The biggest problem is that the competition didn't gain as much traction as expected. I guess there were trust issues, but we used a reputable escrow service so that should have eliminated any doubt of our legitimacy.

We are busy making plans to get more traffic onto the community. And If we have enough interest, we will open a new competition for sports cappers. I will keep you guys informed on this thread when we decide.

We will discuss this option, We might use other methods to get traffic in the future.

bad performance from bayern, i lose the bet too Sad
hard to guess the result in UCL, especially in round of 16
Real Madrid is on fire, but schalke not bad too in their home
i'll go with under 3.5, hope schalke defense works well tonight

my bet for tonight is parlay between, Madrid 2 goals or more and porto and basel combined over 2.5 goals, perhaps bayern is under pressured due to the cold climate there

What site are you using to bet over 2.5 goals for that game?

I'll have a look when I get to my pc. I do like having all crypto stuff in one place here at the moment though.

Im sure you will like the site. It has many useful features, and caters very well to sports cappers.  Smiley

Hey Cryptobettor, I am actually going to be selling my picks soon.
How do I post the picks on cryptobettor while having a paid subscription, and also be part of the contest ?

Thanks

It is very simple. The CryptoBettor Platform has a powerful tool called Trade Alerts. Think of it as your own personal thread that you can share with whoever you want, for the amount of time that you want. So if a person wants to sell their premium picks, the process is very simple:

  • Open a new thread that you will put your premium picks into. Under the categories dropdown, select Trade Alerts (Highlighted in red)
  • Make sure you are following the person that you would like to share your premium picks with.
  • Once your thread has been posted into the Trade alerts category, go into the social tab.
  • Select the tab named "following".
  • Find the person you want to share your thread with, then select the Trade alerts button, select the subscription start date and time and end date and time.
  • Press confirm, and VOILA! You now have a new subscriber to your Premium picks thread.

If you want to be part of the contest, all you need is to be nominated as a finalist (You can nominate yourself), and then collect votes from other CryptoBettor members. If you have a good following, then you could ask them to vote for you when the voting round arrives after the 16th of March.

Please note that members will need to be previously active in order for their votes to be valid. Rigorous checks will be done to ensure voting is fair.

I hope this answers your question, and if you have any more, or if you are still unsure, please feel free to ask!  Grin

Thanks for the reply. I did start the thread on the Trade alerts and have a thread for free picks for a week.
Maybe after a week, I will be using the site for the paid subscription, as I really doubt I will have enough people subscribed to the paid one, and will have all of them vote me.

Maybe you should give your followers a little extra free picks in exchange for a vote for you? There are ways and means of earning votes and followers. Either way, I wish you the best of luck in the competition. Thank you for joining  Smiley

Bumping this!
12  Economy / Gambling / Re: Calling all Sports Bettors / Handicappers on: February 16, 2015, 07:20:36 PM
So what would make one wins?

The amount of traffic they give to site, the best picks, something else?

What is going to happen, is that people will get a chance to nominate finalists. And once all the finalists are in, people are allowed to vote on who they think will win. We have steps in place to ensure the voting is not rigged. So obviously a vote from an account with 0 or 1 activity will not be counted.

Once the voting is done, there is a first place, second place and 3rd place prize. As a handicapper, if you bring followers to the site, then obviously they will vote for you, which means you will have a greater chance of winning. If you are a consistant handicapper, you will also get followers from the site, who will also vote for you.

***EDIT: Just to add, the prize money is already sitting in escrow with devthedev. The details are in our previous thread regarding the competition.

I was actually starting a thread for sports betting, and would rather like being paid than have a chance of winning that prize.
Might be a good idea to give the people already have threads on here a chance to get that . I doubt a lot of tippers would prefer moving over for a chance to get paid.

They can use our forum to sell premium picks. We have a unique Trade alerts section where a handicapper can post his premium picks, and then they can select who can see the thread and for how long they can see it. This will allow them to control the thread so that only subscribers can see it. This is a simple and effective way to sell your sports picks. The prize is just an added incentive to help get more traffic to the site.
