181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: stolen bitcoins from Bitcoin Core on: June 20, 2015, 02:14:51 PM
You can backup the wallet.dat, perform a fresh install of Bitcoin core and let the synchronisation process complete. Then copy the wallet.dat once the client is synchronised and check your balance.
182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Robbed of BTC at gunpoint -- a real concern? on: June 20, 2015, 02:11:05 PM
Something that bothers me is how some people who have bitcoin like to announce it to the world and how much they have. I don't go around announcing how much money I have to spend. In any case, it's all a matter of common sense and being careful.
183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A country declareing itself a bitcoin business haven, is sitting on a goldmine on: June 20, 2015, 02:09:05 PM
Isn't the Isle of Man promoting itself as a bitcoin business haven?
184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & Exchanges , contradiction ? on: June 20, 2015, 02:02:45 PM
The issue is when fiat money (or currency in general) becomes involved, there are all sorts of systems and legislation in place, because the governments always want to control money. If it was possible to exchange bitcoin for something else of value, perhaps identification won't be required?
185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MasterCard makes the case that it’s safer and faster than Bitcoin! LOL on: June 20, 2015, 02:00:37 PM
Go home, MasterCard! You're drunk.
186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 17-year-old Bitcoiner faces prison for tweeting about... You guessed it! Bitcoin on: June 20, 2015, 01:56:32 PM
So much for being the land of the free. The title is misleading and sensationalist though. Pretty sure he's not facing prison for tweeting about bitcoin.
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: mastercard attacking Bitcoin on: June 20, 2015, 01:52:53 PM
This is just sad. I got a Neteller Net+ card because they allowed instant funding with bitcoin which makes it easy for spending. A week or two later, they cancelled the ability to spend bitcoin funds because MasterCard asked them to stop. It's insane.
188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: List of Major Bitcoin Heists, Thefts, Hacks, Scams, and Losses on: June 20, 2015, 01:51:03 PM
This doesn't seem to cover the Evolution darknet market exit scam.
189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Bitcoin Client do you use and why ? on: June 20, 2015, 01:48:58 PM
Desktop: Bitcoin Core - I actually run this on a VPS due to the blockchain size, but I move coins out as soon as they get in.
Phone: Bitdash Wallet for Android - because we eat our own dog food.
190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: anyone read this article: The scam called Bitcoin? on: June 20, 2015, 01:47:10 PM
Sounds like a clickbait article for ad money. Everyone's paying attention to bitcoin now, so it's not surprising.
191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to the "Bitcoin Standard" on: June 20, 2015, 01:45:26 PM
a long time ago gold was a precious thing t and its a best way to invest yor money, gold was exist since period of moses till now,but now bitcoin is a precious thing to and its should have a standard like a gold i believe bitcoin more precious in 100 years latter, like gold

are you sure what with your opinion? what the reason you think like that
i dont think bitcoin can change gold because bitcoin doesnt have physical like gold

Being not physical is actually better. You can instantly send a large amount across the world within seconds.

This can also be a con as you can also lose a large amount within seconds if not properly secured.

194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does "Satoshi" remain anonymous? on: June 20, 2015, 01:19:41 PM
Because it's his/her choice. Assuming that s/he does exist. Smiley
195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many friends did you recommend bitcoin to? Did they accept it? on: June 20, 2015, 01:15:59 PM
I've talked about it with friends, but haven't recommended it, since there are no business around where I am accepting bitcoin yet.
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mike Hearn: In about 1-2 weeks, Bitcoin XT will include support for 20mb blocks on: June 20, 2015, 01:14:51 PM
What's the status on this? I'm thinking of spinning a few Bitcoin XT nodes on some geographically distributed VPSes.
197  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IRS 501(c)(3) Public Charities That Accept Bitcoin on: June 20, 2015, 01:12:50 PM

198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I let my last credit/debit card expire this month on: June 20, 2015, 01:11:29 PM
Your other post shows that you use the ANX debit card. How is that working out for you? Have you tried out other cards? What is your experience so far?
199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 175 Quadrillion Zimbabwean Dollars Now Equals 0.02164502 BTC on: June 20, 2015, 01:09:26 PM
I've always found it amusing and fascinating how the Zimbabwean currency lost so much of its value.
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lloyds issues Emerging Risk Report on Bitcoin on: June 20, 2015, 01:08:11 PM
This goes to show that bitcoin is definitely gaining traction and attention. Hopefully, this drives demand, and the price goes up.
