1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Official FutureBit Moonlander 2 Driver and Support Thread on: June 01, 2018, 12:56:17 AM

before replacing the fans, carefully take them apart by removing the rubber o ring from the shaft under the sticker and use some lithium grease on the bearing..
i did mine and now they are completely silent and been going for months.

This worked really well, i have all 9 running. all 9 together just sounds like my mac is running, so this'll work! thanks for your help!

Thanks for the tip! ordering some grease now, hopefully that does the trick. my only fear is that if it does, i'll start buying more moonlanders hahaha

Hi, I have a fan question, i know it was talked about in the past, but i scanned the thread and couldn't find any conversations about it. so i have 9 moonlanders, but 2 of them are fairly noisy and 3 of them sound like a jet taking off in my office. i'm curious about replacing the fans on them, and was wondering what specs were ideal, and if anybody had a recommendation of a solid fan, that is also ideally as quiet as possible. i'm only running 4 of them currently, and it burns to not be running at full capacity.

I found these, which seem to be what's stock on the moonlander.

but there's also these, which instead of 5v is 24v. will this blow up my moonlander? hahaha

if anyone has replaced their fans and are happy with their results, please let me know. dying to get back up to full capacity. thanks!!

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / having trouble mining with gridseeds on: October 21, 2017, 06:15:24 AM
I have 2 little mining towers i put together years ago, 10 gridseed orb miners. I mined pretty easily from 2014-15 but stopped..... I got the bug again and tried to point my miners to a pool, but i hit a road block. everything looks good on the end of my raspberry pi, but nothing is reaching the pool.

Is there something that has changed about using these miners? I'm running a freshly installed linux build released by highoncoins back in 2014, could that be the issue? It was always fairly reliable when i used to use it.

Any suggestions would be super appreciated, I got the bug and i can't figure this out. Was attempting to mine BCCS at cempool.com and am getting nothing through the dashboard, but my pi looks like it's working... I've tried it multiple times at different places with the same result.

Hi, I noticed I'm the proud owner of 0.00000001 teeth. I had around 170,000,000 10k and 600,000,000 or so balls. 10k in the 10k2 wallet. balls in the balls3 wallet. i know inflation got out of hand, but does this sound correct?

hey quick question. i have some balls and 10k on btcpool. i've had them tied up in orders and just cleared those orders for the transition. they're both in the 10k and balls wallet, which say they're full... my coins both show in my balance... am i ok in these wallets? or should I transfer them to the unfilled wallets in 10k2 and snowballs4?

I've been having a problem with the mac wallet crashing on me on startup. i just updated the wallet to the new one, but i'm still having the issue. is there anything you can suggest to try? i have 1000 vnl stuck in there.

Question, I'm on a mac and have 1000 vnl in my wallet, it's been maybe 3 or 4 days. i've turned on mining, got about 1.5mh/s. i've had no stakes and nothing mined in this time...

Is there something I should do to both stake and mine correctly? Or is this normal?

Any suggestions you have would be great!

configuration.https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=942977.msg10388060#msg10388060 wait after sync ( aprox 0.5 hr or less ) and after sync your coins will show up.

make a 10k.conf file , add the nodes posted on the first page of this op. make sure when you make this file its not a 10k.conf.txt  that wont work. it has to be a.conf extension. you may not notice you simply made a plain txt file instead.

THANK YOU BOTH VERY MUCH! got it! it was the .txt thing.

Thanks very much for your help. Unfortunately i'm still showing as "wallet offline"....
I'm running windows through VMWare on a mac (if that matters).... i've turned off the firewall. Would you have any secondary suggestions? I'd hate to lose my infant 10k's...
