This was no strategy all whatever people think it is. It's just once in a year coincidence. There's no way of determining the outcome of a game through this method.
Most people try to predict the fixture through previous meetings, present form, most recent results. I'm sure that guy only won that one time and didn't succeed again with that prediction style while he has tried so many times.

2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: African teams at Qatar. on: December 08, 2022, 04:58:07 PM
I really commend Moroccan team for that good performance in that match , making it the only African team that is left in the world cup compition, I really encourage other African brothers to work hard in the next world cup.  I keep wondering why the African teams are not doing so well when it comes to world cup compition, when we have good talented players from the African space playing in Champions League and other various compitions around the world. The Africans need work hard in order to change that narratives.

African teams lack technicality. They believe so much in physicality and that hinders them a lot. The players may be technical but the ideology of African teams is just not technical. The teams are also poorly managed and this may be the fault of the country's government by not providing resources or the fault of the management team or the fault of the FA.

There are African players who are very good in Europe  but when its time to represent their country, they're not as good. This may be due to the fact that the football structure of the team is bad. African teams don't learn, they do things the same way, same pattern even if its clearly not working. They don't invest as much into football and sports in general.

These issues lead African players to nationalize in other countries and play for them. There's still the issue of corruption in the national teams despite the poor funding. We've heard of players who wanted to train or play for their national team but they'll be ask for bribes before they can be accepted.  These things derail the growth of African teams.
3  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Indonesian ban on sex outside marriage affect businesses adversely? on: December 08, 2022, 11:16:17 AM
Indonesia's legislative arm has passed a new law that criminalizes sex before or outside marriage. People convicted of extramarital sex could face as much as one year in prison.
This law would also affect foreigners and tourists that came to visit the country. Some citizens of the country are protesting against this law. While others are seeing it as a welcome development.

Business owners in the country are lamenting that this law can discourage tourists from visiting the country which would affect their businesses negatively. I am also perceiving that this policy might also scare investors from investing in Indonesia. But some religious business owners are of the view that this policy would attract business to the country from other religious or conservative nations or investors.

What are your thoughts?

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-63869078

The goal is to stop sex trafficking in the country. Report say 43% of trafficking victims are aged 14-17. Some experts even claim that the number of trafficking going on in the country is worst than it is reported. Right now I feel they're going extreme.
Banning premarital sex or outside marriage sex won't stop sex trafficking. People, more especially governments need to understand that you can't take people's right away just because some people abuse it and use it to commit crimes.

Ronaldo denied the rumors linked to Al-Nassr, he said he has not signed with them.
Was a rumor, more than a rumor form for the deal done with the Saudi Arabia club for 200m/year.

I still think he will end with Sporting.
Enough rumours circulating Ronaldo and what his next club will be. He exits united the moment he procrastinate the conditions of the team. Ronaldo said his mind and Piers Morgan have even urged Ronaldo to have a second thought about joining arsenal which I think it's absolutely out of the box for the GOAT. Ronaldo focusing more on the world cup rather than staggering on rumours concerning his move to Al-Nessr as false. He's heavily link with move to Saudi club and it's one of the big deals in football history if he pull it.

If Ronaldo is going to play in Europe he's going to take a very huge pay cut to join any team. The clubs that can afford him don't want him and the once that want him cant afford him. There's no point of him refusing Arsenal because not only does Arsenal not want him, but they can't afford to pay him. worst still, he doesn't fit into their game plan at all. Going to the Arabian country or MLS is not such a bad idea. He should just leave now with his head high instead of staying in Europe and still trying to prove a point.
5  Other / Off-topic / Re: ⚽ Football Injuries and Injury Updates! on: December 07, 2022, 03:30:15 PM

I don't know what really happened to the France national team, Benzema is actually quite fit but it seems they are trying to focus more on letting young players play. Benzema is the best player and the recipient of the balloon d'or, it looks like they are trying to raise mbappe's prestige.

