1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 15, 2022, 11:51:46 PM
I thought that the best format for Nepal in cricket is the T-20 format.  they also did show some light of them playing T-20 very well. Now I don't know what happened to Nepal because they are not in the spotlight anymore and some of the players who play well and I still remember the leg spinner who played for IPL are not in the news at all right now.
For all the associate countries playing Cricket, T 20 is the best format they can scout their talents and give exposure to the younger generation and that is how they grow the game. Nepal is currently playing ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 and they had Dav Whatmore as their coach till last year and after that their performance are not that great.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lesson learnt from the crypto asset failure on: May 15, 2022, 11:25:22 PM
Unfortunately we have seen one of the biggest scam/failure of the project LUNA /UST where people have lost million/billions of dollars invested in them. We can't foresee such incidents but one thing is that if we follow the best practices of portfolio management, we could have minimize the loss.

No crypto assets in our portfolio should be that big, that in case of a mishap, our whole portfolio get a big hit. Also this means not to put all eggs in one basket in our crypto portfolio.
You can put all eggs in one basket when it comes to Bitcoin, there is no fake promises and funny whitepapers to convince investors who have no idea what they are investing and that is what happened with LUNA/UST. The owner created many failed stable currencies in the past and yet he kept on creating new ones and this one had many investors that got burned and hence the headline. So think before you invest in any alt/shit project.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you agree ETH have become seen as less risk asset over BTC? on: May 15, 2022, 11:10:38 PM
it has been noticed that BTC is highly volatile compared to the others but the potential gains are high that is why even if it corresponds with high risk the majority will still be choosing this over ETH. And as the next halving comes again, we might expect another ATH to both ETH and BTC. I can really feel that people are anticipating this (halving), it is something that had been in their mind of what happened the last halving will be the same for the next.
There is a big hurdle for ETH to cross, they are taking a risky route of migrating their consensus protocol and the expectation of scaling. These things should be successful and if there is any mishap while migrating then you would not see ETH rallies when the next bull happens after the halving.
The sole reason the price of ETH rallied is because of the migration and only time will tell what will happen to all the hype it created.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 15, 2022, 10:47:08 PM
Today I am very disappointed in the performance of Lucknow. Although I know that winning the second innings by batting is a bit difficult now. But Lucknow's first 3 batsmen were a complete failure today. Quinton de Kock can't play well. Fans always have high expectations for an experienced and T20 specialist player like him. If de Kock and Rahul had been able to build a good partnership today, Lucknow would have been able to win this match too.
Trent Boult is the reason Lucknow Super Giants was not able to get a good start. He is such a good new ball bowler and could trouble any batsman and today he was in rhythm and he troubled everyone and picked wickets as well and gave Rajasthan Royals the confidence that if their batsman can score a decent run to defend, they have the bowlers to handle the rest.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bears continue to dominate on: May 15, 2022, 10:18:15 PM
Yes, I think there is no such thing as strong support because no matter how they claim that this price has the strongest support for btc, the price will still find a way to drop below their expectations. Maybe the price can stay at a certain position for a short period of time. Is that what they mean strong support? But, when the price drop again and stay there for a while, people will call that a new strong support.
The support will only hold for so long unless there is positive news in the market but if the market sentiment is not great then you will see the support getting broken pretty fast.

Unlike in the past, now the cryptocurrency market is reacting to global financial market which is not a good thing personally but we have turned the cryptocurrency market into such level with the institutional investors and now the support depends upon other global factors as well.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is everyone that got in late last year in the red now ? How bad is it ? on: May 15, 2022, 10:08:35 PM
Always good to see that United Arab Emirates is taking all the right steps in making the country a cryptocurrency safe heaven and they even conducted many events regarding the cryptocurrency space and as far i know many of the projects shifted to United Arab Emirates in the past couple of years and now their airline started accepting Bitcoin is a really good move.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 15, 2022, 09:53:34 PM
I have sad news to share that we have lost another Australian legend. Andrew Symonds died yesterday in a car accident. I do remember the matches where Shane Warne and Andrew Symonds together won many matches for the Australians.

