1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PETITION AMAZON: 4,979 have signed, only 21 more to make 5000! on: November 14, 2014, 12:51:40 AM
I know what would definitely get their attention. Set up an affiliate store and use all amazon's ad copy for the products, the pictures, and links back..but then add a bitcoin option manually and tell them they can get it cheaper if they use bitcoin instead. Eventually enough people will be redirecting purchases to bitcoin and amazon will plug in...
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin falling November 13Th on: November 14, 2014, 12:36:36 AM
Speaking of absurdities, is there a way to check the rates for specific dates?

If so, would someone be a sport and share a screen cap of 12/21/12 so we can see what happened with bitcoin when the world ended.  Grin

Or even compare to various time based speculations of things happening and see what bitcoin rates were doing.

Only reason I suggest it is because it seems to me that every time there's bad news, bitcoin price jumps UP and any time there's good news, it takes a nosedive. Curious whether the world ending would be good or bad for bitcoin buyers!  Grin
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's real name revealed on: November 11, 2014, 03:12:12 AM
Out of all the theories, the one that I liked best that'd be pretty clever is that the name is made up of these Asian corps =

Samsung, Toshiba, Nakamichi and Motorola Cheesy I mean how would that not be true, that's one hell of a coincidence.
4  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OpenBazaar Beta 3.0 is released with Windows version. Finally! on: November 11, 2014, 03:00:13 AM
I'm not knocking this at all, I think it's awesome and want to look into it but off the cuff it raised the issue of silk road - how is it similar/different to that? Is it something that will thwart the cops from going after outlets like silk road since it's p2p or are there failsafes involved to prevent it?

On a lighter note, can we use this individually to set up our own stores to do bitcoin business full time?
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Whatever Happened To The C Coins? on: November 11, 2014, 12:50:03 AM
Apologies, I've forgotten the correct name so I can't google it anyway Cheesy

Back in March and also featured in the recently released doc, The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin, there was that one guy who made the physical coins with the "holograph" stickers. In March, I read a thread on here somewhere that he was selling them to people.

What's the story with them?
Whatever became of them?
Are they still available and if so, where would we pick some up?
If not, why not?

Also, what were they called/how spelled?

Those were so cool. I'd love to have some.

Thanks!

6  Other / Meta / Re: Account Mergers? on: November 11, 2014, 12:26:36 AM
I don't want to recover it, just merge the posts/rank with this one. I am not even sure if that's doable or not so was checking first. If it is, then I'll definitely go through all that to get the mods what's needed.

Thanks
7  Other / Meta / Account Mergers? on: November 11, 2014, 12:09:12 AM
Hey Mods...

I had an account here, SerenityS, but lost the access to all the credentials I used, email accts, etc. and had to start over. I just made a new account here since I have no way to access any account saving attempts. I just thought I'd ask if it's at all possible on the back end - yours, that is - to merge the old account with this one so I can keep my post counts and rank or convert all that to this account?

If not, no harm...I'll just start allllll over at 2.  Sad