[/quote]

I don't think it has anything to do with Mbappe. The media said he's fit but if the France coach doesn't call him then he has his reasons. Benzema been in the squad will not hinder Mbappe in any. Even Messi couldn't stop Mbappe from shining. They don't lay the same wing also. Then there's the issue of Giroud. He's been very decent in the world cup and scoring goals, bringing Benzema to the mix now might just kill the rhythm of the team. Not to add that Benzema is not in the form he was last season that led him to win the balon d'or.
6  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Qatar Footballl World Cup - People decided not to watch on: December 07, 2022, 12:14:55 PM
I have recently meet a few people that are just not watching any football match of the World Cup because they feel that the Qatari government has ignored many of the most basic human rights. I already knew that in most emirates of the area, there are several classes of workers. The elite does not really work or they just manage at high level or do politics or get paid as "local partners" of foreign companies. A second level, Muslims but not of the elites are mid-managers. Europeans and Americans are despised, but they are necessary for skilled jobs. For example, if there is a queue for a restaurant, the locals will be seated first even if they arrive last. Obviously, Europeans are willing to put up with the shit but the price is two to three times their salaries at home.

An now we get to the last tier: Pakistanis, Indians, Bangladeshis, Philippines,... the moment they arrive, their passports are taken from them and they are stuck in the country for periods of 5 or more years. No air conditioned in the barracks, misery salaries, medieval work conditions...

I do understand that some of us will decide not participating on this. The Cup is filled with blood.

All these are just allegations and most likely propaganda. Nobody has really brought proof that these things really happen. It's all hearsay. It's very hypocritical for people from Western countries to try and act like they're saints. Qatar has been hosting a very nice world cup since but since it was announced that Qatar would be the host of the world cup different people have been fighting them.
Human rights are trampled on in every country of the world including the UK and US. Qatar never said you can't go to Qatar if you are gay, just don't bring flags and all what not.

Whoever will not be watching the world cup should know that they would not be missed. Sports brings people together and so far in this world cup it has done that. You can use your platform to speak out against injustice but don't make accusations you can't defend.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 07, 2022, 09:25:24 AM
The champions league is going to begin again after the world cup,and we would see which team can come out to win it. Real Madrid did an excellent job last season winning their league and the champions league as Karim Benzema went on to be the highest goal scorer in Lalliga and also winning the Ballon d'or for the year.
It was indeed his season, but this year seems to be a different season altogether,he hasn't score enough goals as he did last season, although the season has not gotten anywhere yet,but Barcelona's Lewandowski has began to show his goal scoring abilities in the Laliga, and might move ahead of Benzema in winning the  goalden boot this year.

PSG has a the team to win this year's champions league. Let's just see how they perform against Bayern. If Verratti and Neymer don't get injured then PSG has a big chance. They all have to be top of their game if they're to win it. There are so many top teams in the competition.

Lewandoski is miles ahead of Benzema in goals this season and I don't know how he's going to catch up because Lewy doesn't look like a guy that is taking a break any time soon. Both Madrid and Barça would battle it out for the La Liga but I believe Lewandoski will win the Spanish golden boot without struggle.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 07, 2022, 09:17:48 AM
I feel like better teams are going to next rounds all around. Luck isn't something very influencing in this tournament. If this trend goes on Brazil will very likely bring world cup to their home. I don't think Croatia can go to next round. There is huge power difference between them.
I also want to watch Brazil against Portugal soon. Their match can be the most enjoyable match in whole tournament. Cristiano Ronaldo is key player tho.
It was quite surprising to see that Portugal was able to win with a landslide score from Switzerland and it seems that Portugal didn't need to worry when Ronaldo was no longer defending their national team because new talents kept popping up in Portugal. Brazil is a strong team but Croatia can trouble them in this quarter-final if the Croatian defense can keep out the attacks from the Brazilian attackers it is very possible that it will go to extra time but penalties I don't think I can't remember when Brazil faced that.
After yesterday's closing 1/8 games, I have another team that I think is a contender for the final - Portugal. I also was surprised by their excellent performance against Switzerland. Haven't seen Portugal play like that in a long time. As for Brazil and Croatia, I think Croatia will lose in regulation time. Most likely the game will not come down to a penalty shootout. It's hard to call Croatia a semi-final contender at the moment.

