Hello, I noticed that someone suggested early on in this thread that GPU farming should somehow be eliminated. How are you going to make it impossible to farm with GPUs? Because you can't just "get rid of it" by changing the algorithm. Anything that works by checking millions of hashes a second is much faster on a GPU than on a CPU and there is no working around that. It is impossible to get rid of GPU mining without doing something like just throttling the hash rate of any individual PC, or something, and I think that can be circumvented.

Hi, I have an idea. Everyone knows the success of the bernie_maddoff [sic] ponzi, which was successful because it had a high jackpot. I was wondering if we could all pool our money together, create a high jackpot/high return ponzi and share the rewards or losses... such a ponzi would last a long time.

I was stupid and posted this in a new thread... anyways this offer is still open. The first 1.5BTC address will get 0.25BTC sent promptly. The first person to invest 1.5BTC or more from the same address on my game ( http://bitcoinduit.com/2nd_gets_half_profit) will receive 0.25BTC for their investment. Of course, this does not recoup your costs but 1.5 should add 0.225BTC to the jackpot, which I think is enough to get this game going. EDIT! You can now choose instead to invest 1BTC and get 0.15BTC back.

The price is low because the bitcoin convention did not attract much media attention, but everyone thought it would and everyone drove the price up to 11.5.

If a mod could whitelist me, that would be great... I don't think you saw my first post. Hi, I'd like to be whitelisted, I've been lurking at these forums for about three weeks, mining on slush's pool for a while with my HD 6870 (300 MH/s) and mining a bit of solidcoin as well. Thanks.
