So who the fuck are these assholes are we going to let them get away with this like we are letting mt gox. These fuckers are stealing your bitcoins cause the investors lost their money on mt gox. How can it be any more obvious

ap7911 is the same as the 7941 just in a 2u design vs a 0u

We use APC AP7911 30amp 220V PDUs in our racks, they cost about $130 used on ebay. Most ATX supplies accept either 110V or 220V in so all you need is the C13 - C14 cables.

The PDU is rated at 24A (12 Amps per bank @ 220V) so you can pull about 5KVA from your 30 Amp L6-30p plug.

Our racks draw about 5Kw for 10Mh in hashing power:

I have the APC AP7941 got it for $120 off amazon. Another $40 for cables or so (C13 to C14) and your all set. If you buy one request that it is reset to factory defaults cause I spent alot of time trying to make the cable to reset it. But I have my motherboards on "on after power loss" and I can reset my systems from anywhere. Also it will switch them on one at a time so you don't surge and trip your breaker

The only bad thing is it comes up with warning at over 24amp's. I don't think it hurts it to run it over that though

I've been using a 10/2 cable from a dryer outlet like op's to a L6-30 for my pdu for almost a year. The thing to realize is that dryer outlet is 20+ years old so it is probably corroded, it may need to be replaced or cleaned if possible. You don't need a 4 wire setup for this just 2 conductors and a ground

Worst case they'll force you to put it back, which again takes no time or money.
Incorrect.

Likely case is they make you pay for their licensed electrician to come in and put it back at whatever rate the local union charges.  Even worse is the house burns down and the fire marshal sees your "mod" and declares it your fault causing the landlords insurance company to back out and point at you.  But, enough fear mongering Wink

What you have is a nema 10-30 plug.  Commonly known as an "old dryer plug".  There is no easy way of safely converting it to a nema 6-30 unless someone ran four wires to the box and only hooked up 3.  But looking at the vintage of that plug I would consider that unlikely.  That outlet has two lives and a neutral.  There is no ground.  Don't get me going on how someone could come up with a design that has a 110/220 volt appliance in a laundry room that is not grounded ... that's another story.

The "correct" thing would be to upgrade that plug to a "new dryer plug" which is a nema 14-30.  That will give you both lives for 220 along with neutral for 120 and ground.  You can safely piglead convert that to a nema 6-30.  Your landlord can not stop you from performing that upgrade by a licensed electrician in most states.  He may even split the cost.

Disclaimer: I am not a licensed electrician and this post does not constitute advice.  But please, verify what you have been told since much of what precedes my post is not only wrong, but dangerous.  A piglead conversion from a nema 10-30 to a 6-30 would be ungrounded.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Doge coin is bad on: February 13, 2014, 08:33:37 PM
Dogecoin is great for bitcoin.

People firstly need to realize Dogecoin is not any better in any technical way then any other coin. You may call that a shitcoin, and there are some shitcoins out there designed only to make a few rich. Dogecoin is not one of those and I will explain why...

First of all, realize that the best technology does not always win, in fact most of the time its the best marketed technology (ie VHS/Beta or Bluray/HDDVD). Also sometimes the first(and second) version of a technology is ahead of its time (ie Apple Newton/Palm Pilot, Sega Dreamcast (Online) or Web TV). Also some technologies stick around just because its good enough (fax machines. SMS text messaging, windows xp)

Though many of us believe that Bitcoin can become something your average joe can use in his everyday life, could replace paypal, even take a sizable chunk of transactions away from credit cards. But there are people who think bitcoin has nowhere to go but down from here. They are intimidated by it. It has a fairly large price. The media has mocked it and MOST people believe it fluctuates 50% or more every day. The second problem is Bitcoin is a hard sell. I've been into Bitcoin for over two years and I can't even sell it. I don't know how without telling people stuff they don't want to know, don't want to hear or simply don't understand. I can tell them about cryptology, I can tell them about the federal reserve and inflation but most people are not intelligent enough to understand. They think the fact that the middle class is getting smaller, the fact that many people with degrees and grown adults work $10-15 dollar an hour jobs is because of who we have as president or who we have in congress fucking things up, or just because the economy is bad. The United States has went from inflating real estate to inflating the stock market, so why create jobs when you can make money the easy way? While other countries are still inflating their real estate or just printing themselves out of bankruptcy

