When i start the 5870's in 1 of my rigs and just drop the memory drown to 300 i get a jump from 380mhash to 400 ish, Both cards are clocked at 868/1200 from factory, i see similar things when i do the same with the 5850's im running but going any lower always seems to cause stablity to drop on the cards

Anything ECS deserves fire, awfull kit

Change to Phoenix 2.0 and drop guiminer and see how it goes, had similar issues with pheonix 1.x when the cards would crash due to the overclock they ran, also what temp do the cards run at and do you have somthing like afterburner controlling fan speed?

Any reason for the change to linux? just change windows power management to power down the drives when not in use after x mins, if you can clean any cable clutter from around the card front and back and give it acces to clear air it will help more, the card needs some breathing room if the ambient temp rises and the fan is already flat out the card wont be able to cool itself

I have a 6990m in a laptop that is being used as a mobile miner when its out and about with me, gives me 250Mh boost every so often

I would try and get your temps down below 80, can you improve airflow in the case? failing that drop the clock speed down as running the fans at 100% all the time will shorten thier life considerably, also might be worth setting the power management to spin down the hard disks when your not there as no point running them if they arnt in use

|
i cant see why not but chances are a few 100/1000 shares will flow in at the same time as yours which will dilute the 50BTC a bit

Have you tried a different Miner? CGminer hates one of my 5850's yet its twin works fine, both cards mine perfectly using Pheonix
|
|
|
Can you get a replacement PSU? its might just be a case of swapping each component out untill the point of failure is id'd

Are the cards OC'd? speeds? any logs?

Changed over main rigs and been running all day, just had 1 card crash and readings jumped to 18Ghash then dropped back to 1.9 ghash when should have been 1.5ghash, would be great to have somthing that could detect a card stopping and restart it, running on Win7 x64 5x 5850
|

|
Running on 2x 5870, might update my main rigs later
without the aggression entry cards only run at 95%, now added to config and everything seems to be ok and maybe gained a few Mhs

Have you run each card up individually in the board? also try using Phoenix from a batch file with the device=0/1/2 for each card, i had a similar issue with 1 5850 but had to play musical slots with the board to get it working at full speed

Happy with my Draytek 2820 but maybe with 60GHash it might be worth looking at having an additional connection added and load balance it all, would provide a failover also as having that much kit idling due to no internet would still burn a fair bit of power

SMB IT solutions but do support, consulting and maintenance on a lot a large sites aswell

Dont forget to switch back to the 2.5 sdk after reinstalling

1 week, have a few cards that take a while to settle after a reboot but i would rather loose a few Mhash from not overclocking to the edge and them crash at night than have them running 24/7

2 6990's = 4 GPU's so no you cant run them in crossfire
