Quite ironic that it was Real Madrid legend Ramos who won the game for Barcelona via an own goal. You can’t really blame him though, it’s just one of those things in football, it happened so quickly and he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Here’s the goal for anybody who didn’t see it - https://x.com/footbalbastards/status/1707880828175258055

I’m feeling more bullish in the last few days than I have since the 2021 bull run. I think we are going to start a slow ascent soon as the halving closes in. Everything is in place for another round of massive, life changing money in the next 2 years.

Let’s eat!

3  Economy / Gambling discussion / [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - December or January in Saudi Arabia on: September 29, 2023, 03:29:05 PM

Fury should have no issues beating Francis Ngannou next month as 1.1 favourite with sportsbet.io so this is a done deal to unify the heavyweight division and see who is the baddest man on the planet.

Always good to see bitcasino advising the practise of responsible gambling. You should never gamble with more than you can afford to lose.

@bitcasinoio
Responsible gambling is not just a choice, it is a commitment to a healthier gaming experience.

Spurs currently getting goals at 3 times their expected rate while we're slightly underperforming on xG so I'm very happy there.

Interesting, really positive stat for us, that is. They can’t continue to be that clinical.

Did you see Jota's backheel goal @LFC_Bitcoin? We may only be the league's second top scoring team but our goals are pretty (if only those counted for something).

I did buddy, I was watching on a crappy stream on my phone Cheesy

I think we look so, so much better this season. The pressing & hunger to win the ball back has returned. The whole club is emanating positivity. Szobo is unreal, just like a young Gerrard. Mac Allister has more technical ability in his little toes than Henderson, Milner and Fabinho had combined.

Things are looking good, let’s take it one game at a time but I’m loving the early days of Klopp 2.0
Massive game tomorrow, to win there would send a real message that we’re back. Will not be easy, Spurs have started well but we can beat them. No Kane to play against, Son is a real pain though.

@BritishHodl
I think it's irresponsible for a parent to recommend their Children buy property vs own #Bitcoin  now.

Most people do this because "it's what worked for me".

When my Dad's family immigrated to the United Kingdom, they bought a home for £4,200 in 1971.

They got extremely lucky as they bought that house just as Nixon decided to start exporting inflation around the world in the USA.

That house is now worth roughly £500,000.

A Compound Annual Growth Rate of 9.63%.

To maintain that trajectory of rise, the same house would need to be worth £59.6m in 2075.

Every generation has it's asset, and this generation's is #Bitcoin .

Not Real Estate.

PSV midfielder Joey Veerman tells @VI_nl:

"Arsenal are one of the three best teams in the world.

I think that’s a really dumb quote about a team that hasn’t won a big trophy in over 20 years. This season is their first CL participation since the 2016/17 season.

Arsenal have a lot to prove before such compliments are justified. PSV did just get humiliated by Arsenal though so maybe Veerman was trying to excuse that by talking up Arsenal Cheesy

@StockMoneyL
Are you asking yourself where #Bitcoin  is headed before the halving? There are many opposing views out there, mostly bearish scenarios.

We will show you why we believe BTC will rally up to $48,000, the 61.8 Fibonacci retracement.

There are three main reasons:
1. Peak-to-Bottom Fibs usually serve as crucial support, resistance and price target levels. Not only in crypto. Traders and investors are having a close eye on these levels.

2. We see a reversal of the bear power into a bullish scenario. This is obvious when watching indicators like RSI or MACD as well as when taking a look at on balance volume of the big exchanges = Switch in momentum

3. Repeating ourselfs: 2 quarters to halving, the main driver of bull power in the past, combined with big money waiting for spot ETF approvals.

10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit card gambling fuels gambling addiction on: September 28, 2023, 12:39:30 PM
Credit card gambling is not smart, as always you should only gamble with money you can afford to lose. Any good bookie will promote responsible gambling but it is the punters responsibility to manage their own funds and budget properly.

Gambling should be fun, putting it on a credit card is an awful idea. The moment it stops becoming fun is the moment to walk away. Consider putting weekly deposit limits on your accounts.

I sold my BCH soon after the fork, but re-bought them, after reading some pro-BCH posts here in WO. I then thought about it some more, and decided to dump them and convert them all to BTC. Boy am I glad I did this!

I sold all of mine near $1,000. It’s quite a funny story actually, I was storing all my bitcoin on Bitcoin Core (passphrase encrypted wallet.dat)

I bought a new laptop to download Bitcoin Core again so I could move all my bitcoin so the old legacy addresses were empty per se, so I could use them to claim the shitcoin forks via Electrum Cash.

Any way, the price of BCH was $300 at the time, I was syncing my new wallet, downloading the whole blockchain in prep to move my bitcoin safely. I woke up in the morning & there was no progress from the night before. It was stuck on X weeks to go or whatever. Turns out I bought an expensive laptop with really low fucking storage. It had way less than 1TB so not enough to download the whole blockchain historically.

So, I bought another laptop with 1TB storage & began to download Bitcoin Core again. By the time it was fully synced the BCH price had gone from $300 which is what it was when I started on the previous laptop to $1,000.
A dumb fuck up ended up making me a lot more money.