I like to think of Dogecoins as internet points you send to someone that happen to be worth something. Your grandma may use them to buy some hearts for candy crush some day. The fact that regular people can still mine it helps as well. Let's face it most of us got here by first mining not buying coins. Bitcoin also eventually won't have room in the blockchain for grandma's candy crush purchase. So we need another chain for smaller transactions, why not Dogecoin?
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the maximum amount of bitcoins you ever held? on: February 10, 2014, 03:02:01 AM
I had around 400 at one time as well... This was after IOcoins were taking off the exchange and I was close to half of the hashrate for a while. I mined 100's of thousands which I sold for several hundred bitcoin when they eventually came back from the dead.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Netflix to accept Bitcoins soon on: February 03, 2014, 04:10:19 AM
lol this is why I don't post much on these forums anymore... not even one person realizing this is a fake tweet... I'll stick to reddit, and I thought reddit was a circlejerk
9  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: No ROI on future Mining, its a FACT! on: January 13, 2014, 07:24:12 AM
-People will stop buying asic for any price soon. It probably won't be until after 1st gen devices can't pay for their own electric costs. Then people will stop and realize what they did. Buying gpu's for mining had little risk, which in fact ended up being practically no risk. People haven't realized that asic is not the same. Even the gpu's I bought at the peak in cost ($500 for a 5970 in late 2012 for example), I have had an opportunity to resell at almost the same cost at least once.
10  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CampBX Support MIA - Are they stealing customer funds? on: December 23, 2013, 05:14:22 AM
I stopped using them when they stopped doing ACH withdrawals every business day. Made two withdrawals 3 business days apart and got them on the same day. They refused to tell me the truth and still say they do ach withdrawals every day
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: feathercoin pool(100M+) on: December 17, 2013, 09:10:25 PM
The bitbars don't exist because the chain was forked along with a few of his other pools. Those coins weren't part of the majority network so its like they don't exist. He doesn't have them. I had about 50 or so myself so it is frustrating. This is why you use a trustworthy pool. The pool fork was not initially his fault but he refused to do anything about it or let anyone know there was a problem, so he caused many people to lose alot of money mining for coins that are worthless

My mined bitbars didnt transfered since about over a month. This is a fucking scammer. Dont mine on this pool!!!! He dont answer my emails. Please make his website down. He steal only coins from other people.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][ANC][i2p] Anoncoin pool - stratum - 1% fee - Anon setting on: December 11, 2013, 12:53:59 AM
This should be obvious but if your pool is forked/bankrupt whatever, shut down the pool. People are much more likely to notice gpu fan's shut down or their mining software showing no connection (most of us have backup pools as well) then to log into your pool and then notice they haven't been paid. Seriously how long does it take to ssh into your server and shutdown a process.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][ANC][i2p] Anoncoin pool - stratum - 1% fee - Anon setting on: December 10, 2013, 01:29:26 AM
WARNING POOL IS NOT PAYING ANY COIN FOR THE LAST COUPLE DAYS
14  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase withdrawal delays thread [Please add ACH delay reports to this thread] on: November 29, 2013, 11:13:12 AM
When I did my bank account verification, within 24 hours. Estimated date of today no money. All my ach go through within 1 business day if they were actually completed. Why allow withdrawals if you don't have the money which its obvious you don't. What another scam exchange
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [Pool] ---- Coinotron ---- 2FA, DDOS protection, LTC RBPPS=2% fee, only 15 conf. on: November 23, 2013, 08:03:23 AM
Any chance you might ever add more coins? BBQcoin Worldcoin Anoncoin or Digitalcoin maybe. I know its more work and I know you can't add all coins but your the only alt coin pool I trust and I'm tired of getting ripped off
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: feathercoin pool(100M+) on: November 23, 2013, 07:59:53 AM
I recommend coinotron for ftc and ltc. He's been around a couple years now and is a honest individual

Guys, i have 8.4FTC unconfirmed for hours now? And its not even unconfirming a single share, is this some scam?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: amd r9 280x mining speed on: November 23, 2013, 06:26:37 AM
I've been hearing alot about issues with the new r9's as far as heat go. If adding airflow and changing the fan profiles doesn't help you may be able to put an different bios on it. I don't have a r9 so I'm not sure but you may even be able to use a 7970 bios with less voltage. Moral of the story... stick to 7950/7970 for mining for now they are basically the same card anyways
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: feathercoin pool(100M+) on: November 23, 2013, 06:16:43 AM
Scammer

DO NOT MINE DOES NOT RESPOND TO EMAILS. MOST OF HIS POOLS ARE FORKED. COINS ARE WORTHLESS NO PAYOUTS
19  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Things at CampBX looking BAD: RED FLAGS on: November 17, 2013, 09:59:26 AM
They seem to only be processing ach once a week on monday. Even though they say otherwise, are they out of cash/liquidity as well
20  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: BTC Crashing: Money Pack Available $130 on: November 10, 2013, 09:58:41 PM
They can reverse moneypak's or just close out your account and take your money because you broke there terms of service. Everyone has been a newbie before but you are here putting down long term members and releasing wrong information. Trust me there are much harder communities on the web to become a member of then here, so just suck it up your first couple trades. Almost every other member here has. Then as you are more trusted you can get better deals

BTC & Money Pack and Reloadit are all UNREVERSABLE Transactions.  At least BTC, we can see where the coins went on the blockchain.
