Just buy some cheap but new laptop which will always be used only for crypto wallets. It should not be connected all the time. Use VPN and Antivirus/Antimalware software. You should sign messages and enter passwords only offline!

ICO is a very convenient and highly effective way of crowdfunding. It takes pretty little effort to attract money to already working project. On the other hand is IPO. It takes a lot of money/time/effort to collect money. For investors already existed firms are the best choice just because of confidence in legitimnes of the project we invest in.

The short answer is yes. You should add custom token at your wallet where you put its name, digits count and contract address. After that you will be able to see your airdropped tokens.
