Thank you !

One clarification to the latter answer you've provided :

There are a number of sites out there dedicated to crypto in one fashion or another.  Most coins have their own boards and websites.  There are dedicated news sites.  Twitter is another large forum for spreading information.

are there additional site/board for advice/collaboration specifically for and/or about Bitcoin miners that you know of  (other than twitter)?
3  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Wondering out loud: how do most of the miners use their mined Bitcoin on: May 15, 2015, 12:36:19 PM
Thanks trendax, I appreciate your Insights.
It seems to me there's a substantial doctrine around mining, that I have to catchup with. Shocked

Another question that came to mind is about collaboration between miners and/or exchange of information:

1. To what degree do miners collaborate with each other (for example: purchasing miners in bulk, purchasing datacenter services , electricity etc) ?

2. other than Bitcointalk, and reddit forums,  are there additional "spaces"/forums/groups/other that miners use to catchup on things and/or use for discussions  ?

Thanks !

Much appreciated!

Do you purchase goods ?
Do you keep the Bitcoin in a wallet, in hopes it will appreciate in value someday ?
Do you immidiately trade it for fiat to cover costs, and use up the remainder ?
Do you keep the BTC and use it to daytrade in the Exchanges ?

P.S - side question :  Do you refer to Bitcoin as a plural form or do you prefer "Bitcoins" as the plural form ?  just wondering if there's a strong inclination one way or the other

** EDIT:   typo BT changed to BTC
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / is there a resource estmating the # of day traders per Bitcoin based exchanges ? on: May 14, 2015, 05:52:43 AM

Who is the owner? And why should we trust the owner not to run away?

This question can be asked about almost any Bitcoin based service and even fiat based business out there.
There are some common best practices that any exchange should follow: from proof of reserves to security and due diligence: KaiserBourse will conform to these guidelines.

There is another best practice. for Traders checking out a new service :

1. Before committing to a large deposit, make a small one, then ask to pull out your deposit.

2. Another thing is deposit only what you want to trade with. then pull out balance when transaction ends. This way you don't have to rely on the Exchange for the long run. just for Ad-hoc trading.

Additional "Trader best practice" suggestions are welcome

Yeah right, this question about the owner can be asked and should be ask!
And your common best practice examples don't answers this question!

By the way, i don't invest without knowing the postal address of the service provider.

how can you insure BTC if you are not even providing your address?

The relevant information will be provided once we'll be open for business.
Having said that, the deposit insurance offering will very much depend on the traders' interest in this specific feature.

So, my question is now, what exactly await you by announcing this pre-launch.
Do you provide investment opportunities before you are open for business?

The pre-launch is intended for members interested in receiving direct updates about the launch.
We do not provide the service at this time, and we are definitely considering a soft launch intended for those who signed up.

The specific Postal address will be know at launch/soft-launch.
I'm curious to understand more about your consideration of postal address.

Also, I'd be happy to get some background about your investment preferences/interests, if you don't mind sharing (please feel free to PM me)
preferred volatility-levels , are you using API trading , or algo, or prefer to trade directly via website
(only if this is not

10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For the life of me, i don't understand "blockchain exchanges" on: May 06, 2015, 05:37:53 PM
There are a lot of reasons behind, like the onchain gambling site, some kinds of campaign, sending message,  begging for donation and faucet payment etc.

But there are other way to achieve these without using the blockchain.
using the blockchain and bloating it affects the ability of people to host the blockchain on their computers, the reduces the overall distribution of the blockchain as a direct result of this misuse
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: For the life of me, i don't understand "blockchain exchanges" on: May 06, 2015, 07:12:55 AM
this is why something like saidchain will be needed, to put there all the unnecessary and superfluous things, without wasting space on the blockchain

You're saying there's something in the works ?
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / For the life of me, i don't understand "blockchain exchanges" on: May 06, 2015, 04:41:14 AM
why fill the blockchain with unnecessary garbage that bloats the size of the blockchain when you can put your "stuff"  in your own database and be done with.
Blockhain should be about Bitcoin moving from one wallet to the other, instead of throwing all the troubles of the world as if this was a global recycle bin.

In my view - Traders want and need service.  it is immaterial whether this service is based on a database or on the blockchain

Some of the well known exchanges have proven themselves to be trust worthy. And they have viable and lucrative business model that make them unlikely to kill the golden goose.

I'm not implying that a successful and reliable company would intentionally act to defraud its customers.
I'm saying there are many external factors that could impact a company's stability.

Being a young company has its advantages. both for the company, and for its customers.
New companies introduce new and valuable services, and add to the overall market competitiveness.

What kind of exchange do you advertise here?
What can i exchange? Old socks?
Can you please explain a bit more about the link you provide?
And say also why does your site "exchange with Deposit insurance" not supports a https:// connection?

It will have to be No, on the socks part.

This exchange will be about trading various high volatility financial assets.
We will introduce new assets to trade on,  Our focus will not be "more of the same" BTC/FIAT trading.

Some people ask the community for donations.
While we are asking the community to show support by adding an email address, and receive further updates about our service launch.

same question here. any kind of exchange should offer its users a safe connection. it is something that should have been done before asking people to sign up.

When site is launched, of course.   While you are referring to a pre-launch landing page.

And you will add secure connection when the site launch?

Of course. Using SSL will be one of several measures to secure our service

With the large numbers of [day/short-term] traders out there Today, this question seems relevant more than ever.

Do most/all exchanges work under the premise that the traders are responsible for reporting about profits/losses  at their country of origin ?

IF an Exchange is cooperating with global authorities/regulators [according to customer's country of origin] , is it doomed to fail ?
will traders keep away from Exchanges that work with regulators ?
