100 satoshi = 1$ when?

In 20 years, maybe.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] sgminer v5 - optimized X11/X13/NeoScrypt/Lyra2RE/etc. kernel-switch miner on: April 21, 2015, 03:41:56 PM
is it possible to hope that the data rate will be available to the common people? or are they only for the gods of coding?

If you wait until he's squeezed all the profit out of it, he might then share some BIN's with you!

He has bills to pay.

365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore CryptoNote Windows CPU Miner v3.4 on: April 17, 2015, 03:29:45 PM
Also; I thought I had come across a post recently where a CPU Miner had been released which acheived 1 k/hash mining XMR with a single 4770k CPU. The miner was specifically tuned for the 4770k.

Possibly I got things confused... anyone know anything about this or am I mistaken?

Cheers!

Strato

1kh/s on a single 4770k ? No way.

It is about 300H/S on stock.
366  Economy / Speculation / Re: Calling a five months target at $211 on: April 16, 2015, 09:22:10 AM
I think we can nominate this as one of the all time most accurate bitcoin predictions.

Yep and he said its up Smiley

It is accurate. So the price is at the critical point. Up we come.
367  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bottom is in at $215 buying like crazy on: April 16, 2015, 08:00:28 AM
The bottom is more like in $150. The price will fall in the following days, you should just wait a couple day until the price hits bottom. The price is in downtrend at the moment and will probably go down.

I will buy more when it reaches $150.
368  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: April 13, 2015, 02:50:41 PM
I'm pretty sure you could retire with 10 bitcoins Smiley

10K USD is realistic in 10 years

10x10=100K USD

Not enough, but prices that we are not able to logically imagine (it was NOT logical to think 1K per BTC would ever happen back then) CAN happen, so you could retire.

If bitcoin is still alive in 10 years, then it could be more than $10k in 10 years.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Stellar on: April 11, 2015, 05:16:53 PM
Because Ripple was pre-mined it is a scam? Wow some people are ignorant.

Yes I got some Ripple left and right, but the consensus is good.

Have an official foundation control the coin.

Bitcoin has an official foundation, but it has run out of money. Will Ripple foundation not have this problem? Can it draw funds from the premine?
370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU and CPU on: April 11, 2015, 02:06:03 PM
you need a private miner if you are going to bother making a gpu rig to roi

The developer will not sell you the miner if you have just a few rigs.
371  Economy / Economics / Re: Greek officials have previously pointed to Russia as a possible alternative sour on: April 11, 2015, 08:15:35 AM
China will play an important role as well, since the Chinese are really interested in the Piraeus port. Russian and China will probably help Greece for exchanges like the Piraeus port etc.

Greece can sell the Piraeus port and pass a law to get it back later.

Have not updated for a long time GPU miners.

What do you mean?

Keep on dreaming! Grin
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I need qubit rigs for this evening on: April 11, 2015, 08:02:08 AM
Well, the biggest farmer I know is in the 1,250 AMD GPU ballpark. But yeah, the SGMiner 5 implementation of Qubit is just horrid. I've only got somewhat more than twice its speed currently, though.

Are you going to do something similar to as you did on Whirlpool?
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU and CPU on: April 11, 2015, 07:50:59 AM
Do some ROI math unless you just are wanting to do it for fun.  But GPU rigs no longer are profitable to make.   Add up 6 GPU's and chances of paying them off anymore even with free electricity is almost zero chance.
Grin good the more people believe it, the better it is

Do  you mean you believe you can still ROI on a gpu rig?

You can. Well, he can, I can, I've no idea if you can.
Well they are coders : they have tweaked theirs miners which are more efficient than public ones, so they can ROI. But the golden age of gpu mining is probably over.
With some luck and wisdom, you can still ROI : I have mined vanillacoin as soon as gpu miners for nividia was released and I made some nice profits ( I didn't sold my vanillacoin, since I believe It can increase a lot again). I have made some little profits with geocoin too. But I loose with spreadcoin ( not selling at the right time).

To sum up, you can ROI but this is not easy. Better to buy gpu at discount or usaged.
Above all, it should be fun for you otherwise don't bother.

Those coders are not supported fully by the public, so they have to sell privately. The community as a whole suffers as somebody can dump efficiently mined coins.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 10, 2015, 11:20:40 AM
The direction is UP. In much higher probability than 52/48, which already qualifies for huge raises in Poker.

Dont forget the 1year aniversary next week, i am expecting some moves related to that

Why are you waiting for that? Is it some kind of a reason for the price to rise?  Shocked

I think there should be no reason to pump just because it is anniversary.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [POOL] YAAMP.COM Scrypt/Neo/Lyra2/X11/X13/X14/X15 Profit switch with exchange on: April 10, 2015, 09:36:22 AM
When the miners are rented, how much fee do you charge? For example, I have 100MH/s mining pointing towards Yaamp and those mining is rented out by Yaamp, I receive bitcoins, how much fee do you charge?

What is your cheapest way of buying Bitcoin or DGB from FIAT in the UK?

If you just want to buy a few bitcoins and do not trade, then use localbitcoins.com.
379  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: April 08, 2015, 08:08:54 AM
buy all you can, a 100$ million retirement is better than a 10 $ million retirement  Cheesy

This is the right answer if bitcoin does not go to 0.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: coins that you can trust for long term on: April 08, 2015, 08:06:55 AM

Litecoin, Next, Bytecoin - Go for alt coins that are innovative and original. Steer clear of clones, forks and 'we'll do this great thing sometime in the future' shitcoins like DOGE, Monero and Maidsafe.

Bytecoin is the first cryptonote coin and is being developed actively. However, it is tainted by 82% premine, otherwise it is another bitcoin.