I have always know Portugal was a good team. They have very good squad that are balanced all round. They have a good midfield, good defense and good attack. Ronaldo was a hindrance to their fluidity because he doesn't press and when he gets the ball he can't do much with it. Don't get me wrong, if he gets the ball in a good position, mostly inside the box, he might score but the opponents know this so they'll surround him and make sure he doesn't get the ball in the box. Most times they don't even let him go to the box. If he stays upfront without pressing the team suffers. It was evident yesterday. He's a great player that has achieved so much but if Portugal are to reach the final they have to bench him.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a newbie I stay off shitcoin and it paid off, Bitcoin is the king. on: December 06, 2022, 03:24:41 PM
Looking at what's going on in the crypto market right now, investing in bitcoin and holding it really seems like the safest option.
It can be said that there is already a rule that when bitcoin rises, altcoins rise even faster, but when bitcoin falls, all altcoins fall, much more than bitcoin, and many altcoins never recover, unlike bitcoin, which has been around for 13 years.
I still regret my mistake when I invested part of my bitcoin earnings in 2017 in some promising altcoins, which failed in 2018 and never recovered.
During that time bitcoins have fully recovered and I have no doubt that this scenario will repeat itself for bitcoin.

This is a major advantage bitcoin has over altcoins. Bitcoin would always recover. Focusing on bitcoin as a newbie is key. When there's no much experience about the market, it's best and safer to just focus on bitcoin.  Many altcoins do not recover and you might not even know which is genuine or which is scam.
Secondly, there are thousands of altcoins, so how do you even know which one to invest in when you lack the experience and insight?
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Every crypto newbies need to know this on: December 06, 2022, 03:09:47 PM
The only thing that keeps giving me the freedom vibe right now is Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the only innovation that keeps me a bit ahead of the Government.

I am sure that some millionaires and billionaires out there are already sicken of the government and it's banking system.

They monitor you when you made some deposits in the bank.

They sit you down and start asking questions when you are ready to use your hard earned money.

They use your money behind your back to invest for themselves.

This is why I strongly believe that Bitcoin will forever keep it's value intact, do make sure that you at least have 50% of your fund in
Bitcoin, whatever your crypto dream might be make sure Bitcoin has its place in your hardware wallet.

Giving an advice that half of people's funds should be in bitcoin is not ideal. That is your personal opinion. There are many other investment you can go into to. Imagine putting half of your funds on bitcoin and the market happens (in an unfavorable way).
Some people would definitely invest more than 50% of their funds in bitcoin, others might invest 10%, it's a personal decision and everybody does what suits them based on their research, experience and intuition.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Qatar world cup Final Predictions on: December 06, 2022, 12:25:35 PM
Brazil intimidated their opponents. They played some great football today. While playing football in the match, they almost did samba at the same time. They showed that they are one of the strongest favorites for the cup. They passed the last 16 round very comfortably and the same will probably happen in the quarterfinals. If they match with Argentina in the semifinals, it is not difficult for them to reach the final by eliminating them. Because they play better football than Argentina.
I think the winner of the England-France match with Brazil will meet in the final. But it would be a little difficult to know who will win the final Smiley

Don't forget that this Argentine team won this Brazilian team in the Copa America finals. It doesn't matter who played better football. Its a single knock out match, anything can happen. Brazil are a very good side no doubt but they are yet to meet a very good opponent in the world cup. It's no secret that they are the favorite but favorites don't always win the cup. They have the upper hand to win Argentina if they meet but it still doesn't guarantee that they'll win.
The best teams of this tournament so far are France, Brazil, England. Then the second level of teams are Argentina, Portugal, Spain, Netherland.
I don't know know who would win exactly but I'm pretty sure the winner will be one of these teams and the final will be played by two teams on this list.

Switzerland could ban electric vehicles from being used non-essentially this winter as government officials begin to brace for an energy crisis during the winter months, according to reports.

The Telegraph reported on Saturday that Swiss officials have drafted emergency proposals that restrict power usage if things get bad this winter.

So it looks like all this elétrica car stuff just consumes more energy

In crisis, oil is much safer to use.

