Of course, no. 'Premine' is a technical term concerning the currency architecture. We work on a higher level of abstraction and concentrate on the economic part of cryptocurrencies application. We are grateful to the CryptoNote developers for their work on the whole low-level section and their permission for us to use it.

Every ecosystem that is big enough should have its own currency to simplify internal exchange. The ecosystem that appeared around the idea of establishing a colony on Mars is not yet completely formed and strong. Engineers, scientists, writers, enthusiasts – they are part of it, they have a common idea, but they lack the understanding of how to implement it step by step, which technologies should be acquired and which should be developed for it.

The purpose of the Red Wind cryptocurrency is to unite all specialists who want to colonize Mars to develop and acquire necessary technologies, create protocols and obtain the resources. Approximately 38% of RD is reserved for investments into projects that are directly linked to the purpose of establishing the Mars colony.

At this point, we have received considerably extensive feedback, and new members (including a professional PR-manager) have joined our team.

We are restarting RedWind. The renewed version would have, among all else, an improved emission curve (it would be smooth). Moreover, we are going to reserve 38% of all coins for the Foundation that would use it for investments and grants for developing new technologies. The rest 62% would be available for mining.

Almost all required technologies either have been developed already, or can be developed in the nearest future. Moreover, many of them would significantly improve our life here, on Earth. Just think of all the technologies that space exploration programs in the 20th century gave us: CCD-matrix, that was originally developed for electronic telescopes, and is present in every digital camera now; water filters that use silver ions to distil water, that were originally developed for ISS water-regeneration system, can now be found in households around the world; in 1980s a program was developed in US to improve the quality of the satellite images, and in 2000s the scientists lent it to medics – MED-SEG will be used to analyze the X-ray and US data…

September, 23rd 2014 is the day we start operating a new cryptocurrency called RedWind. This currency is created for one and only mission – establishing a colony on Mars. All technologies required for this task have already been developed. Many reputable men are continuously refining them, creating flight protocols and programs, drawing public attention towards this mission and gathering resources for it...

We have technologies, we have intention – the only thing we are missing is funding. Politicians mainly see their own interests, and, with luck, interests of their countries' citizens. These people would consider such grand and extravagant project unimportant.

We believe there are many enthusiasts in the world who have no doubt that building the first human colony on Mars is an objective worth pursuing for the whole humanity, and these people are ready to work hard to accomplish this mission.
