Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore CryptoNote Windows CPU Miner v3.4

Also; I thought I had come across a post recently where a CPU Miner had been released which acheived 1 k/hash mining XMR with a single 4770k CPU. The miner was specifically tuned for the 4770k.
Possibly I got things confused... anyone know anything about this or am I mistaken?
Cheers!
Strato
1kh/s on a single 4770k ? No way. It is about 300H/S on stock.

The bottom is more like in $150. The price will fall in the following days, you should just wait a couple day until the price hits bottom. The price is in downtrend at the moment and will probably go down.
I will buy more when it reaches $150.

Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years?

I'm pretty sure you could retire with 10 bitcoins 10K USD is realistic in 10 years 10x10=100K USD Not enough, but prices that we are not able to logically imagine (it was NOT logical to think 1K per BTC would ever happen back then) CAN happen, so you could retire. If bitcoin is still alive in 10 years, then it could be more than $10k in 10 years.

Because Ripple was pre-mined it is a scam? Wow some people are ignorant.
Yes I got some Ripple left and right, but the consensus is good.
Have an official foundation control the coin.
Bitcoin has an official foundation, but it has run out of money. Will Ripple foundation not have this problem? Can it draw funds from the premine?

Do some ROI math unless you just are wanting to do it for fun. But GPU rigs no longer are profitable to make. Add up 6 GPU's and chances of paying them off anymore even with free electricity is almost zero chance.
good the more people believe it, the better it is Do you mean you believe you can still ROI on a gpu rig? You can. Well, he can, I can, I've no idea if you can. Well they are coders : they have tweaked theirs miners which are more efficient than public ones, so they can ROI. But the golden age of gpu mining is probably over. With some luck and wisdom, you can still ROI : I have mined vanillacoin as soon as gpu miners for nividia was released and I made some nice profits ( I didn't sold my vanillacoin, since I believe It can increase a lot again). I have made some little profits with geocoin too. But I loose with spreadcoin ( not selling at the right time). To sum up, you can ROI but this is not easy. Better to buy gpu at discount or usaged. Above all, it should be fun for you otherwise don't bother. Those coders are not supported fully by the public, so they have to sell privately. The community as a whole suffers as somebody can dump efficiently mined coins.

The direction is UP. In much higher probability than 52/48, which already qualifies for huge raises in Poker.
Dont forget the 1year aniversary next week, i am expecting some moves related to that Why are you waiting for that? Is it some kind of a reason for the price to rise? I think there should be no reason to pump just because it is anniversary.

Litecoin, Next, Bytecoin - Go for alt coins that are innovative and original. Steer clear of clones, forks and 'we'll do this great thing sometime in the future' shitcoins like DOGE, Monero and Maidsafe.
Bytecoin is the first cryptonote coin and is being developed actively. However, it is tainted by 82% premine, otherwise it is another bitcoin.
