1045  Other / New forum software / Re: ChangeTip for bitcointalk? on: December 30, 2014, 05:01:31 AM
Ha, theymos likely has more important things to do and I'm not going to pester him with this stuff. I'm sure he will see these threads where people keep requesting it and take note. He has commented on one of these topics before so I hope it happens, but let's just wait for the new forum or the beta update first. It can always be implemented at a later date.
Given enough time I could probably make a third-party system for BitcoinTalk.org tipping by making a system which listens for registered users' posts and scan them accordingly for phrases like "^tip 60 bits Vortex20000", first checking if the tipper has enough, then checking if "Vortex20000" exists, then doing the relevant deduction/addition.

However, this defeats the purpose of ChangeTip.com as you would have to have a separate account and all...

But that would need a Bitcointalk wallet, right? So if there is any hacking or similar and if Bitcoins are lost, that would create big problems and some may tell it was done deliberately. Roll Eyes I think it is better to use Changetip. Smiley

Bitcointalk wallet?

Basically you would have to trust a service, say Bitcointalktip, with your money, just like you trust Changetip with your money. It would be possible for a 2-3 multisig address with theymos, BadBear, and someone else (hilarious?) to be made to store most of the funds of this service, but yes, you will have to trust the hot wallet operator (the system, in this case) with your funds.

It would be possible for trusted members of the community to review the code, though (minus sensitive info, like SQL db passwords).
I think a large amount of the tips will be a tiny amount. So the funds don't rely matter. But then,  this forum is  huge  350k+ members!  Maybe a crowd funding would help in security implementations

Regarding coincompound, Im having issues because I suspect many bots bro, so they are not ethical traffic.
What kind of issues?
I'll pm you,  that's better. I don't want to go off topic on an auction thread
1047  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain.info Bussiness model on: December 29, 2014, 01:27:59 PM
Even I had this question in mind when I first signed up for a wallet
https://blockchain.info/advertise
check that out, and see their stats.
Moreover, they got a neat sum of investments
http://lsvp.com/2014/10/07/why-we-are-investing-in-blockchain/
$30 million and that to in series A
That is really amazing.

1049  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which Cloud Miners Are Reliable and Guaranteed on: December 29, 2014, 01:20:37 PM
Hello BitCoiners!
I would like to know any cloud miner that is reliable and guaranteed with proof to invest with.
I think CEX-io has always been a good option for cloudmining, though I have never tried it.
Lol, you seriously got to be kidding me, CEX.io is by far, in my views one of the worst platforms for cloud mining.
To the OP: Most cloud mining companies are not profitable

1051  Economy / Services / Re: Create your own faucet for only 0.025 BTC ! on: December 29, 2014, 01:14:04 PM
Can you implement custom dice scripts and stuff? I just dont want the click to claim faucet, something like an interesting dice roll and depending on your roll, the payout is determined

1054  Economy / Digital goods / Re: • !! Big Domain Auction !! • on: December 29, 2014, 01:02:43 PM
I'd like to buy dailybonus.net right away. for 0.015 or microfaucet for 0.015, if its not okay, dont accept this bid please.
It's quite too low ... sorry, cannot accept it.
As a bid, I can accept.
I don't know what people expect when they want to buy a domain name.
It's clear what I offer:
- domain name registration costs + some a bit extra on it

Why?
As they are good domains - SEO easy.
I had myself a challenge with CoinCompound.com and I made it.
It's SEO hard, also long domain name by letters, but it have visits for last 8 months pretty well.
I done it to many websites with nice names, but they are easy to make them popular, as when you search on google a domain name with unique+quality word(s), it appear sometimes even without many work on it.

0.015 = ~5$ which is lower then registration price on any registrar, sorry.

Cheers!
Regarding coincompound, Im having issues because I suspect many bots bro, so they are not ethical traffic.

1056  Other / New forum software / Re: Register and login through social networks on: December 29, 2014, 12:08:40 PM
While I hate signing up for each and every forum again by doing those pesky typing stuff. I dont think social media logins would be used, with multi accounting alloed, many people maintaining alts and stuff.
1057  Other / New forum software / Re: ChangeTip for bitcointalk? on: December 29, 2014, 12:05:18 PM
I'm all for it. I think it would be a nice way to reward helpful or quality posters instead of just saying 'thanks' etc. It would also encourage the flow of bitcoins and help some of the newbies aquire their first bits instead of wasting time on faucets etc.
Thats exactly what Im saying. Tipping people even in small amounts would be really motivating for them, for example they make a nice topic or tutorial, we need to tip them.
Please try to implement this by contacting theymos, since you're a mod  Cheesy