12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: September 28, 2023, 09:11:19 AM
Next time Chelsea are going to play against Fulham in an away game. After getting a critical win against Brighton in the EFL Cup I assume most people will be wondering if there would be another win coming in the Premier League as well. Fulham are also having difficult days recently. Their defense is even worse as they conceded more goals than Chelsea while scoring the same amount.

Chelsea couldn't beat Fulham in their last two head-to-head games in the league. It would be nice to see this streak being broken by Chelsea here. Jackson scored a goal against Brighton so maybe this would make some boost in his self-confidence level to perform much better against Fulham too. I think Chelsea will win by one goal gap.

Fulham vs Chelsea is the West London derby, both sets of fans don’t like each other very much. I think this will be a really close game. Wouldn’t surprise me if Chelsea drop points again.

Tough game for us away at Spurs on Saturday, I think we’ll see how serious Klopp 2.0 can be taken this season as title contenders in the next 2 weeks.

We have back to back away games against Spurs and then Brighton. If we can come out of those games with 4 points or more then we are back.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo - September 30th in Las Vegas on: September 27, 2023, 03:30:53 PM
Already fight week and as usual, bookies already had a lot of options for us to bet and I've noticed that bookies were enticed that this fight would go the full twelve rounds but I think the opposite as Charlo is small as this is his first fight in the 168lbs division so the risk of being KOed is high at least in my point of view and the odds for that is juicy enough for me to push that button.

I agree, as we’ve seen throughout Canelo’s career, he’s just too good for pretty much everybody and I expect that to be the case here, especially as Charlo is moving up two weight classes for this fight. Canelo is just going to be too strong.

I think Charlo is probably only taking this fight as it’s a career pay day. You just can’t turn down the opportunity to fight Canelo with the financial security it will bring.

I think Canelo might get a late TKO stop win.

Newcastle vs Man City - EFL Cup 3rd round @ 20:00 UK Time.

I’m getting on Newcastle @ 2.88 w/Super Boost -
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/soccer/england/efl-cup/newcastle-united-v-manchester-city-65041bd512740800010d0837

I just feel like the Toon Army will take this cup more seriously than City who will have their eyes on other prizes. I think Howe will make less changes than Guardiola and with a passionate home crowd behind Howe’s men, that could be the difference.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: September 25, 2023, 08:19:59 PM
Being a good gambler is not just about luck. Luck obviously plays a role in gambling outcomes, being skilled, knowledgeable and strategic can greatly enhance your chances of success.

Good gamblers understand the odds, manage their bankroll wisely and make informed decisions, based on their understanding of the game. They also know when to walk away and avoid chasing losses.

By combining a bit of luck with skill and smart decision making, you can increase your chances of being a successful gambler.

you posted some interesting stuff from this channel recently. So I added it to my hopium feed.

this video about "demand shock" was quite nice as well:

(sorry in case that's a double post)

@IIICapital and @therationalroot are great accounts to follow too.

I like to have a solid group of accounts to pick up little bits of advice and info from going into each cycle. Obviously you need to DYOR and make your own decisions on how much, when to sell but it’s good to take on bits of advice or info from smart people to help you make the right decisions.

A select few guys from here were invaluable to me in 2020/21. I won’t name them for privacy reasons but you know who you are.

Have you reached 1BTC yet?

If not, what the fuck are you doing with your life?

What are you gonna tell your future kids and grandkids when they ask you why your bitcoin stash is so pathetic when you knew about it in 2023 or earlier?

@BritishHodl
Most people don't understand how the purchasing of Prime Real Estate goes - and the ego driven nature of it.

So - they will never comprehend how the hunger games for #Bitcoin  will play out.

When you're looking at a piece of prime real estate, like a Malibu beachfront house or an apartment at One Hyde Park in London.

There is maybe a list of less than 50 buyers willing to execute.

But, what you're really playing to is the ego of that buyer.

For these buyers money is not the issue, it's the desire to own THAT SPECIFIC piece of property.

There are kudos points amongst the wealthy when you own a specific piece of real estate or have a specific address.

Anyway - so what happens is this, the property goes on the market for lets say $30m.

The first buyer says "I'll take it for $28m."

The next one comes in and realises he doesn't want the first buyer (whom he knows) to own it, so offers $31m.

Then you call the 3rd guy and say there are bids in at $28m and $31m.

The 3rd buyer is connected enough to find out who the other bidders are (it's a small world) and realises he wants to be the one in the group at One Hyde Park so offers $35m.

The first buyer is priced out and you continue until there is only 1 bid left.

He just paid $37m - 23% above original asking - for a property originally asking $30m because he wanted to say "fuck you" to his fellow bidders.

He'll then buy that property and leave it empty.

Same thing happens in watches, same thing happens in art.

It's sport.

And for some reason you don't think the same thing will happen in #Bitcoin ?

The MOST pristine asset with absolute finality of scarcity.

When #Bitcoin  is $1m per coin, there will be a rush from the wealthiest just to get ONE.

The higher it goes, the more competitive they get.

And sure it's to do with the fact that #Bitcoin  is a great investment. But they don't need that, they're already rich.

They'll want to own ONE #Bitcoin  just to say "fuck you".

That's the real hunger games.

When logic drains away.

And emotion takes over.

Desire for status takes over.

Animal instinct of the wealthiest takes over.
