Just an update.

This post is not news or an update just a personal opinion.
A couple of you really need to go smoke a bowl and be less angry about everything. Such persistent pessimism is very bad for your health.

Just a brief update.
The source update was a success, and services were all notified. The old wallets will continue to work, the new ones should be out tomorrow. Apologies that it did not get done tonight, thank you for being patient.
We are still awaiting word back on the completed PoD from CryptoAsian.

Important news. The source update by earlz is completed and is now live. If you are a service provider please update to the latest source. This is a MANDATORY update. Spread the word please. https://github.com/MaryJaneCoin/maryjaneNew Wallets will be coming this evening. The old ones will continue to work just fine in the meantime. |

Just a brief update.
Earlz has completed the tweak to the code to invalidate the burn address. He has also cleaned up a couple issues from his code review and fixed an issue that sometimes caused errors on a compile. This will be a required update so we will be pushing this out tomorrow afternoon (10/17). Notice will be given when this happens, and all service providers will be contacted. This is just a heads up to be ready for this tomorrow.
We are still awaiting CryptoAsian's PoD judgement. As stated before, he is busy, hopefully tomorrow.
Once the code update is live, and services updated, we will be replying to some offers such as the mac wallet. This update will solidify the foundation and make building on top of it much easier going forward. Thank you for being patient.

Just some news.
The code tweak to invalidate the burn address that was discussed should be happening tomorrow (10/16). A very trusted person will be handling this for the team: earlz. He does code reviews, often utilized by Bittrex. We want to put this to rest for good.
PoD (Proof of Developer) paperwork is in, and we're awaiting word back from CryptoAsian. He had further contact with Adam earlier this evening. He is very busy, does this service for free, and has quite a backlog. Thank you for being patient.
We now have a tipbot in the 420lounge courtesy of drewdrew. To join the lounge you can open the maryj wallet and click on 420 lounge. Or if you prefer you can join it direct in your favorite IRC program on channel #420maryj
Core development will be focused on facilitating point of sale merchant transactions. We should have mobile wallets and a paper wallet generator very soon.

The accurate current supply is listed on https://chainz.cryptoid.info/maryj/However, in order to increase confidence, we will be forking the code to ignore the address the 36 million burned coins reside on as soon as possible. A test was performed earlier. A new mammoth coin address was generated, and 0.12345678 maryjanecoin were sent to it. The address never showed up on the mammoth block chain. Instead, it showed up on the maryjanecoin block chain. Here: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/maryj/address.dws?MSdWLdoVgxHivqdQPqGkcKhAnpU5jVLPaC.htmNewly generated mammoth addresses that have maryjanecoin sent to them show up only in the maryjane block chain. However, no one has the priv key, and the coin is unrecoverable. We are in contact with C-cex and our block chain provider to see if this cosmetic issue can be fixed. We will update you as soon as possible. |

PoW ran during the ICO and lasted a couple days. Suprnova was the only pool on at launch. I cannot access their block statistics to see what block they get in on now, I'm sure ocminer can tell us when he sees this. A few solo miners also got in at launch, I do not know how many blocks they got. Development team have the first 4 blocks from getting the ICO funds. It kicked over 4 total blocks before the gpu was shut down. As to the destroyed 36,491,965.0 coins residing here https://chainz.cryptoid.info/maryj/address.dws?3964.htm Pride generated a mammothcoin address, and then sent those 36,491,965.0 to the mammothcoin address. He then destroyed the wallet.dat of the wallet sent from. They do seem to still be showing in the blockchain. C-Cex has guaranteed us that they are no longer accessible. We are looking into the matter and will let you know as soon as we know. |

Whats going on here? Coinmarketcap is saying total supply is almost 52 million coins.  CCEX is gonna burn the rest of the coins today and that will eventually get updated. So while the people keep buying them now, the supply will be much larger than 15 million as they claimed it would be. The unsold coins are on c-cex cold storage wallet since the moment the ICO was closed by them. A wallet no one but them can access. This has been confirmed by Pride on more than one occasion. They are not in the supply. They will be destroyed by C-Cex and a video posted as proof. The total coin supply has been 15.2 million since the ICO ended, and will continue to be 15.2 million going forward. |