I believe this news shows how political and economical all this "carbon" discussion is, and not really ecological.

Curious is that bitcoin is not being banned from Switzerland.  Probably eletric cars consume much more energy there.

Quote
You can ignore reality, but you can't ignore the consequences of ignoring the reality

So it looks like in

Its only an emergency proposal so they can be ready for crisis in the coming winter.
A ban on electric cars is not the precaution they're taking. Building could use less power, offices and shops could close two hours earlier. Electric cars would not be banned according to reports, it usage will just be limited to essential things like going to your place of work, visiting the doctor, attending court appointment and more. They're not doing this because the cars consume too much energy, they're are doing this because they're facing an energy crises due to the war. Even the countries they import electricity from (France, Germany) are all facing electricity crisis.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Cash must be king, Giorgia Meloni tells shoppers on: December 06, 2022, 08:59:19 AM
Quote
Italy is to use more cash and fewer credit cards, bucking a global AML trend towards electronic currency, after Giorgia Meloni, the prime minister, dismissed card payments as “private money”.

Meloni, who was elected in September, is finalising her first budget, which is due to include a rule allowing shopkeepers and businesses to refuse cards and demand cash for payments up to €60. The rule would raise the current limit of €30 and includes permission to sell and buy goods worth up to €5,000 in cash, up from €1,000.

Meloni has an unusual justification for supporting banknotes over plastic. She told parliament: “The only legal currency in Italy and Europe is the paper notes issued by the European Central Bank. Electronic money is not legal currency.

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/cash-must-be-king-giorgia-meloni-tells-shoppers-02crzx7rg

....

Most EU nations are pro AML (anti money laundering) regulation. Which promotes digital currency, CBDC and cashless society, all formats which they claim helps prevent money laundering.

The new italian prime minister, Giorgia Meloni however appears to be one of the few bucking the trend. She is proposing regulations and laws which allow businesses to refuse credit cards and demand cash payments for sums up to €60. An increase from the current limit of €30.

With bank runs and related negative trends on the rise. "Cash is king" sounds like a great policy to me. Certainly this is the wave of the future. Only bitcoin beats cash. Gold, silver and precious metals are too clunky, unsupported and cumbersome to efficiently conduct transactions. The same can be said of a barter system. Cash is one of the best options we have atm.

Discouraging the use of cards and encouraging the use of cash doesn't favour the economy in the long run. Money in banks and other financial institution are constantly rotated. Meaning, they don't just sit there in the owners account or something, they are constantly invested to make more money. If more people start using cash, then you're only creating more room for leakages because not all of this cash will find it's way to the economy's financial institution and if this continues for a long period of time, the financial institution might not have enough money to invest. And one way these financial institutions invest is by giving loans to individuals and businesses.

So when these businesses don't get the required funding they need from financial institutions it affects the economy because they can't expand and be involves in more investments. This single policy if not well regulated can be a serious problem for an economy in years to come.

Brazil vs South Korea.

South Korea have been good in their games this world cup and today South Korea will be meeting Brazil.  Brazil is known to be that strong team that does not lose match, it will a win for Brazil  today. Brazil is better than South Korea in performance.
Yes, Brazil has a lot to hope for today because they have enough players who are motivated to win the World Cup. There is a rumor that Neymar may play in the match, and if he does, Brazil will win without a doubt. Brazil is also my right team and one of my favorite teams for this World Cup.
I hope neymar will be playing against south korea if he can. His contribution will be needed by brazil to win the match against south korea. South korea has the same play style like japan. Brazil must be careful when the game will be reaching the end of match.
Brazil is having a very good squad right now with so many great players on it. i hope that richarlison will be on fire against south korea. Song heu min and richarlison will against each other to prove which country that's more capable to be qualified for the quarter final.

I have no doubt within me that Brazil will win the match. It may not be easy because there are no push overs in this world cup but Brazil will win. The tougher match would be between Croatia and Japan.
Brazil have so much quality that the attack of South Korea would be toothless. Son is a player with a lot of pace but so is the Brazilian defense. The only way South Korea can win this match is if the are impeccable in the defense and make use of every opportunity they get.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 05, 2022, 01:47:47 PM
Lens have impressed everyone by their performance until this point. They have been doing a really good job about keeping a decent gap with PSG in the standings. However it is still very difficult for Lens to keep up with PSG until the end of the season. I know what Lille did in the 2020-21 season but I don't think Lens have the capacity to repeat that.

