Update from slack.

Ethbuy section of Iconomi would be merged in the same platform soon.

And we will also receive dividends out of the fees of the Eth -Euro exchange of Iconomi.
Currently there is promotional zero fees on these exchanges. Later on they would be 1 %.

So if the daily exchange volume is $1 million, then we get about $3,000,000 in dividends just from exchange yearly.
362  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How to make 1 bitcoin in a month or 2? on: January 17, 2017, 03:46:18 PM
Recently,in a term of 15 days I made my crypto 1.5 times by trading some crypto currency.

Actually these where my first trades on a real exchange (earlier I used Shapeshift). I did around 50 trades in this term.

So do a bit research and start trading.

SCAM ALERT!

Dear Chronobank ICO participants

Scammers created a copy of our website and advertised it on Reddit and Twitter. They made posts with links to the false website that contains malware!

Original website:  chronobank.io

Scam: chronobanks.io (with ‘s’ before ‘.io’) or any other addresses!

They also made some unsuccessful attempts to create fake accounts on our slack and pretend to be a one of the team members.
REMEMBER! The team will NEVER ask you to send any currency to them. You invest ONLY through your private dashboard here:

https://chronobank.io

Thanks for remind and attention
So we need be carefull now.

I have seen first project with so many people trying to scam by pretending to be team members.

By the way, it's an indication that this project is very famous.

It's time to update the Header of thread to '3000+BTC collected'

Why is the process of investing in pre ICO complicated. You'll need to manually distribute to each investor.

Instead, you could take investments in Ethereum. And send taskie token to the same Ethereum address..

Second thing I was wondering, you are distributing 3 million taskie in bounty and for newsletter which means equivalent to 1500 Bitcoins which is around $1,400,000 . It's just a wastage of funds. I doubt if taskie would receive investments of more than 1 million dollars. In that case Bounty would constitute a major portion of total tokens.

U say that each sign up pays 10 taskie and total rewards are 1.5 million taskie.
Do you think you would ever get 150,000 unique users accounts.

Can you tell the number of total projects that would be launching in January on wings platform?

And the total number of projects that have agreed to launch on wings?

No matter how many times you roll a dice, the chance is always 1:2 or 50% without house edge.  A sample question would be this.  If you toss a coin 9 times and the result is H, T, T, T, T, T, T, T,  what is the chance that the coin will land in H on the 9th toss? (H=head, T=tail) .  Please  realize that the result in gambling depends entirely on its internal system.

Okay, so let's consider an heads tail bet between you and your friend.

First thing, chances of you winning a bet is 50%
Second thing, you both have $1000 initially in your pockets.
Third, you and your friend bet $1 in each bet. Winner takes $2.
Fourth, you'll leave as soon as your pocket has $1001

So the match starts,
If you win first bet, your pocket has $1001 , you leave . Chances of winning fist my was 50%.

Now chances of losing first match was 50% . In case first match is a loss, you'll continue to play till your pocket has more than 1000 dollar.
370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Chances of Winning in Gambling Higher? on: December 27, 2016, 03:07:25 AM
What a gambling platform you used for take this calculation?
What you think gamble have a big % win chance? 75% win chance is so high result I think.
With your calculation W & L with % that's no guarantees if in the first bet you can win, means 50% chance win in the first bet is also big calculation.

I'm talking about a two player Roulette with zero house edge (hypothetical).

Yes, there's no gaurantee of winning fist game.
But see, for a fair game with zero house edge, chances of winning and losing are both 50 %.

If I win first game, I immediately withdraw all my balance. - chances of winning fist match is 50%

In case I lose first match (chances 50%) , I'll continue to play. An event LWW could occur which has chances 12.5% of happening.
371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Chances of Winning in Gambling Higher? on: December 27, 2016, 03:01:03 AM
Not exactly sure what you mean here. Care to add more details ? Like whats your base bet, whats your subsequent bet after your first loss ? First of all none of the gambling websites will give you 0 house edge, because that would mean your or them have an equal chance of winning. And even if they did, from what I have seen, it doesn't mean you will have an edge by changing your betting pattern.

I have considered that you can bet each time exactly 1 Bitcoin.

Consider a case , I lose first game (represented by L), so my balance becomes 999 Bitcoins. Chances of losing first match were 50 %. Now I again bet 1 Bitcoin and I win (Balance becomes 1000) . Now again I bet 1 Bitcoin , I win (balance becomes 1001) . Now I will withdraw all my balance .
So the above event is represented by LWW . Chances of happening of above event is 50% * 50% * 50% = 12.5%

Yes, there's no website with zero house edge. But I'm taking an assumption that house edge is zero. If we consider house edge too , the calculated chances would be around 65% .
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Is Chances of Winning in Gambling Higher? on: December 26, 2016, 05:51:01 PM
I just did some calculations. According to them, chances of winning in gambling comes out to be around 75%. Please correct me if I'm wrong somewhere

