24, 2014, 01:19:40 PM
Indeed, patience is definitely a virtue.  For now, we're neither wealthy nor elite nor wealthy elite nor gentleman.

Pretty sure this is where we stand:

I haven't given up on Bitcoin, far from it.  But this year (besides adoption by select merchants, retailers, and charities) has been a down year for our favorite Crypto overall.  Gox, SR1 & 2, Shrem/Ulbricht, regulation, China/Russia banning Bitcoin 100 times, mining difficulty/costs etc...have all had negative overall pressure than all the good that's been done.

2015, year 6, has to be better overall.  Not just for the masses to adopt or even consider it, but for the miners, developers, traders, and supporters for Bitcoin as well.

It's been a terrible year for most of us, I hope you're right and 2015 is better. Merry Christmas.
