141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have $10 in Bitcoin. What coin should I invest in? on: August 22, 2015, 03:38:48 AM
I'd say go with tacos. 10$ worth of tacos.

Or xmr. Then again, I really don't follow the other coins, so I'm obviously biased.

Keep it all in BTC or invest in a large meal of tacos.  You'll be happy either way.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | NEW wallet, 50% POS Active on: August 21, 2015, 06:27:25 PM
Huge jumps in the market volume-wise.  I really think this node expansion idea is a necessity.

I decided to limit my personal computer to just 50 connections for the time being, but I will most likely be turning this down due to bandwidth interfering with my normal day-to-day network activities.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | NEW wallet, 50% POS Active on: August 21, 2015, 06:18:51 PM
With the network and interest expanding I believe we have a need to expand the permanent nodes.  Currently they are too few in number.

We pay transaction fees currently to support them, I believe we should expand this process.  Long time, trusted members of the community could be reviewed and their "permanent node rights approved."

More nodes = more security.  Especially as we go through volatile times with the Bitcoin markets at the moment.

I know I for one would open a permanent node, currently I host 47 active connections at any given time.  With a small DMD incentive I could easily expand this to 2-3 servers supporting up to 1250+ clients each.  I would be almost entirely paying out of pocket, but small DMD fees could help offset this.  While at the same time achieving our main goal of propagating Diamond and securely it properly.

I already run a server farm, with an incentive I'm sure I'm not the only one who would be willing to put in the work and expense to expand our permanent nodes.

145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the perfect hedge for our bitcoins? on: August 21, 2015, 10:05:52 AM
Fiat is the safest hedge if you're scared of Bitcoin.

Use it to buy some land.  Problem solved.
146  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] R-Box 32-36 GH/s in Original Packaging - [24 IN-STOCK] Updated Pricing on: August 21, 2015, 09:27:26 AM
Pricing updated for August 29th, 2015.  Price cuts across the board.

I will only ship domestically in the lower 48 states.  Sorry international is too expensive for these items.  PM me regarding shipping to Canada/Hawaii/Alaska.

Up for sale I have multiple R-Box 32-36 GH/s SHA-256 Bitcoin miners.  Each miner includes a USB cable and its original packaging to ensure it stays safe during shipment.  All sales will go through an agreed upon escrow by both buyer and seller.

Some units are stock, some have upgraded fans, some have normal wear and tear such as minor scuffs or fan vibrations.  I can cherry pick which miners you get but that's going to cost you a hefty extra 0.01 BTC.  Horribly unaffordable, so pay the extra token fee or I'll simply send you a miner that may not be a fancy one but it'll hash with the best of them.

Prices are negotiable, please PM me.

  • 1x R-Box 32-36 GH/s miner with USB cable and original packaging
    Price:     0.075 BTC plus shipping

  • 2x R-Box 32-36 GH/s miner with USB cable and original packaging
    Price:     0.135 BTC plus shipping

  • 4x R-Box 32-36 GH/s miner with USB cable and original packaging
    Price:     0.315 BTC plus shipping

  • 8x R-Box 32-36 GH/s miner with USB cable and original packaging
    Price:     0.610 BTC plus shipping
    g

  • 16x R-Box 32-36 GH/s miner with USB cable and original packaging
    Price:     1.000 BTC plus shipping
    g

  • 20x R-Box 32-36 GH/s miner with USB cable and original packaging
    Price:     1.200 BTC plus shipping
    g

  • 24x R-Box 32-36 GH/s miner with USB cable and original packaging
    Price:     1.375 BTC plus shipping
    g

Discounted prices are only applied to multiples of 2 in order to properly package them and save on shipping costs.

Large orders including 8 or more are very negotiable.  I may even cover shipping costs to help smooth out a transaction.  Payments can be made in either BTC or DMD using an agreed upon escrow agent.

Happy Hashing!

147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PI metal detector private shares with 50% profits] by alcurEX CEO on: August 19, 2015, 09:35:46 AM
I have got to keep this revolutionary idea on the first page.  This is basically what Satoshi had in mind when he created Bitcoin.

1) Metal detectors or gold or something relating to neither or both.
2) Huh
3) Profit.

Quite frankly I don't see how this could ever fail.

148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin XT, do you have enough storage for? on: August 19, 2015, 09:24:36 AM
I'm not a Bitcoin XT supporter, or nay-sayer, I say let the community decide by usage.

With that said, any blockchain could be 4TB large and it wouldn't have any detrimental causality on an average miner who is willing to shell out thousands of dollars for mining gear.  I mean seriously, HDD space is stupid cheap and it's only going down in price.

Thanks for those that think of us Windows & UNIX users alike.

Heaven help us, Mike Hearn is a "DICK-tator"

Thank goodness for altcoins.

Bitcoin XT is an altcoin, sweetie.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: August 16, 2015, 04:39:09 PM
I found on Reddit some people that same as me dont have password,

As far i know they just gave me Adress where I need send my BTC,
and then I recived on my email only JSON file,

and I was waiting till today with this file,
Im so pissed off,

If there is any solution then I will reward the one who can help,
if there is no solution then I lost a big amount of BTC

150 ETH IS a big amount of BTC?  One day at work easily makes up for that potential loss.
153  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [SIDEHACK STICK] Official sales thread for everywhere not already covered on: August 16, 2015, 08:06:22 AM
Anyone thinkin' about buying a stick, either from me or one of the resellers, should do so within the next two days. I'll be tallying up available dollars on Monday and buying parts for the first batch. Right now I have about 260 sticks paid for, which covers all the PCBs, heatsinks, and ASICs for the whole 1000 run (which PCBs and heatsinks will be in hand in the next few days), and components for at least that 260 sticks. I can't afford the remaining parts for all 1000, and I can't guarantee I'll have very many in-stock units to sell out of this first batch, but the more that are sold now will help buy parts for the next batch that much quicker. So if you want one but you're waiting until I have some in stock, you might end up waiting a fair bit longer than if you toss in now. All funds that come in by Monday will go to buying components to stretch this batch as far as I can.

How much are you looking to charge for say, 20-50 of these units?

You can track his profile on Amazon, he isn't selling them at those prices.  In fact someone should buy one from him, file an A-Z Claim and return it so he gets suspended.  Ethical?  God, no.  Does he deserve it?  Hell yes.

I offered him a price in bitcoin through a PM and his response was, "I am not trading for things only money."

Sounds incredibly legit from a newbie member...

158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Full Node Survey (Please Help - Takes a Second) on: August 11, 2015, 01:38:48 AM
I'm all about that full node.  Makes me feel like a better person.

Well and I have an excuse to use my 16 TB RAID (0+1), yes on 16 drives.  God knows why I built that thing, but it sure comes in handy and cheap when buying off of Craigslist.
159  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Bitcoin and Scrypt Mining gear for BTC, DMD, or USD on: August 11, 2015, 01:13:33 AM

Without Cryptsy, sadly I will rarely trade this coin other than dumping what I mine.

Great ideas though.  iOS wallet, Mac OSX wallet with seeding nodes, and Cryptsy and I'll be here all day, everyday.