Being the champions in the Ligue 1 is too difficult for a team except PSG in these years. There is a difference like a cliff among the rest of the teams and PSG. Most likely PSG will be pulling away from them much earlier in the season.
They are 5 points behind Paris Saint Germain, maybe that is an insignificant margin if we look at it in the Premier League, but it will be different if we see this distance in Ligue 1, especially the team above it is Paris Saint Germain which we all know that they are the only team that has many star players and also has everything compared to the other teams here.
Lens have done good things so far, but I have to be honest they won't be able to overtake Paris Saint Germain who are at the top of the table even though they have a 5 point margin.

You are very right. No team is over taking Paris for that league title. They are miles ahead of every other team in the league. If anything I think they'll extend their lead. They've got so such quality and squad debt that they can actually do without a key player. There was a time they were without Mbappe and they still won their matches. Neymer is in a good form so is Mbappe while Messi is just Messi, the genius. They play Bayern in the UCL and I think they'll com out on top after both legs. I can say if they can win the champions league but I'm very sure the will win the league.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 05, 2022, 12:33:55 PM
Did you also consider the age of this players. The Croatia players are older than the Japan players and that is why the Japan players are faster and they cam return to help the defence when needed. This the only fair fixture I have seen in the knockout stage of the World Cup. Croatia vs Japan is a far fixture.
The matches in the round of 16 were determined by the results that were in each group and that was clearly completely fair because it was impossible to engineer it in such a way. And I think the match between Croatia vs Japan is a match that will look exciting even though the Croatian team will probably try to have more possession of the ball from the start.
Of course their meeting in this round is based on their results in the group stages. His Croats have more experience, but Japan came with more motivation and they have very high speed. This match will be interesting because both countries have their respective advantages.
In the other match between Brazil vs South Korea, it will be a match that places Brazil as the favourite. How could it not be, Brazil has a luxurious squad of both their core players and players who sit on the bench.

Croatia is not the team they were four years ago although they are more experienced, its not going to be an easy for for them because Japan is a highly motivated side thanks to their win over Spain and Germany. They actually topped a group with Spain and Germany. That's one for the history books. Croatia are the favorite but I think Japan will have the upper hand in this fixture. The match will be more interesting that the Brazil vs S. Korea match I think . Brazil are definitely winning that one but i would really love to see an upset.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: December 05, 2022, 06:54:26 AM
I still believe that Bayern Munich can maintain its positive performance in the Bundesliga this season because I still have doubts about all the other teams in the Bundesliga in terms of competing with Bayern Munich who can always perform well in the Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich winning the Bundesliga is not a surprise or what we will speculate. They are over prepared for the task and there is no other club in the Bundesliga that is as prepared as Bayern. The only surprise we will see is if another club wins the Bundesliga.
When the season started newly, Union Berlin and Freiburg gave hope that they can fight but it unfortunate they didn't prepare well.
The Bundesliga already belongs to them, I also think that the Bundeliga is a competition for Bayern Munich.
Union Berlin is expected to break Bayern Munich's dominance when they were top of the standings a few weeks ago. But what is happening now is that they have slumped and been thrown far from the position they occupied at the start of the season. Bayern Munich not only dominates the league, but the statistics they create will be very difficult for other teams to catch up with. It's boring to watch this kind of competition, but this won't change until there's a team that can actually beat them.
Bayern Munich is indeed one of the strongest teams that cannot be replaced by other teams in the struggle for the championship trophy in the Bundesliga. as seen at the moment other teams in the bundesliga only produce stars in their team and sell to other clubs so there is no big strength for other teams when dealing with Bayern Munich. even Union Berlin, which was previously believed to be able to give a different feel to the Bundesliga at the start of the season, but they had to give up early before the league entered the second half. apart from that we see bayern munich stronger not only in the bundesliga but in the champions league Bayern Munich performed well enough to beat barcelona and inter milan in the group phase and we will see how consistent they are in the champions league this season.

