1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Genesis-mining.com || World's leading hashpower provider! on: July 21, 2015, 10:24:04 PM
Dear Genesis Mining Community

Just to let you know that at the moment we have a glitch with the dashboard, so this is why graphs and other info are not displaying properly at the moment.

Hopefully will be sorted soon.

Best Regards
Genesis Mining Support.

Just the dashboard? Does that affect timely payouts or just the stat reporting?
2  Local / Ελληνικά (Greek) / Counterparty token as a local currency for Greece on: July 09, 2015, 01:30:33 PM

Has anyone considered using a Counterparty token as a local currency during the crisis. The token can be named whatever a business, town or Government wants. That token could become a temporary or permanent currency, or a certificate of account for later payment once the crisis is resolved.

havelock seems to be unreachable ore down right now...anyone else ?

Works fine for me.

I cannot log in to amhash. So annoying... I am getting this:

Quote
An error occurred.

Sorry, the page you are looking for is currently unavailable.
Please try again later.

If you are the system administrator of this resource then you should check the error log for details.

Faithfully yours, nginx.

Has anyone had the same problem?

I think there will sometimes occur errors as they are developing new features for their system and expanding the whole system. For me, it works fine.

I am experiencing the same error. It seems very Hashie-esque... I hope that I am wrong.

here is the part of hashie chat code:

rivets.binders.user = function(el, value){
      if(value == "admin"){
         el.innerHTML = "&lt;<span class='user-admin'>Hashie (Official)</span>&gt;";
      } else if(value == "cryptoassets"){
         el.innerHTML = "&lt;<span class='user-admin'>bbit (Official)</span>&gt;";
      } else if(value == "QueenElsa"){
         el.innerHTML = "&lt;<span class='user-elsa'>Queen Elsa</span>&gt;";
      } else {
         el.innerHTML = "&lt;" + value + "&gt;";
      }
As one can see only three persons have admin rights, ie Hashie (Official), bbit (Official) and Queen Elsa

So who is bbit?

Look here http://bitcoinchangeclub.org/blog/tag/bbit/

As one can notice there is  bbit link on http://bitcoinchangeclub.org/blog/tag/bbit/   page and http://bitchangeclub.org/ URL behind the link (quick redirect tp bitcoin org) . So looks like bbit is abreviation for bitcoinchangeclub

The Exutive Director of bitchangeclub.org is Jane Kreisman known as  Bit*Jane http://bitcoinchangeclub.org/about-us

(http://bitcoinchangeclub.org/files/2014/06/BitJane.jpg  here is she)

She advocates both GAW and Hashie on various sources.  http://bitcoinchangeclub.org/  is all about GAW and Hashie. Nothing more

She  knows both Sahra Hall (presumably our Queen Elsa) and Matthew Myrtle  (presumably Hashie official)

Is BitJane  mysterious bbit?

A little sleuthing showed that Bitcoin Jane Kreisman uses an Administrator named Dr. Paul Coates, http://bitcoinchangeclub.org/about-us/

Mr. Coates, looks to have been involved in:
a PayPal billing scam back in the 90's http://bruner.dreamhosters.com/2004/07/new-paypal-spam-scam/, where he ran a bondage podcast that was blind billing people
a Second Life property scam in the 2000's, http://forums-archive.secondlife.com/130/2a/106692/2.html
and is currently turning his existing website into a cloud hashing service, www.signaturenetworks.net

I also stumbled upon his foundations for working dogs and a Hashtalk posting for a golf cart donation fund. His Facebook page shows him driving a golf cart and walking with a cane and dog.

Looks like Bitcoin Jane Kreisman has removed her Administrator named Dr. Paul Coates, from the http://bitcoinchangeclub.org/about-us/ page sometime in the last 24 hours. Gee that doesn't look guilty as all hell.

If cloud hashing in general and anyone involved with the Hashie scam wasn't enough to scare you away this link should close the deal.

