1  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: THIS IS AN ISSUE: Bitcoin mining network uses a min. of 257 Megawatts per hour. on: December 28, 2015, 08:18:22 AM
It will be nice to see a comparison - something like this:

Cost of running bitcoin network  VS  sum of all bank transfers fees on annual bases around the world

Where are KNC on the map here? Thought they are a major player in this game? Smiley

Cool, thanks. How stable are they? Do they need to be babysat?
More likely in the 3.5TH range, with overclocking. Unless you live in the arctic, the Bonus Neps like to overheat/shutdown due to KnC not including thermal pads. You'll want to install good heatsinks, or upgrade the fans, or both, depending on how much you want to spend. (listed in order of cheapest to pricey) Once you get them running, they tend to stay running fairly well. They can lock up every once in a while though.

Cool, thanks. Has anyone sourced replacement thermal pads? Fucking KNC.

The pads are 5mm thick I believe. Just search on ebay - there are a couple different brands available. Get the ones with the best w/mk thermal conductivity. The other option is to get some 5mm tall heatsinks and mount them onto the vrms. Here is an example:  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8x-Pure-Copper-Memory-Chipset-Cooler-HeatSink-Heat-Sink-For-IC-DDR-RAM-VGA-SDRAM-/171317955844?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item27e3588d04

Hope this helps.

In my opinion there were more than one dumper. A couple of them at least.

... two weeks of 130% luck are not normal! ....

As an NOOB 130% luck for 2 weeks would be awesome for me  Grin  Roll Eyes

It's the other way around - 130% is bad luck - 80% for example is good luck Smiley

I have around 9 Corsairs AX1200i . That is the best PSU I have seen and used by far. Although recently I started to use IBM BladeCenter DPS-2000BB server PSU. I am modding them myself with 4 6 pin pci-e connectors and using each of those to power one sp20. They are a single raid 91+ gold psus and are relatively cheap compared to the ATX ones.

1600w Lepa is a multi rail PSU. Check your 6pin connectors that go to the SP20 and make sure each 6pin pci-e connector is on a separate rail.

Its strange that for no reason they suspended UTC wallet. There were no recent updates whatsoever but still the message says - reason - updating to last version bla bla bla . Can someone from the dev team shed some light on what is going on with that problem?

I think their days off are Friday and Saturday, so you will probably receive a tracking number tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

Ultradar, I dare you to list your coins on bittrex and just watch what will happen.

Hmm, strange ... I have 2 rigs with 970s - one with 6 cards and one with 5 cards. They both seem to find block on a regular bases without any rejected issues. Driver is 344.75
14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: January 19, 2015, 07:30:08 AM
Its from the Miner Operator software that BA provides on their website:

http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/download.html

You run it on a PC that is on the same subnet as the miners. It will automatically scan the network and it'll find the devices, from there you can choose from the dropdown menu in the bottom right corner of the software different options for the devices.

Well that's new! Have you done any tests with lower voltages? That could really help people out if the efficiency can be improved.

I haven't tbh, but when I upped the voltage from 0.81 to 0.85 I noticed a significant drop in the errors count on all 4 machines. Also there are quite a bit options offering different voltages all the way down to 0.5v. The max is 0.9v

Haven't received a single payment from utc2.tumblingblock.com for more than 6 hours now. Normally the payments happen twice every hour. Kracko please check the issue. I have stopped all auto payments from my accounts.

Its in the Miner Control Software. Will post a screenshot later today if you still cannot find it. Cheers.

I'd like to see it. I don't have access to the software.

Here you go:

The voltage can be adjusted with blackarrow's software. Just tried that on my X3 miners and it works like a charm.

Never seen that setting. Got a screenshot?

Could you have underclocked it more?  How is the noise level at those settings?  I can't find a proper review of these anywhere...

They don't adjust voltage, so they're 1 J/GH at all clockspeeds. Noise-wise they're quite loud.

What GPUs do you have ATI or Nvidia?
