This is very interesting to follow the development of this situation at the moment.

I hope and believe that this is only good for bitcoin.

Symbol    BTC, Bitcoin BTC,[5] ฿,[6] Ƀ[7]

So, is this ฿ what you are looking for?

I had hopes for this thread, but I hardly consider 30 min updates as "real time".  Sad

EDIT 2013-04-15:
History value is now calculated from our database (no 15min cache), thus there are no 15 or 30 minute update.
Value is now updated every 30 seconds (no Auto-Updating feature yet).

30 min update is only applied to history value, since it won't be updated so often at Mt. Gox.
It is going to be lowered to 15 minutes though (maximum API request limit for history value at Mt. Gox).

But yeah true. In the future there is going to be history value which relies on our own systems.

Thank you for your feedback! Smiley

Any plans to include live market depth, etc., like what is shown at http://bitcoin.clarkmoody.com?

Yeah maybe in future. I have thought including market depth, but it is pretty heavy data to display. We'll see.

Hello all!

Real Time BTC is a website where you can follow value/price and other stats of bitcoin in real-time. It is super fast, simple and easy to use.

www.realtimebtc.com

First of all I would like to say that this is a first project of mine related to bitcoins. It is still in BETA and new features and improvements are added daily hourly.
Goal of this project is to provide a website which offers real time information of bitcoin, mainly related to price and markets with fastness and simplicity.

I will list some features and information of the website which it offers and what is coming up.

Features:
  • Real time price of bitcoin
  • Auto-Updater for real time price (adjustable time, enable/disable feature), for suspicious people there is a refresh button which updates price manually
  • History price from 24 hours, 7 days and from 30 days
  • Multiple currencies (16 different currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD and so on)
  • Handy tools: Simple bitcoin calculator, Price Alerter (if 1 BTC is more/less than X), Value in Real Time -window

Information:
  • Price is fetched from Mt. Gox and Bitcoin Charts
  • History price is cached and updated every 30 minutes
  • Speed and straightforwarded use of this website have been one of the biggest goals

What is coming:
  • Graph for price
  • Value of real time bitcoin market capitalization
  • Total value of bitcoins in circulation
  • Value of daily change
  • History value going to be more adjustable (1 hour, 2 hour ... 13 days, 14 days...)
  • Different sections/sites: FAQ, Information...
  • More Ajax! Change of currency, change of history value are going to be updated in Ajax
  • Coding optimization is going to be done. Removal of inline JavaScript, more simple and better JavaScript code and so on
  • Bugs are going to be fixed

Feedback, comments, suggestions for improvements, everything is welcome!

Thank you,
ijjed

I prefer Bitcoinx's bitcoin mining profitability calculator. You can be specific with all your informations.

I would recommend you to change CPU miner for GPU miner.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Gui miner for Bitcoin and Litecoin on: March 29, 2013, 11:10:50 AM
What do Litecoins offer over Bitcoin?

First of all, Litecoin uses the Scrypt hashing algorithm instead of the SHA256 hashing algorithm. Scrypt is much more CPU-friendly, which means that you can mine it easily at home without any custom hardware.

Another notable difference between Litecoin and Bitcoin is that the Litecoin network has the capacity to produce four times as many Litcoin units compared to Bitcoin (84 million).

For 5850 card, around 300-340 MH/s is good.

If you get 5870, you are going to get something about 370-400 MH/s.

Also, I would not recommend you to crossfire two different cards. Buy another 5850 and put it crossfire with your existing (or buy two 5870).

Don't mine with CPU. Search for GPU miners.
