1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Main] Bitcore-BTX- Bitcoin UTXO Fork 2017 - Bridge BTX <->SBTX (BSC2) on: October 02, 2024, 03:17:57 PM
Being dropped by pools means a lot about the future of this coin. It is still on exchange and yet zergpool has let it go.
Many same aspects of LTC but 1/4 the time for halving to occur... and yet worth pennies. Now do you see halving means squat?

The only reason you see a blip in mining is due to your post. Waking people up to the coin. Marketing is the ONLY way a coin grows in value. Nothing else.

Hello elmo40, thank you for your message. The idea behind Bitcore is to emulate Bitcoin during the halving process. Therefore, Bitcore will always halve in the same year as Bitcoin. We are aware that this alone is not enough to build a large community. That’s why we are also attempting to burn excess BTX with the resources available to us. However, even burning coins may only have an effect in the long term. We can only strive to provide a solid framework for crypto enthusiasts.

I am in contact with Zergpool. Alternatively, I can also recommend aikapool.com/btx.

Dear community,

the first halving of Bitcore was successfully completed.
Everything went smoothly, and the network is running securely.

I am using previous version of client v.0.17.9.2 and running sometimes just to get sync with network and it works;  "current number of blocks  1382830" with date 13 dec 2023.

after seeing your post I started client and it get 2 connection with nodes with even older version of client: v0.14.2

...but thats all, client can not get more connections and synchronise to current date - it seems it doesn't work anymore Sad

The wallet version 21.1 seems to be stuck at block 1370647. It appears that other clients are disconnecting. I couldn't detect any fork.

Debug "Potential stale tip detected, will try using extra outbound peer"

Ehm.. Just for my better understanding.

Christian, when are you wrote "Debug "Potential stale tip detected, will try using extra outbound peer"", did you mean you are debugging it now, or you suggest us to debug it?
I am ok with both options, but would slightly prefer the first one Smiley

I have written that to joshafest. He want to fix this problem.

Today I tried to buy something that cost 40 dollars with BTC and was just about to send it until I saw it would cost twice as much as the item was worth to send it on chain. How come BTX is not worth more than BTC right now???

That is indeed an intriguing question. Currently, our 20 MB blocks are far from being fully utilized. In general, every other project is simply not BTC. In my opinion, this situation is unlikely to change significantly. Therefore, users may be looking for more cost-effective methods to securely send their coins in the future. BTX is definitely prepared for that.

Today someone transferred 55 BITCOINS and paid a fee.
(network transaction cost)
83 BTC !!!

Remind everyone that the transaction cost on the BTX network is only a few cents!!!

Just like the person on discord said.
It's time to add something new to BTX. The BRC20 protocol is very popular now. This protocol can also verify the advantages of BTX’s fast transfer and 20M blocks. This is the only chance to make BTX great again.

We have limited experience with BRC20. It's a new domain, and it requires careful testing over time. Currently, there are no short-term plans for a BRC20 extension.

if you want to resurrect the project, you need to find a good utility idea. simethink like: Bit=bits, Send = Send encrypted documents to destination. or anything.

Resurrection ...

It's always a long shot when it comes to Long Standing Projects that have done nothing. Believe Me, I know :|

I wouldn't resurrect it, I would more like to see if Christian is willing to work alongside Us with CWI.

ElBandi - You are a VERY Long Time Veteran altogether and Your opinions matter and are always taken in high regard also, so You seriously think a resurrection of BitSend is worth the effort? Especially if Christian is more or less walking away from it?

#crysx #cwi

You can write me a PM. Maybe can i help you. I like your idea to support old projects.

Lightning Network,Tumblebit, Schnorr Signatures,
Confidential Transactions, Cross-chain atomic
swaps, and so on.
We are already exploring all these new functions,
and testing the water.
We expect the first implementations as fast as
possible.

PoW Algo
BitCore BTX has developed a new
algorithm named Mega-BTX designed to make
FPGA mining too expensive and make mining
efficient with GPU and CPU equipment. This
new algorithm Mega-BTX version 1.9.9.5 will be
launched September 1st, 2020 12:00 pm (UTC),
and as it was mentioned before is made mainly
to support GPU mining.

Binance Chain Bridge 1:1 BTX - SBTX
BitCore BTX introduces its first BEP-20 token:

___MasterNodes
Odarhom brings along a masternode
system for BitCore. The collateral
for one masternode is 2,100 BTX.
This allows up to 10,000 masternodes
to support the network. The
masternodes receive half of all
generated bitcores. It is possible
to setup a masternode with the
minimum version 0.90.x.x or higher.
A government system is included in
the new core on and can be activated
later, if necessary.

Hello everyone,
we have extended the hosting with ChainzID for another year. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to support Bitsend to the extent I would like to. My circumstances have changed since the first post seven years ago. If someone is motivated to support the project in any way, I will do my best to assist.

We have paid for one year. Thank you for your reminder.

This would be a neat, cheap way to experiment with running a masternode (assuming that's to your taste), but the biggest barrier I'd have with that is the absolute dearth of exchanges available to me to buy enough coins.  I've never used XT.com, Graviex, and I haven't a clue what Pancakeswap is all about, and those are basically it.
On freiexchange.com you can also buy BTX coins, but they are not really cheap there. Use the exchange also from time to time for many years and never had problems there.  Smiley

As a side note, I just read that Neblio (anyone heard of it?) was "acquired" by some group:
I’ve never heard of anything like that. That sounds a little strange to me, too. Still, it’s interesting. I wonder what effect it has on Neblio. I’ll have to read into the subject.

Whether it would be good for BTX is hard to say. Maybe BTX should partner with large companies that then use the blockchain for their projects. But finding such partners is certainly not easy. Either way I hope BTX will find more recognition in the future. The team has really put a lot of effort into moving the project forward, even if it has become a bit quiet.  Smiley

You can also try to buy BTX via Pancake
https://dex.guru/token/0x000000089fb24237da101020ff8e2afd14624687-bsc

... after then you can withdrawal your coins to the bitcore network.

Core 0.21 works well for me. Are there any replacements for the omission of the masternode?

The dev Joshafest want to add POS or stuff like that.

Why is block data suspended?

Version 0.21 is not very stable, in win7
stop running. I have reverted to the old version
Any reports?

What is the easiest exchange to trade BTX on these days people?

I can recommend panecake or Hotbit.

Seeing that the price gap between BTX and the forked coins BCH, BSV, and BTG is huge, why?
What is the real reason for this situation? The team can only make progress if they really face the problem.

__I could tell you exactly what you said, but changing the X for C, because Bitcoin today costs more than $47,000 and BTG only $40, or bcash $400, BSV something more than $100 ... There is no situation here BTX is a great project, only that you should understand that each project is independent, and that you can not copy 100% any project, because even if there are forks the people who integrate the development and communities are TOTALLY different, and no matter how much you want ETH will never be ETC or ADA. LOL  Grin__

Seeing a new coin today, there is a new breakthrough in the concept of issuing coins. For the btx team, it is not the pursuit of issuing several coins (even with different technologies). How to use blockchain technology to achieve a breakthrough in concept, Hopefully this coin introduction will be enlightening.
https://havenprotocol.org/
Special note, I don't advertise  this coin, I just hope it will be helpful to btx. The price of the coin the team has developed is too low and needs to get out of the woods.

Thank you for your feedback.  Smiley
