262  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Next Halving in 2016 Mining consequences ? on: December 28, 2014, 06:28:36 PM
What do you think will happen in 2016 when the next halving is going to happen ?

1. Bitcoin will keep almost same price, and miners will just get half the BTC.

2. Even tho we will mine half bitcoins, bitcoin price will explode just because it's harder to mine.

Which one you belive is more probable to happen ?

i believe that point 2 would happen.
after the reward halving some more people need to buy bitcoin, that increases the demand. (assuming that they need bitcoin!)
because it would be less profitable for the most to run a miner efficient.

Miners will have half less bitcoins to sell on the markets but the same maintenance costs which is bullish for the price.
How is it bullish? Wouldn't it be rather good, as the price would go up, as less sellers would be there?
263  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Buying Old Empty Blockchain wallets addresses for $1 per each on: December 25, 2014, 10:57:48 PM
can someone tell me what are these used for?
like what is CLAM?
CLAM is an altcoin, accepted at Justdice. Prices went up once Justdice started accepting it.
Currently, price is around 0.003, so with an old address you can claim upto around 4-5$ worth of CLAM.

Bitcoin price will definitely increase. Currently around 3-4K is dumped daily by miners.
Once the number goes down, dump will decrease, hence price will be expected to increase.

Has there been an official statement from the luckyflop site developer?
He hasn't been online in the past 10 hours.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: DogeCoin Poker on: December 25, 2014, 10:53:13 PM
Can anybody tell me the best site where I can play poker with dogecoins?
Pokershibes is a good place to play for doge. had traffic in the initial days, not sure about now.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Any other site accepting CLAM? on: December 25, 2014, 10:42:47 PM
i think clam would be on the rise, since just-dice alone.

I just found out today, that technically we can still play on just-dice but with that alt coin which I wasnt aware of..

A lot of players and investors still don't know about just-dice reopening, when they do some of them will play and invest so there is a high growth potential.

The price will likely go touch 0.01 again at times where the supply is low and the demand is high
I think the price would increase because of other casinos starting to accept CLAM .
268  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: coinbase wont let me sell on: December 25, 2014, 10:23:43 PM
Those fuckers wouldnt let me sell my bitcoins.
i had 1.5 btc back and tried to sell them back when they were $355.
I got tired of trying to sell them and put them on cryptsy. Like an idiot i bought ripple at its height and lost .3 btc.
Now I have a little bit less than 1.2 btc and bitcoins are worth $315.
I cant sell them yet because i havent verified my account.
I hate selling at a loss but bitcoins seem to be one dissapointment after the other.
Its been a nice ride but i think its over. I might look into forex or penny stocks next if i fell like speculating.

I actually saw a similar thing happening to another member who posted on reddit.
His order was cancelled later, probably coinbase took the trading profits.
269  Economy / Services / Re: Abilities galore on: December 25, 2014, 10:22:02 PM
Well shit, I've spent a year or two away from bitcoin and managed to heavily fuck up my finances. I'll do anything rotten for money.

So far, my skills are limited to:

Intermediate C# programming, with Winforms, Web apps and console programs*  --------------        1BTC per day spent;
Amateur web design that happens to be really cheap;                                     --------------        1BTC per day spent;
Video or Telephone technical support, billed per hour at a decent rate;              --------------         0.05BTC per Hr spent;
Simple DIY tuition up to and including pipework (but NOT for gasworks);            --------------         0.05BTC per Hr spent;
Proofreading and editing suggestions;                                                          --------------         0.02BTC per A4 sheet;
Mechanical turking, namely typistry;                                                            --------------         0.01BTC per Hr spent;
Business theory (at a heavily reduced rate).                                                 --------------         0.08BTC per 24 Hr session;

* Mainly object oriented, although procedural is within my understanding.

Charging 1 BTC for an Amateur web design is asking a lot. Others offer the same for a lot less.
Can you give examples of any previous work done?
270  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: which site is profitable for BTC investment? on: December 23, 2014, 08:06:21 PM
I'm planning to invest btc. But I want to know as well the company that offers high interest for trading bit coin.
Any suggestion is welcome!
Try investing in a dice site like Just dice. It has great opportunities to make profits out of your investment with the house edge.
The owner is a great guy as well.
271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Any other site accepting CLAM? on: December 23, 2014, 08:03:34 PM
fortunejack will add CLAM to their casino on monday.

Really?? That's great news! FortuneJack the best  Tongue
Thats really great news. Would be great for the CLAMS.
What are clams worth? I can't seem to figure out what the whole meaning of these things is.
Thats true for a lot of altcoins out there.
But they are still used.

273  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bloc #335519 on: December 23, 2014, 01:07:17 PM
Anyone can explain the content of Bloc #335519 ?

Looks like it generated 50 new BTC instead of 25 BTC.

https://blockchain.info/en/block-index/515877/00000000000000001461a7896f7bed46dba23c86f557f0535f8f989ffaba9408
It shows the Transaction fees as -25.
THat is really weird. Probably just a blockchain issue

275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking to Get into Ripple. Help? on: December 23, 2014, 11:18:21 AM
Hello community!

I been hearing so much about Ripple lately and I just wanted to ask you,

whats your opinion about Ripple? One ripple right now is worth

1 Ripple = $.024 USD

How much do you think one Ripple will hit? Do you think it will help Bitcoin or be a competitor? Are you invested in it? Are you excited for it to be fully released? Is it a good investment at the moment?

Thanks community!

Happy Holidays

I gave up on altcoins almost 3 months back.
Bitcoin seems to have a hard time for adoption. I think, with ripple or any other coin it would be more hard.

Are the normal 54-man freerolls over? Watched for a little over an hour earlier and never saw one pop up...

They're still running, I just saw one start about 20 minutes ago.

Yeah, one recently started. It was weird to see such a long period without one though... must have been a hiccup or something.

It would be great to kn ow when these start. Otherwise, gets hard to join one when you are not aware of them happening.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Any other site accepting CLAM? on: December 23, 2014, 11:15:20 AM
Clam deserves more attention.

More sites are going to follow and clam is going to become one of the best altcoins around.

Without more attention, the price is dropping now.

Message from senior member that is utter rubbish but does constitute Blackmail

Hi!
I have info about HashProfit's relationship with pbminig. As you official representative of HashPrioit
so please tell pbmining let he do refund to all my referred users. I sent him customers numbers here
in forum PM also mailed him too. So let's he check PM from me.If he don't I will  give info to whom need it.
That's will be big scandal. If he do refund info leave private. Will check users wallets next week....
Regards.

People like this should be banned from here for trying to virtually Blackmail people.

You should post this in the scam accusation thread.
It will get the right attention there.

Getting started BitCoin mining using ASIC mining hardware

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JqnbtFHlOsA
Nice video. Kind of late to actually make this video, but still great for mining education.
Not that late, as the ASIC mining craze started this year.
Still new for people getting into mining.
