141  Bitcoin / Hardware / I am at a loss on: December 06, 2014, 06:00:32 AM
Hi,
I have not had any luck getting my new C1 running.  I have worked with liquid cooling before that is all well and good.
First I am running a 1200W Termaltake   PS with 8 PCI plugs, so I have power.

The instructions for the cooling says to plug it in inside the box, I open the box and well there are no pci plugs in there.
So on here somewhere I read to use a plug on the C1 and only 4 power cables,  So I put only 4 plugs and try to start the miner.  I plug the cooling system into one of the available ports on the C1

I have a s3 so I know that the red light comes on when it is booting then the green light when it is hashing.\

The red light does not come on, the green light does not come on,

The green and yellow lights on the Ethernet cable are flashing that is all.

I am unable to contact it via the interface/  Since its not running that is not surprising.

Sometimes there is a blue light coming through the reset whole. sometimes just a red light from inside the case.

My watt meter says I am drawing a whole 109 watts at the wall.  The fan and the pump are running but the fan inside the C1 is not running

Suggestions

I just had another power supply melt,  It is not worth it to keep trying to get these things running.  I don't want to burn the house down.  Bitmain needs to say something official about this.

Again thanks for working on this CKolivas.

In addition, I have a test windows binary:
http[Suspicious link removed]

In windows trying to run this file returns an error message that
Libbcurl-4.dll is missing

I am on windows 8.1 and having the same problem, missing libbcurl missing, it is in the same file folder

144  Other / Beginners & Help / Does anyone use Umisoo Hosting Center for Bitmain Miners on: November 22, 2014, 02:43:30 AM
HI,
I am kind of new, just wondering with the shipping and such being so much does anyone use UMISSO hosting to run their miners.

I get confused about the cost of it one place says 1.18 per day another talks about KW hours of usage.

I pay .10 KWH if all they are charging is 1.18 a day it might be worth a try.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum

Hello,
I have been kind of busy and dropped off here. I got a S3+ it set up like a dream, why cant they do that with this?

I burned up one power supply running as they suggested. Now I have dialed things back to -bmsc-freq 0782 --bmsc-voltage 0750.  They will run for about 5 hours and then just quit.  Not Zombie, Just not hashing.

I have one powered off a Molex and one with the original power supply, I put a small fan blowing on the Bitmain power supply,

Each runs at about 34 gh, which is a long ways from the Supposed 63.

I know Bitmain monitors this forum, would someone let us know what is going on?Huh

Is it possible to power the U3s from a Molex with the correct adapter?  I melted, a power supply last night running at bmsc-voltage 0780 --bmsc-freq 1306, which was as high as I could get w/o too many h/w errors

Is Bitman going to replace our burned out power supplies,

Guess that is kind of two questions

Dogie,
Is that one coupon per S4 or one coupon per total order?

This Post is really for Bitman.

If the goal of this U3 miner is to help decentralize mining, you have missed a large target.  I am a 67 year old retired female. I purchased two U3's on line (eBay I could not afford your minimum order)  because I thought it would be fun to play with and addition to the trading that I do.  (small amounts I am retired).

That said I know other people my age would be interesting in something like this if it was much more Plug and Play.  It is kind of fun watching it work.

It is hard to set up and I have found through the help of this Forum and not Bitmain how to get the U3s to run at about 45Gh each.

Now at the same time I ordered  s3+ from an eBay seller that was selling them new. Again shipping for only one miner is too much. It is not here yet so I can not comment on that.

That being said I feel cheated by the performance of the U3, I did not get what I paid for and I can not return them.

I noticed that you are offering coupons, but since I did not buy from you directly I do not get any.

I would be happy if you would give me a 400.00 coupon for a S4 and I would order it.  Or of course you could send me a free U3 to make up for the GH  I am not getting.

Speedster 1978  I can not get into several pools either,  The setting only work on one pool for me. I have tried Slush's pool several times  No joy

Xumpy I am using your setting and my GPH went up,  I was getting about 30Gh each on two U3s, Now I am getting 45 Gh on each, still not the advertised 63 each.

Thanks for the support I get on this forum.

Thanks everyone for  your help. I have both of the U3s running, I am getting  a 70.4g average for both on the 1 min, total average 60.1 in half an hour/

One of the U3s went zombie and I unplugged it and it re-started.

If I reboot the computer I have to reinstall the driver for the second U3 with Zadig.

I power on both U3s, Plug in only one usb , if both are plugged in It crashes the miner.  After the first one starts I plug in the second one and it starts running.

They do not output much heat, I was hoping for a little heat for my apartment.

I am done playing for today, Learned a lot for a 67 year old woman Smiley

I have tired a lot of different setting.  Thanks for all of the advice, but why hasn't Bitman done something, I paid for 63 GH and I am getting at best an average of 7.5.

Since I have two miners, I have tried them both with the same results,

thanks
With the Pause added I could see what is going on. I tried to connect to Slushes and I mine it but could not connect at all I finally connected with I space in England but I am only getting around 10 gb of hash on only one miner, I have not tried two together.   I am using the cmd

cgminer.exe --bmsc-options 115200:10 -o stratum+tcp://ispace.co.uk:3333 -u Mylogin.miner -p x  --bmsc-freq 0782 --bmsc-voltage 0720

Hello,
I am getting very frustrated, I purchased two Antminer U3's just for fun. I trade a few coins here and there and thought it would be fun to mine a few. Bitman has the best reputation, and I was very interested in the U3.

I received them today, and cannot get them to work at all.

I installed the cp2102 USB to UART controller, and the system devices recognizes when I plug in the U3.

When I plugged in the U3 the fan comes on.

When I plug in the USB cables red light comes on inside the unit ( it stays on even if unplugged from the wall.
I downloaded the cgminer from the Bitman site.

I used the code cgminer.exe --bmsc-options 115200:20 -o 50.31.149.57:3333 -u ktzhan_3 -p 123 --bmsc-freq 0781       with my pools and my username.

I put it in a .bat file and when I ran it

The system box opens something runs and then closes. to fast to see what is going on.

So I tried the command line, It opens, then says No devices detected, Waiting for USB hot plug, need to specify at least one pool input server details

The same thing happens when I just run the exe, when I put in the server, user name, and password it just locks up.

I have tried it on two different computers with Windows 8.1, I even tried it on windows 10, tech release.     No Joy it acts the same on all of them.

I changed around the miners, and the power packs.

I know my way around a computer, I do not code, I do not know how to compile, I just load programs and expect them to work,

I have set all of my firewalls to allow access to the internet.

Can anyone offer suggestions?

Looks like my grandkids can use them as pretend space ships.
Barbara
