Can anyone please explain how the fees are applied? What means purchase fee? I loaded my card with 1btc and used it only for purchasing goods never took money from ATM, i have EUR card and use it in another country that has other currency, in the end i was charged with 17EUR transaction fees. Is this normal not having the full details, can assume that you have used the card to pay in a currency different from the currency of the card. Visa/MasterCard charge a 3% fx conversion fee in such cases. Is that what you are asking about? Yes that was the question. So if i purchase USD card and if i pay in USD on ebay and else there will be no fees? My other card issued from my bank, does not charge me when i purchase something in other country and in other currency, i have fees only when i pull money from the ATM. I have MasterCard. Thanks for the quick answer

Ahh I was actually going to recommend something very like that but someone else did all the work. plink comes with putty and I have used it for automated ssh tasks in order to connect to a linux box, and execute commands based on a windows bat file. I am not familiar with pscp which that guy uses but I would just have created two cgminer.conf files on the miner, like cgminer.conf.lo and cgminer.conf.hi and use plink to do some sort of copy and rename on the conf files on the miner rather than copy them onto the miner each time. The Pc that i use is in my LAN, so the copy with the pscp command is fast and also i dont mind the mini delay because is executed automaticaly.

Sorry for the off topic.. I asked this question yesterday in the Software thread. Lots of views, but no replies. Maybe someone here knows the answer, if there is one. Is there an app, somewhat like a task scheduler, that can change the frequency on an S7/S9 depending on the time of day? That would be great to increase the miner frequency after 8:00 PM and decrease it sometime mid morning when the heat returns. Any answers or thoughts appreciated! My R1 reboots every 48 hours to keep it alive... in that Antminer menu, it has scheduled tasks etc. See those small ants run at http://www.antrun.de/ .... 30 runners pointing to solo.ckpool.org. Back to your question... some cron job to check time and perform those CLIs via SSH probably can do the trick. I am sure we have many gurus here who are good in scripts..... kano and ck perhaps can give you expert guidance. Personally, I would want all my miners to go full warp speed, after halving. It's too bad the new Ants don't have some kind of task scheduler built into the interface. That would be awesome. I have programmed everything from COBOL and RPG to Visual Basic and Java over the years, but I have forgotten most of it and that kind of programming/coding is over my head nowadays. Perhaps some of the coding gurus have or can come up with a viable option. ** Three more blocks today will make me happy! EDIT: It's too hot here after 11:00 in the morning until around 8:00 at night to run full speed as I'm only cooling with fans now. It's 96F outside now. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=956098.msg10462772#msg10462772You are welcome

Any way to tweak a S7-LN and change web interface/ssh port for remotely controlling it? Done it for Spondoolies, hope it can be done for Bitmain miners
Yes there is, but you should find the file with winscp and manualy edit it. I forgot which was it on the s4 but i think is the same on all ants.

... Also, where does 250BTC come from? I assume you have the facts to back up this number. ...
Oh I missed this one Heh, so you don't even know where that number comes from. Wow, you really need to understand the statistics of pool mining before going off on a rant about "No Facts" Burn

Hate-bait successful! Please refer to Pros #1: Reference https://slushpool.com/stats/hashrate_proof/Please also refer to Cons #2: Transparency my ass, communication zero! Dont lie to him please
More hate, based on no facts, with no references and no evidence. I still fail to understand it. What pool anyone chooses is precisely none of your concern, anyone with EVIDENCE insisting that Slushpool is not entirely legit is still HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to come forth with it. I'm not about to put a bounty on this information, but if anyone HAD such evidence and refused to share it, that would make them a far shittier person than any pool operator scamming their members. ok sorry didnt knew that slush made it possible to see the hashrate proof, but again that is because of lack of communication. Not all use facebook to see his updates. If he is more acitve here maybe he will atract more PH.

Are there any compelling reasons that make miners stay on this pool?
Pros: 1. Transparency that goes far above and beyond any other pool that I am aware of. 2. Really nicely done GUI, tools, and statistics. 3. Democratic hashpower voting for user-submitted proposals. (Never heard of another pool doing this) 4. Years of experience and uptime coupled with a continually evolving system. 5. Backed by large amount of hashpower including some mines over 1PH. 6. Can use Google 2FA for wallet address changes (As well as perm-locking an address to an account) really nice security features. Cons: 1. Slightly higher PPS fees. 2. Seems to attract a lot of hate, haven't figured that one out yet. Feel free to look back over the debate spanning basically the entire life of this post, but better question: Do you have any compelling reason why not to use this pool? Transparency my ass, communication zero! Dont lie to him please

alright just getting back into things with a antminer s4. I used to mine on slush but from what ive noticed slush is not really decent anymore. Doing some reading up and kano seems like a dude I can support and in turn receive support. So im joining the pool, only question is should I set my difficulty to 2048? Is that still applicable with the latest s4 firmware?
checkthis out:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=274023.0 It times like this I believe im not smart enough to be mining bitcoin lol. But if I read that right 2TH / 1.4 = 1428? Im using 2048 with my s4s

More than 12 hours, 0 block. Is Slush outsourcing us to make his own profit?
Just keep on mining there and maybe you will find out, maybe!

If they done this intentionaly i hope that they never get the BTC, i lost 0.7 on rentals during this bad luck period.