Look at this crap...by "Dr" Coates

Could this guy be Queen Elsa? He is self diagnosed with multiple mental issues. I'm thinking he might be a good candidate.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] e-Peso: the government-backed currency for the Philippines (launch 30-oct) on: October 27, 2014, 10:51:59 AM

Neither is real. A government issued currency is not going to be mineable, droppable or in any way free to early adopters. The "coin" will be a one for one exchange of fiat currency at Phiippine banks. All of this mineable e-Peso is a fantasy designed to separate you from your money.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] e-Peso: the government-backed currency for the Philippines (launch 30-oct) on: October 27, 2014, 12:43:49 AM

In case any of you are confused with the "other" fake ePesos... this one is a real coin that will get listed in exchanges, done by a competent team who's launched cryptocurrencies successfully before.

"Real" as in, really important for your personal bottom line with no regard for the damage you are doing to the actual initiative the Philippine Government is attempting. If your coin is successful it will undermine real currency and do irreparable harm to future endeavors. Your opportunistic narcissim is a thin mask for your greed. Anyone who invests in this travesty is simply donating to the furtherance of future endeavors of this ill conceived nature. I wish you all of the worst luck possible.

Aaaaaaand boom goes the dynamite Kiss. It's already out the door and I'm going to give it to the Philippine Government for free.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EPESO] - E-Peso Initiative | Gov't-backed | Free Distribution | Test Case on: October 19, 2014, 01:49:12 AM

    • Counterparty - This platform almost suit the needs of a national currency, however since it's based on the Bitcoin blockchain, it is still slow

    We have come to the conclusion that the best platform for our test currency is Viacoin's Clearinghouse Protocol. We've chosen Clearinghouse since it promises a much faster and scalable solution to issue a national digital currency in the coming months. Also, ownership and coin supply of the asset can be changed. The Philippine government may or may not acquire this asset.
    .
    http://xch.blockscan.com/assetinfo.aspx?q=EPESO

    We will update this thread on how we'll distribute coins later this coming week. We will give bounties according to your contribution.

    Take note: depending on the outcome, we do not guarantee that EPESO will be adapted.

    Mabuhay ang Pinas!

    Use Counterparty for large sums/transactions and Dogeparty for mobile wallets and small transactions. This is really not that complicated. Everything to make it happen already exists.

    And, who exactly tasked you with this? If not the PI Government then...? Yourselves? Undecided
    11  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Philippine Government E-Peso Proposal on: October 19, 2014, 01:42:23 AM

    The "coin" isn't going to fly. Sorry.

    https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=826567.0

    As for the Philippine Government? The PI Government can easily use a tokenized asset named EPESO from within Counterparty. It would allow the Central Bank to fully utilize the openness and security benefits of the Bitcoin Blockchain while having full control of currency issuance and price via a vending application like vennd.io. Another option is to utilize Dogeparty either with or in lieu of Counterparty for faster mobile applications requiring quick settlements, such as bus tokens, Movie tickets, sending a Birthday email with some cash embedded, etc. However, they appear to be trying to do it the exceedingly hard way via 19th and 20th century models adapted to 1990's speculative reports. Just Google "E-PESO" and USAID to see the plan they already have in progress. It reads like a manual written by my Grandmother telling me how to DVR a television show. They are re-inventing the wheel and making it square.

    The fact that someone anonymous wants to create this, with no clear indication of how(...)
    ePeso has just been announced... you'll have more details in due time. The official website will be up next week.

    So, to the OP - who are you and what is your background
    I'm a software engineer. Some recent cryptocurrency-related experience: I've run some pools (CrunchPool currently), I helped patch stratum for maxcoin, I helped patch NewYork coin and I created a block explorer for it. I've also created and maintained SpainCoin.

    However, if you change the algo to a totally premined coin, with only PoS mining to keep it stable (a la Blackcoin), with a clear method of giving it ALL away to Philippines residents, and total transparency as to where the coins go, then I might support it.
    What? now calling for a 100% premine?? Shocked PoS is not secure in its current form as implemented in the many PoS coins in existance. Among other things,it needs constant checkpointing to prevent attacks. That's why the ePeso won't be a premined PoS coin.

    Seriously? They, the PI Govt, are either going to create their own or use Counterparty. This "E-PESO" project was contracted out over a year ago by USAID. Google it. That contract specification is everything you would expect from a Government entity, out of touch, with old data and hopelessly and needlessly complex. Eventually the PI Govt will either use just BTC or go with a tokenized system they can control completely until they can make the transition to BTC. This coin of yours is not going to fly. Try the Ecuador Sucre that is about to be launched next month. The E-peso you have is DOA.