Really shocking to hear the news and i was not expecting to hear this, a really bad year for Australian Cricket players as this is the third prominent player this year. When i heard about the news about the accident i was going through his old highlights which pops up and he was such an incredible fielder and could change matches with his batting and take the match away from the opponent single handedly.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Smart decision I made toward the end of the bull run on: May 15, 2022, 09:35:43 PM
I converted all all my altcoins to btc and eth and solona and stop listen to youtubers.
The youtubers can ruin your life. make your own decision and you will be fine.
This is relevant for me.
I am not sure when you made your decision on converting all your alts to Bitcoin, ETH and Solona, if you did that before the major crash then it was a good decision. What everyone does is to hold the money in stable currency until you see any major correction and then take a position on investing again rather than converting before any major correction.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Looks like markets are crashing ! this is it's the big one ! on: May 14, 2022, 11:59:50 PM
Looks like we will soon leave the negative trend and head for the bull market, a few hours ago the bitcoin price was around $27k, and now it's more than $30k, I'm sure tomorrow or the day after the bitcoin price will reach $35k soon, and what we worry about hopefully not happen Again, the trend for 2018
In a perfect scenario what you said might be correct. Investors will find the price charming and they will start pumping the market, but things are a bit different now, the increase in interest rate by the Fed had an affect and then the LUNA blunder where their stable currency went down like a stack of cards. Knowing and seeing the market for the past several years and haven seen multiple rallies and crashes, it will take a long time to recover in my opinion.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 14, 2022, 11:45:44 PM
All explained very good and surely these are not favourable for ICC main countries so just because of this they are not interested to have this game cricket into Olympics as we already read they never give any application to IOC for this and just giving wrong explanations for some time which is going to end now with this all.
First and foremost there will be a limit on the number of International players that can participate in a team when you are in the Olympics, you can watch Football, you wont see teams fielding their best team, there will be experienced players but majority of the team members will be young especially under 23 and that will be the case with Cricket as well if it is included in the Olympics.

Surely all Performance enhancement drugs are banned as we already watch few players in different cricketing countries faced some bans just because of these drugs even they used for other problems but still have same effects. Big Three in ICC is surely not happy with this main issue which is involving IOC for all revenues because here they can do many tricks but IOC will never allow this so most chances we are not going to be member of this IOC.
If there is anything put the blame on the big three, that is a convenient way Cheesy. First and foremost it is not always about the revenue and as i mentioned above, the full strength team will not play and there will be a restriction on that aspect to be fair.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 14, 2022, 11:03:33 PM
The chance is very low for Kolkata to qualify for the playoff round. Gujarat has already qualified for the next round. Lucknow and Rajasthan have high chance to qualify for playoffs. It is hard to tell that who will be the other team to qualify for the playoff round. I think the 4th team will depend on Bangalore, Delhi and Punjab matches.
I think Lucknow Super Giants is safe and they have a much better net run rate. Rajasthan Royals has a good net run rate as well and even Delhi Capitals has a chance considering they have a good net rate but Royal Challengers Bangalore should win the rest of the matches considering their net run rate is not that great.

