As far as I can see in the repository, there's no discussion about enabling public channels in 'Issues' and 'Pull Requests'. Filtered with " lightning" tag: You can ask the developers themselves or post a " pull-request wanted" topic in the 'Issues' tab. Alright, Thanks a lot for your answer

Hello,
are there any plans of allowing public lightning channels on Electrum?, thus (thus enable charging payment routing fees)?

I'd love to help in any way, however currently I don't have neither time nor the resources required to host it again sry

BDB == wallet LevelDB == blocks
In normal implementations. however libmldb is used here.

Done. TQ. (BTW, also tested AhmedMSedeek's latest uploaded block chain, still same problem. )
Same for me - didn't work. But the one that pallas posted, worked great and my wallet is finally synced! Yaaaay! I don't know where the problem is! . I have cleaned the blockchain of my wallet and used the one I created earlier to see whether it will sync correctly and it worked just fine. May be because I'm on windows or what? Could be incompatible bdb versions. I don't know what is "bdb versions", but does that mean what I'm doing (frequently creating a torrent file for the blockchain) is pointless and won't help anybody?

what files did you include in it? may be I'm missing something that should be there I include the following: - blocks folder - peers.dat - trie.dat I included the same. And, before making the archive, I made sure the files wheren't open by any process, using "fuser". Ahah, Thanks! I'm a windows user anyway and don't know the equivalent of "fuser" in windows but at least I would wait for a while after closing the wallet before copying the files.

can this be fixed?
I'm not even sure if this is why the newly synchronizing wallet gets stuck, but that's the attack mentioned in the whitepaper, however if this is the case I think it should be straight forward to fix by making the wallet downloads the other available version of the blockchain when it can't synchronize with the fake one.

Can I get a quick pointer as to what is corrupting the blockchain, is the mini-blockchain concept the problem ?
I got the issue when syncing from scratch only. When using a downloaded blockchain, the wallet worked for months. I think i can take time from my own work tonight to try a fresh sync and observe any errors or abnormalities. There's a possible attack that mentioned in the whitepaper when there's not enough contributing members with newly synchronizing wallets That is a different blockchain exists in the network that claims to have higher mining effort (higher total difficulty) and the wallet tries to sync with that version of the blockchain and gets stuck at some point where it can't sync anymore and I believe that point is 7 days behind current time because that's the point where a real blockchain exists on the network and because the "fake" blockchain seems to have higher difficulty the wallet doesn't sync with the current version of the blockchain

XCN deposits stopped working also on btc38. any chance this problem could be fixed? on poloniex and on btc38?
I talked to btc38, they are fixing it. and poloniex? I've got this reply from polo support: Thank you for getting in touch. Correct, our copy of the blockchain is continuously corrupting itself and so we've not been able to sync the wallet. We have received offers of help from the XCN community and our team have tried using their suggestions to resolve the issue, but still all to no avail. Know that we always do everything possible so as to ensure that wallets are back up and running as promptly as possible. Rest assured that if this could have been resolved by now then it certainly would have. Give them this link please: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B0Jm_-4eCvONRjdjd01udEdGQnM?usp=sharing

I think I asked a while ago and didn't get a response:
Can anyone explain the benefits of cryptonite mini blockchain scheme compared to just running a pruned node for Bitcoin or a clone?
To make it simple: - Pruned node requires to download the whole blockchain for verification then prune it. - To keep the blockchain more handy to download, you need the block limit to prevent it from exploding. - With mini-blockchain no limit is needed, so it's already designed to handle a lot of transactions just like VISA and MasterCard. edit: Forgot to mention that: - The more the blockchain size is, the harder it is to host a full node, the more centralized the coin becomes. I'm not that big fan for Cryptonite itself, but I'm rather a fan with the concept of the mini-blockchain schema itself, and that's because there's a lot of things that can be improved in a new coin with mini-blockchain schema that virtually makes it the #1 coin in the community.

why the link for the blockchain over and over,
this coins wallet works fine, if setup,
but not an explorer, pallas, you put up the miniexplorer thing. is there not someone that wants to host the explorer, still not available as of now,
link for the blockchain because there's usually a sync problem which pops up every now and then and the only solution to it (till now) is to provide a fresh working blockchain (less than 7 days). why not hosting the explorer? for me I would love to but unfortunately I know nothing about linux

Hello guys, I'm trying to give a hand to help keep this coin alive, that's why I decided to create a shared folder where I'll share a torrent file for Cryptonite blockchain and I'll try to keep that folder updated on a weekly basis or more. If you want to help by downloading and seeding the blockchain every now and then, you are most welcomed Here is the link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B0Jm_-4eCvONRjdjd01udEdGQnM?usp=sharingThanks
