[/quote] Actually the 2fa works, but you have to be fast enough that soon as the code changes, you need to put it in right away. So im guessing its because of time syncing. Most if not all of my accounts on different sites uses 2fa, and i know that my Google authenticator is "on-sync". Also i have tried to login on the old setup of moneypot(mp.bustabit.com) and it works flawlessly. So im 99% sure that this has something to do on their server. |

This post is more of a inquiry rather than a complaint...
Since the transition of ownership, there where several changes that affected some of the apps. Others may not notice it, but as a dev, this is very noticable..
One very noticeable, is your socketpot. The websocket that handles your chat.. Not every owner might notice it, but your socketpot has been failing to upgrade to a websocket, and it falls down to a polling protocol. Tho this is not a big concern, this beats the whole purpose of a websocket.. All this happened after you guys ran the socketpot api via cloudflare.. Cloudflare doesnt fully support websockets unless you pay a hefty amount.. So basically for now, cloudflare kills websockets. i have reported this issue,but still no action taken..
Why is this a concern? By definition, Polling is a server connection, just like a normal client-server request, and keeps that connection for short time period, during that time, the server/client can receive data. The client needs to reconnect periodically due to timeouts. Request using this are treated by the server like a normal http request or ajax. A Websocket on the other hand creates a tcp connection to the server and keeps that connection open as long as needed or until closed by the server or client. And during this connection, the client and the server can exchange information in almost at real-time manner. This is why websockets are very useful specially to chat server where in updates or replies happens in a real-time manner.
One more noticeable change is your 2fa.. this past days, when i try to login,it keeps saying i entered wrong codes, tho it is clearly correct, i have tried to do the same with mp.bustabit.com and i get no errors at all.. So what i did was just keep trying until it lets me in.. But today,another change was made, you now lock user accounts that tries to enter 2fa multiple times.. I know this is for security concern, bur have you checked on why the user keeps entering wrong codes? Maybe, its not the users fault after all?
Continuing with that,so yes,my account got locked. Another noticeable change was the lack of support.. Before, we can talk to ryan in real time whenever he is on via skype or slack.. but now after emails, i git no response. there's literally no one in-charge for support.

Yes, I am planning to merge the stats on my site if MP isn't going to do it. I just don't want to spend time on it only to see them merging it after a few days so that's why I was asking about it. To me it just doesn't make sense to see BetterBets with only 21 BTC wagered even though they already had 30k+ wagered  and same for other apps of course. Anyway, best of luck to new MP team. The transition seemed to be smooth to me and site is running fine with some wagered already. So that's a good start  Yes i hope they do merge it. Like you said it openly available on the link given, so they wont need ryan's approval on it. Ive also requested ryan to get a dump of the list of bets on my app just for future reference since this is also no longer available on the new stats. If any players cant find the link for their favorite apps. I made a simple list of all apps that most probably active or has traffic before.

Total stats is just a simple number. I cannot imagine it can bring any problem for "keeping the books orderly". Just keep the old stats in mind for administrative purposes and obv summing up all bets will lack the old stats (but isn't a problem if you keep it in mind.) The advantage of merging the old stats is that it shows the MP apps are popular already. I assume Ryan could give the total app stats since it's not privacy sensitive and it's even still on: https://mp.bustabit.com/full-stats.jsonBut up to you guys of course Just for the sake of discussion, why cant you just take the record from http://mp.bustabit.com/full-stats.json then add or merge it with http://moneypot.com/full-stats.json ? This way you still have the old stats plus the new ones.Like jpr said its gonna take extra advertising again just to be able to reach your list. And it means alot for an app owner to be on the list of a bitcoin gambling directory site.. This gives extra exposure for the apps. |

I have to agree that atleast there should be a written guidelines for app owners on how to be on the featured list. And like the previous post above me, some of the apps on the list are either not working anymore, is no longer active or not worth to be in the "featured" basing it on the stats.
Tho as a human being its totally understandable that this changes may not be implemented right away or this very moment because of holidays. But business wise, in this online industry, losing a single day of the site being advertised is a lot, whether it be holidays or not.
On other note, i still believe and hope that the new team will improve MP and really push the bar high.

I never intend to false advertise or any dirty tricks regarding advertising my site. But yea like ryan said, its a simple multiplexing of server seed chains, which makes the rolls faster since it does not need to wait for another seed to be able to make another roll. Tho on the contrary, it doesnt add any kind of difficulty for the user. As all seeds are recorded and can be verified. The only thing that it does is like ryan said, it subverts the internal throttling that mp has.
Anyway, with that already on the sides. I personally welcome the new moneypot owners, hope we and other app owners can work for better improvements.
And i hope you guys can build that trust to attract more investors and have that mp bankroll on the top again.

Im Happy to say we have reached more than 100+ BTC Wagered, in just 7 days!!. You can check the stats on https://dicesites.com/moneypot  Major update: I have upgraded the code on the dice rolls.. And i can say, the rolls are extremely fast!.. Personal test made me bet approx. 20 Bets/sec. But ofcourse this is still based on your current internet connection. Try us out and spam some rolls.  ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪ uni You are using MoneyPot. You don't have access to the code to improve roll speed as it is handled by Ryan at MoneyPot. This is a blatant lie. Also there is a throttle on rolls at MP that you don't have permission to change. I dont get where this attack is coming from. Tho i will still answer you with out most respect even tho i dont need to explain myself to you. I have not said nor claimed that i have or had access to the code to improve roll speed. And like you said, i use moneypot, therefor i know how their api works etc. If what you meant was my statement "I have upgraded the code on the dice rolls.", then you totally misunderstood. Moneypot uses two kinds of 'api' or way to communicate with their api. One is a implicit flow, which is also called a client side app, where in the user or the client communicates directly to moneypot's api. While the other one is call confidential flow, which is also called a server side app, wherein all the communication from the user/client goes through the app owner's server then passing it to moneypot's api. My app uses the confidential flow, and ive integrated everything on websockets, so no ajax calls. Having said what a confidential flow is, the app owners have more control over how the client bets, and by me saying i have upgraded the code on the dice rolls, i meant was up upgraded how my app communicates with moneypot's api by doin a simple technique to make the bets fast, and its fast enough to be almost real time. I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you have not visited my site and just assumed that if a site is under moneypot, it cant have fast rolls. Im just asking those guys that are betting big amounts of money like this: I should stop  Down 19 BTC & that's just this month. Oh well. Im really curious to know how can you bet so much money, where did this money from? For me, I can only hope that I make 19 BTC in total after making BTC slowly and saving it all in maybe a year or so, but you are gambling it all in a single day. This is just crazy for me and I don't get it. I would like to know the history of the people here that have that much amount of money. If some can bet and afford that amount to lose, then he should be atleast wise enough to have some invested on something that would generate him money or bitcoins.. You cant have so much money and have no brain at all. Unless you are one of the fortunate yet stupid ppl that gains their wealth either by inheritance or anything you didnt work for. This is basing on experience.  |
