1  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: April 12, 2016, 11:10:16 AM
Wondering there are some altcoin signature campaigns but no one is listed on OP. Could those altcoins campaign be added on the list? Or this is just for non-altcoins campaign?

This is obviously just for campaigns paying in bitcoins. There's a seperate list for alt coins somewhere.
2  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: March 29, 2016, 09:44:58 AM
Why would we buy bitcoins? Because we believe in it as a currency. Personally I'm buying what I can afford each month as I'm certain they're going to rise in value for the halving and should be able to make a nice profit with them.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach $700 again on: March 14, 2016, 02:36:01 PM
I think it could go to around $700 with the halving. It's going to be interesting for sure. I'm sure the price will spike but what I'm most worried about is how long it will stay like that before we get a crash. I still think bitcoin will go to over 1k again but we could be waiting a while for that. Hopefully bitcoin will creep up growing steadily over time instead of booming which is healthier in my opinion.

5  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC = 1000$ in 2016 on: February 29, 2016, 05:59:16 PM
I can see bitcoin rallying a hundred or two nearing/leading up to the halving but can't see it going to over 1k again anytime soon. That probably only happened because of the fraud trading over at gox. I think for that to happen again we're going to need some decent mainstream adoption and that has been slow the past couple of years.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: February 02, 2016, 04:30:25 PM
in the next 20 years I might only be able to collect up to 100-200 bitcoin. so I will hold 100-200 bitcoin to see the price $10,000 in 20 years to come

Bitcoin might have failed by then... or maybe the fiat economy will have and 1btc will be worth thousands  Grin. I think 100 bitcoins would be a nice amount to have and hold, though. I think bitcoin will hopefully go back to 1k again at some point and depending on where you live 100k could make your life very comfortable. I know I could survive off that for probably 50 years if you only have to pay rent and food etc. Pesonally I wouldnt set myself goals and just keep a nice amount in btc but one you could afford to lose as nothing is certain.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyone is hyping about bitcoin price in 2016 on: February 01, 2016, 10:14:33 AM
Everyone is hyping 2016 because of the halving and let's face it that's pretty much all we've got to look forward to this year. Currently bitcoin has become very uncertain because of all the infighting and temper tantrums from devs that have happened and merhcant adoption is very slow.

The price MUST go up or all these large farms will become unprofitable and shut down which would create vacum in the market. So it s inevitable, the price of a commodity this big, with such a huge demand MUST rise as soon as supply gets halved.
Nothing is certain and nothing is a must. After previous halving price of bitcoin actually went down. How exactly lack of specialized bitcoin farms will create vacuum?
It will actually be the same story imo, maybe difficulty will be lower and normal people could be mining again with profits? And you are forgetting that we already have more than 15 millions of BTC floating around.

Nothing is certain but bitcoin was designed like this and due to supply and demand the value should increase over time. If the price continues to fall it will eventually become unprofitable for the miners and if so then we're in real trouble.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mike Hearn needs to make a full public apology on: January 17, 2016, 01:35:02 PM
He's not going to apologise and this is probably secretly what he wanted. Just look at what little it took for his words to have a drastic impact on bitcoins price. If it can fall by $100 or whatever just by someone saying its doomed (which was fud) then it makes me a little concerned for the future of btc What happens if a few prominent people say its dead? Are we going to see a fall by hundreds of dollars based on that? Someone saying something bad about bitcoin shouldn't have such an effect.

Doesn't seem like much time at all  Grin.
10  Other / Archival / Re: should i save btc for future? on: December 21, 2015, 06:39:18 PM
i have a little doubt about btc price in future.should i save btc for increasing value of bitcoin?

or maybe price of btc will be down in 5-10 year
just imagine about future of btc and tell me should i save bitcoins for future or not...?
I will not spend all my Bitcoins, it is better to save it to the future in case the price increases so much

But what if the price decreases too? I think it would be wise to save them for a little bit in the future but I also think bitcoin could be surpassed by better technology or people loosing interest after a while. It will be interesting to see what happens either way though I guess.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your story, how did you become interested in Bitcoin? on: December 08, 2015, 10:20:42 AM
I just saw it mentioned on the news and thought "that's an awesome idea" then got involved straight away. I think it's going to be a long wait but bitcoin should eventually be used as a worldwide currency an alterantive to fiat money around the world.
12  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be the impact of Open Bazaar on BTC price? on: November 23, 2015, 02:51:54 PM
It might have some effect on the btc price but not right after it opens up.

I believe it will take a while before this takes off.

Exactly my thoughts. OB is too small currently to have an effect, but hopefully it will grow via word of mouth over time and if it gets to a sizeable userbase then I could see it having an effect on the price, but probably not any time soon. I'm excited for it to be released though and will hopefully use it myself.
13  Other / Off-topic / Re: General Football Discussion - 2015/16 Season on: November 08, 2015, 05:31:39 PM
Chelsea played a great game yesterday, if they continue this form, then they surely win the BPL again this season.  Cheesy

I'm loving watching them. Very funny how they can't seem to win in the EPL. I wonder what are the odds or chances of them getting relegated? I'm sure they wont but it would be hillarious if they did.

Tinashe - Bet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8Ku_ZAxnKM

Pretty sexy song as well as video. One of the best R&B albums I've heard in a while.

Germany v Georgia for the pick today? Hopefully Germany will bounce back though would be funny if they lost again but doubt it.
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: There's spies everywhere on this forum... on: September 28, 2015, 09:58:42 AM
What evidence do you have for spies being here or is this a troll/fud thread?

Not me. I don't want anyone's bitcoins. I don't even know what I'd do with one. I heard they cost 300 each.

Here is your post from three days ago - asking for $19,000.    Roll Eyes

Looks like I'll have to make a dedicated thread in Reputation to keep track of this liar.

Something doesn't add up about her that's for sure. Probably just a troll or scammer and doubt she's a female.

Atonement by Ian Mcewan. Not a fan of most of his other stuff though. You can watch the film if you can't be bothered reading the book  Grin.
18  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's the story behind your bitcointalk username? on: September 28, 2015, 09:53:19 AM
In my native language its means useless.

Why did you choose a name that means useless? Pretty self deprecating.

I'm sure people can guess where my name comes from but if you cant:

There is nothing interesting about the place I live. Besides, I don't want everyone to know where I live  Grin.
