Many thanks to everyone who entered
The Winner chosen by Crypsi is... LibBItY
Sumbmitted by @cryptocollecta on twitter
There were some very close entries shortlisted from here on bitcointalk (Bitapocalyptic was a great name that was considered and a few posters were close with variations on Liberty)
Hope to do this again sometime later on the year and thanks again to everyone who took part

When is crypsy going to choose? I have not more patience! We must make it clear Crypsi (with an 'i') is not in any way connected to the exchange Crypsy (which we understand to be fully reputable, secure & decent) - for legal purposes CrypArt also cannot be held responsible for anything Crypsi says or does.. We will however ensure the prize is honoured and sent to the winner!

When is crypsy going to choose? I have not more patience! original post said the 15th March, so guess we have to stick to that in case anyone is staring at it every night and working out the best titles to spring into action on the 14th!

Inglorious BTC
The BTC From the heart
How will you decide on a winner?
Crypsi will pick one! We did think about picking a top 3/ top 5 and then let people vote on it, but would be too open to manipulation (say like an election where you have to pay $25 for a vote… ;-) )

Bitcoin / Project Development / Developer Needed for CrypArt
|
on: February 24, 2015, 03:44:28 PM
|
Please note this is not a competition (otherwise post apparently gets hidden under 'gambling') We are looking for help in developing CrypArt, a project to bring art to the bitcoin industry CrypArt will be an 'open-source' project in that any artists can submit picture(s) which will be made/ sold on their behalf - please feel free to register your interest in helping develop this project below. As part of the project, we need to develop this picture which needs a title, anyone can suggest a title and the first print will be issued as payment to the successful developer If this post gets moves by fascist mods who can't understand projects, Crypsi will expand his/her/their campaign against corrupt financial institutions to include bitcointalk...

Yes, all pictures are limited to 99
Retail price should be about $400-500 (though coupons available for discounts, e.g. 'happy2015' reduces all prices by 20%)
Currently updating website, so should be up as an option on website in 3-4 weeks, once we have a title!

Crypsi, our resident anarchist CrypArtist has kindly let us name his latest picture. Suggest a title and if chosen, you will receive the first print (numbered 1/99) Winner will be chosen by 15th March and we will contact them to get postal address and chosen text (url/ quote/ public wallet address?) for the embedded QR code NB Please note the competition is being run across multiple platforms with more details on Reddit, Linkedin, Facebook and Twitter (@Crypart @CrypsiArt)

working on it… We used a plain QR code canvas to accept bitcoin donations at the cryptovalley conference in the Isle of Man for a local charity (then gave them the cash as they do not accept bitcoin (yet)). They were initially horrified I had messed up their QR code (which just takes you to their website) - had to explain that a QR code could be more than a website link and calm them down first! Became more interested when I pointed out paypal wouldn't take 8% of donations, they could track donations so thefts almost impossible, plus donations could be made anonymously which might lead to extra funds from people wanting to be discreet/ private... Just had a 'branded' canvas delivered for a major UK charity that does accept bitcoin (will post a picture here, hopefully after they approve it) Part of Satushi's plans involve using a % of any profits to design and deliver canvases to every charity that does accept bitcoin Digital file is more useful as charities can put them on Twitter/ Facebook/ LinkedIn etc to make donations as easy as possible, but we think CrypArt is still useful for events/ office receptions etc
