This's a first for me. I have two transactions that instead of showing confirmations it says these transactions are "Conflicted".
What on earth does that mean?
Thanks,

It appears that in order to run a full node port 8333 must be forwarded to that computer. However, I have two computer on the same router and I would like to run two full nodes. My router won't allow me to forward 8333 to the second computer. What must I do to get that second node up?
I'm running Bitcoin Core version v0.11.0 (64-bit).
Thanks.

Thanks for your input.
For me, every time I've used Coinbase and made a BTC withdrawal it has immediately appeared in my wallet. This time about 3 hours. Admittedly, I don't use it that often. Just when I want to make a transaction. That way I replenish what I used.
Another thought, I made this transfer late at night. Perhaps they don't keep as much on hand during that time. Who knows?

Why do you suppose it took Coinbase around 3 hours to actually transfer my coins after they said they had? Normally its instantaneous.

It is a shame, however, how Mt. Gox has caused the market to falter.

Just purchase a Red Fury off Ebay. It was advertised as new in the original packaging however this came with no packaging only bubble wrap.
Is there someone who has ordered these new that can tell me what to expect in the way of packaging?
Do I have a used item?

Considering that there will always be a limited number of Bitcoins, the greater the use the greater the value that must be stored in each Bitcoin. I expect the exchange rate to exceed $1000 USD soon.

I quit using banks 30 years ago. The nearest office of my credit union is now a four hour drive away but I use ATMs and a local credit union that's on the credit union network when an ATM won't do the job.

How long in hours, would it take to mine 0.01 BTC?
I'm running six of these and I earn 0.01 BTC every 24 hours give or take.

Thank you again. I think that clears it up.

Thank you for taking the time to answer however, I understand all you have said.
On my Active Worker Summary, however, it shows 34846 shares accepted yet under PPLNS Details it shows only 11,290 receiving payment. Also, my BFGMiner shows many more than 11,290 shares accepted.
I'm not necessarily unhappy with the payout but am wondering why the difference.

I've been mining on BTC guild at around 2 GHash/s. I notice I have many many more accepted shares than shares receiving payments. My payout has been around 0.01 in less than a day and I understand that's about average but doesn't explain what's going on.
Can someone clarify this?
Thanks.

I think its just fun.

I'm just not sure why some people are so set on PayPal. An alternative that's more generally accepted is Dwolla (or depending on where you have your checking account there are other alternatives).
If you've got funds in a Dwolla account, you might as well use MtGox. It's a piece of cake once you get the funds to Dwolla.

I bought my first bitcoin on ebay... just wanted to get one!
Me too, and for the same reason.

A Bitcoin is worth whatever someone's willing to exchange for it, be it US dollars or peanuts. The same is true of any other currency or item. To suggest that the exchange rate on MtGox or any other exchange sets the value of a Bitcoin is a very limited view.
As for the price on Ebay, if one were to purchase a Bitcoin on MtGox for $12.00. turn around and sell it on Ebay, it would need to be sold for around $14 in order to break even because of the fees. $20 is not unreasonable considering the potential for charge-backs.

Is this an attempt to make money off of newbies or are yo trying to spread the idea of bit coin? If the later, wouldn't you be better off by re-directing those people to a better resource?
Yup, I'm going to get real rich selling 0.10 BTC. Lets see, if I sold 17x0.10BTC, I might be able to buy a pizza with extra cheese. Don't forget the fees for selling on eBay and using PayPal.

Another thing to consider about Ebay pricing is that the prices have to be high to cover the risk. We all know about the risk of charge backs using PayPal.
Ebay is, however, a convenient way for beginners to obtain a bit of change to rattle around in their wallet. I got my first few coins that way.