My assumptions-

I'm considering a case, with zero house edge.
It would be X2 if you win. And you get 0 of you lose.
Each game would charge 1 Bitcoin. Which means, 2 Bitcoin if I win, 0 if I lose.
I have 1000 Bitcoin ( many Bitcoins) in the balance of company X (Gambling Website)
Chances of winning and losing are equally likely - 50%
I would withdraw all my balance as soon as my balance becomes 1001 Bitcoins
I'm betting in two player Roulette. (I'm not talking about any sports bet)

So here it goes,

Here L  represents Lost game and W represents  win.  I'm writing the chances of event occurring in front of it. So, LWW means that I lose first game, and win second and third game giving me a net profit of 1 Bitcoin.

Cases which could lead to 1001 Bitcoins,

W -50%
LWW -12.5%
LWLWW -3.125%
LLWWW - 3.125%
LLLWWWW - 0.78125%
LLWLWWW- 0.78125%
LLWWLWW- 0.78125%
LWLWLWW- 0.78125%
LWLLWWW- 0.78125%

You can further continue this.

This sums up to be 72.65 %

Which means you have higher chances of winning in gambling if you follow these assumptions.

Edit 1: I have considered that you can bet each time exactly 1 Bitcoin.

Edit 2 : now I've understood it. Took some help from my friend and after reading your comments .
I was right that probability  that ending up with net profit of 1 Bitcoin (1001 balance) is about 75%.
But there are chances that I can lose up everything.
As someone pointed out here, it is due to binomial variance.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eGaaS: Electronic Government as a Service on: December 26, 2016, 04:24:51 PM
That is not a solid idea assuming if will drop,  maybe will it increase 10x because there are just below 1.5 milion coins,  not like in some cases where are 800 million coins. Would be wise the price to increase,  as the sole purpose of the exchange to be for creating a sweet spot for next ico. They got great looking team. This ico seems a bit as wings.ai, If am correct. "smart contracts and laws". Wings.ai has 1500btc + btc worth.  It's sad that they would need volume for a project like iconomi to give a helpful aid.
The goal is a bit ambitious.  It was good for grabbing attention,  but now seems much unrealistic.  The current attitude of no news is bothering. Should give an answer for each of the investor.  I have seen one yet. Look at chronobank,  their support is there permanently present, it's not a ghost.

We will probably grow white hair before they give the next update.  Look at their road map.

https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Fvm7ZxWi.png&t=572&c=biiyeCRIoLKDHg

Are you in your 50s?

I won't get any white hair anyway soon.

Their next update is scheduled in 2017 . Not much time, only done months for their next ICO. Before the next ICO starts they would be giving a report of what has been done.

Their goals are unrealistic. And you understood it now. I had already made a remark a month ago here on Bitcointalk that their goals seem unrealistic. They told there's no problem if USA doesn't implement it. USA would be in loss if they won't implement eGaaS.

So, I didn't invest in the ICO. Just a small Bounty. My plan was to buy eGaaS when they come on Exchanges. This has two advantages- first, I can be sure, eGaaS is legit. Second, IMO, price would fall below ICO price when it comes on exchange.

Generally, a price rise is initiated by some good news, some success of project.

I think, it would take about 2-3 months for beta test to end and implement eGaaS. Till then there won't be much volume and not much buyers. There would only be bounty hunters who would dump soon after the exchanges start.

So I think it's very safe for me to assume that price would fall.

By the way, not many seem to be interested in the project at this moment. Interest will rise when it is implemented some where. And so will the price rise.

can someone help me understand what Depth (ICN/XBT) is in kraken please? the red and gray graph and everything.

Depth is not specific for kraken. It's a common word in exchanges.

You can understand about it here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=147716.0

Hope that helps

Another question,

Smith and crown website says,
"  It’s worth noting that one of the founders is also using ChronoBank to solve a very real problem in his own industry–he’s a guaranteed first customer."

Is it true? And if it is true, then the scenario 2 on your website doesn't make sense.

It is. The scenario 2 was set to remind you that this is the investment in venture project, not guaranteed success. Besides that, the second scenario is highly unlikely to happen.

Good.

Coming onto my next question,

According to Smith and crown,
"Delivering a decentralized labor market platform seems unlikely with this round of funding: both Handy and Upwork needed close to $100 million in funding over several years."

Please comment on this.

What is the idea behind this allocation? Why would you incentive people to invest with weak Alts? what is your gain from raising ETC for example??

From one page back, wings.ai says
"The intention is that the foundation has a good allocation of various coins. So that it is not at the mercy of the volatile crypto markets"

Actually that makes sense.

Problem was that they didn't remind users about it. Yes, it was written in whitepaper. But not many read it.
Many People here wouldn't have come to know about it if someone here on Bitcoin talk hadnt 'pointed that out.
Many those who came to know about this didn't tell it to others to gain maximum profit.