What is crazy is that the two new teams has the potential to win the tournament.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 8 Suicides Have Been Confirmed Because of the $Luna Crash. Why did Luna crash? on: May 14, 2022, 10:46:12 PM
As the crypto market grow, these type of incidence really effect the market. I think strong project are on the stack now as trust on the ecosystem of strong projects like DOT, ETH and BNB are on the verge of crumbling. But it's a matter of life of death when it comes to all in your life savings. Share your thoughts how you would improvise your portfolio?
I am not sure whether your headline is a fact or just used to attract users into your topic. It is really unfortunate that people does not read the white paper before jumping into the space and once that false narrative is gone the market went down crashing. Whom to be blamed here, i would blame the investors for going after salesman that offers a good profit rather than taking the time to read the technology they are offering.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time to put money in ETH? on: May 14, 2022, 10:15:10 PM
Is it a good time to put some money into eth, or is it falling more?
I would literally wait for the market to stabilize and then make a decision on whether to invest in it or not. I am not too confident in investing in it right now as i think it is overvalued considering the plan is not yet functional yet and there is no timeline when the scaling issues will the sorted. If we have a time period on that aspect then the market could move forward considering the overall market sentiment.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a safe haven??? on: May 14, 2022, 09:25:52 PM
In my opinion I think bitcoin might be called a safe haven if you are only in for the long term, imagine having bitcoin as a safe haven back in ten years ago, regardless of the volatility and inflation rate surrounding the world, bitcoin has been to the rescue. Shun the volatility and go in for long term
It is much easier to say that people would invest heavily in Bitcoin ten years ago, anyone who invested knows the risks involved and have taken a chance and they were rewarded, no one knew in the beginning that it will be widely accepted and countries will be using it as a legal tender and a decade later things have changed drastically. Right now i would not consider it as a safe heaven but still if you are smart enough you can make a good profit.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! on: May 14, 2022, 08:07:36 PM
Bitcoin falled from $69000 to $30700 and El Salvador bought another amount of bitcoin, isn't that good enough, that is wise enough and a good investment strategy. Or you want El Salvador to sell at $30000? If bitcoin still fall, do not be surprised if El Salvador buy more bitcoin.
You are talking about a country who is struggling economically and has a huge public debt and then to invest money in a highly volatile market which lost 50 to 60% in valuations will benefit the country. If you are talking about a stable economy then the long term vision is a strong point but not for a country like El Salvador who is having a huge debt deficit.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish market continues? on: May 13, 2022, 11:59:21 PM
It just sad though to hear those horror stories about investors getting depressed and contemplating about suicide. I still remember the story of one boy who trade on Robinhood and then committed suicide later on when there is a glitch in the system resulting of money being lost on his end. So I do hope that we won't hear the same stories because of what happened to LUNA and it's stable coins holder. So all should learn from ours and others mistakes and move forward in our life.
The depressed stories are many and i know there are many who entered the cryptocurrency market recently and made a ton of profit and they stick through thinking they will earn more and the sad thing is when the market starts its correction they will usually loose more than what they expected and the Luna situation was really sad because none of the users were smart enough to understand their blunder before it happened. I never invested in Luna nor i will invest in anything similar even if they have a good advertisement team.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breaks Bullish Trend Line? on: May 13, 2022, 11:17:25 PM
Exactly! $20,000 now is the major support for me, especially this time, that's why I am not really expecting that Bitcoin could fall below that because for sure, there are already lot of buy orders lining up around that level and for sure this dump is just a temporary especially it's not only the Bitcoin market affected, it's global and other markets too.
I am not too sure what to take of this situation. If the institutional institution started selling the market would have gone down much further but the buy order started coming in when it touched around $27k. Even i do think that in the worst of situations we might even go below $20k but the alt market had a much bigger correction in the past few days.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 13, 2022, 10:36:48 PM
I am quite sure that all these reasons are the main cause why cricket is not going to be in the Olympics. The big 3 surely do not want to lose their control over the ICC and if cricket is inserted into the Olympics that will surely be a problem for them. they are a lot used to the special treatment by the ICC and if they are treated equally as all the other teams it will hurt their ego. So, even if ICC wants to add cricket to the Olympics I don't think the big 3 will let them.
I am not sure about all these theories, you think NBA does not have that much control because they are listed in the Olympics or that FIFA does not have that control over their sport because they are an Olympic sport. What control will be gone when they are listed for the Olympics and i am yet to understand these logics. Even if they are included the countries will not sent their full team and most probably a younger team.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: May 13, 2022, 10:24:43 PM
Things are not good enough for home team as they are going to face spirited Sri Lanka in first test match at Chattogram Shakib which was dropped for Covid-19 positive now have negative and going with team but still need some more medical tests for participating into first test even coach Russell Domingo is not positive about Shakib for first test match. With this Now Mehdi Miraz and Taskin both are also out of first test due to finger and shoulder injuries, so with this all look like Bangladesh is having not good chances against visitors for winning this series.

My prediction about this series is Sri Lanka won or draw because at home they have some advantage and can give tough time to Lankan's but still they are good to win in this series.
So that means Bangladesh is having injury concerns in the upcoming tour. When is the first match and i have to see the team for Sri Lanka before making a decision because some other time i placed a bet after seeing the comments here and messed up badly  Cheesy. Bangladesh is always a strong side at home and they always pack their team with spinners but Sri Lanka does play spin well but yet to see the team.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Donít rush to buy Bitcoin on: May 13, 2022, 09:38:27 PM
I know many either bought at $30K or $28K because it seems like a great price. Or even earlier at $25.5K.
What you said is true, the market always gives you the opportunity to get at a really great price but in this instance and in a situation when the entire market goes down drastically how deep the market can go. The alt coins market was shattered and yet the Bitcoin market did not went past $27k which was surprising as i expected a much bigger correction in the Bitcoin market as well Cheesy.
