I certainly agree with you on certain points especially bank bail-outs when it is their own fault, but you should acknowledge the work banks do for us like distribute and hold capital for the people that need it.
E.g. 200-300 years ago you could only get a loan if you are already rich or know rich people.
Today it is much easier through the banking system.

This is the problem, only a few MPs in the Conservative party and UKIP genuinely wanted to leave and I expect that these remain loyalists are going to have to be dragged kicking and screaming because otherwise they'll postpone it as long as they can, it will be like watching American politicians deal with the debt ceiling, constantly saying it's the end of it and then raising the bar every couple of years. The same thing will happen with Brexit this time and they won't leave unless they're forced to get the country out. That whole country survived on banking, being Europe's financial center.