The problem about teams in the Bundesliga is that they are not even worried about selling their players to Bayern Munich. Frankly speaking, I don't blame them. Bayern Munich is the only relatively rich team club in the league and they always have the resources to sign whoever they want.
Another problem is that other teams in the league lack squad depth and Bayern has a lot of those despite have more quality than every other team. For the foreseeable future, Bayern will continue to win that league.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 04, 2022, 03:05:42 PM
For tonight's matches I believe Senegal literally has little to no chance. There is visible skill difference between them and England. I feel like England will dominate first half of match and gonna easily score 1-2 goals to secure a win over them. I believe Senegal may score 1 goal as well, I don't think they will easily give up.
Poland definitely didn't deserve to be here considering their bad performance against Argentina. I am gonna also say secure and easy win France tonight.

There's no easy win in this world cup so far and I don't think it will start today. Yes we know France is a much better side but it doesn't mean it'll be easy for them. Poland will believe they have a chance and would put in their best. It's the world cup, not ucl or league. There's a slim chance of Poland winning and they'll work towards it.

Same goes to the England vs Senegal match. Senegal is a good defensive side and the match is really going to be though. I'll put my money on Senegal anyway, just for gambling sake. I really believe Senegal has what it takes.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 04, 2022, 01:53:32 PM
Today we will be looking at France x Poland and England x Senegal matches.
Actually, looking at the current conditions it is quite clear that France and England are the favourites, but we know Senegal's condition now and of course this will be a little inconvenient for England, I think.
On the other hand, Poland is also very good until now, although they are still far behind when compared to France, but they could also be very troublesome.

The current odds of 1.36 for France and 1.54 for England are a stark contrast to their opponents as there are 9.40 for Poland and 7.20 for Senegal. i was hoping for a real miracle and wanted to put my bit out on senegal's 7.20 odds.
France will play with their key players today that Giroud as target man with Mbappe, Dembele and Griezmann in the forward lines and although Poland and France is the teams from Europa but this is their first meeting in the official tournament and besides that this also the fight between their striker Lewandowski and Mbappe so i am curious could they able to scoring goals and help their teams qualified to quarterfinal but indeed France is the favourite because this team is filled with plenty of famous players who playing at big clubs however odds @1.36 for France indeed quite low but it's safe bets so far because possibly France will going to win the match

I don't see any battle between Lewandoski and Mbappe. It would be unfair to Lewandoski based on the quality of players France and Mbappe have. I'm not saying Poland don't stand a chance but it's a very, very slim chance. Less than 1% chance. Lewandoski to me is a better striker than Mbappe though.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: December 04, 2022, 01:45:05 PM

Benzema was always getting injured. Luka modric is also very old right now. I think that luka modric will be replaced with new young player as soon as possible. It seems like real madrid was looking for so many young talented players to filling up the position that will be leaving by some old players like benzema and luka modric. They have good strength but their age was always giving impact to their performance. it can be seen from how serious madrid to did some big transfer in the upcoming transfer season.

Benzema often has injuries, but if you pay attention you will see that they are all minor, this may indicate that he is a cautious player and prefers to play it safe, but he does not spend much time on the bench. Young players are needed by the club, but if the team does not have such experienced players as Benzema and Modric, then it will be more difficult for them to gain experience and learn. These are team leaders who can lead young players to victory.

If Madrid don't fix up immediately I think they're going to have a problem in the future. The need a 9 to replace Benzema. They need a very reliable winger on the right just like Vinicius on the left.
That midfield of Touchmeni, Velverde and Camavinga is not a world class midfield. Velverde is not that guy, I'm sorry. So if Kross and Modric leaves without been replaced with good players then it's going to be a very big problem.

It's good  they're going for Mbappe. They're a proud team and would most likely not go for him again so soon but I'd advise they swallow their pride and go for him. With Mbappe their attack would be much better and have all three forwards that are prolific goal scorers.
If they've fixed that then they can focus on their midfield.
