Economy / Currency exchange / Re: What is the cheapest way to buy bitcoin with a debit or credit card?
|
on: March 19, 2018, 05:28:51 AM

Coinbase would be the only way I suppose. Another way would be to link your debit card to PayPal and buy coins from those who foolishly ignore the risks when accepting reversible payment methods.
There is no other way. People are too scared and paranoid of what you might do after getting the coins. After all, the two major card brands (Visa and MasterCard) allow cardholders to do chargebacks up to 90 days from payment date.
Plus one can never tell if the card information was phished or hacked. Too risky.

|

Bitcoin debit card providers should not exclude markets which have a traditionally solid record of spending power. Penetrating those markets and establishing a strong user base is crucial for the success of these card programs. That’s because generating revenue invariably depends on the volume of transactional fees incurred as a result of card usage. The more cardholders loading and using the cards, the more profitable these cards will be for these card providers.
Survival will be difficult in this intensely competitive prepaid card environment if the cards are restricted to a very small segment of users such as the EU alone. To be successful, Wirex, Cryptopay etc should expand their operations worldwide.

Be very careful when taking PayPal from untrusted sources. The risks are not just very real but also unpredictable. That’s because PayPal allows disputes to be opened up to a ridiculous 180 days from the day of payment. On top of that, if a credit card was used as funding source, the sender can also file a chargeback with their card issuer. Very generous terms all in favor of the scammer which is why you are bound to have a very busy thread when you accept PayPal for your coins. Well, some people like me have only PP to pay with. Don't leave them without a chance D:
No, that’s nonsense. There are alternatives but you’re either too lazy to consider them or you don’t want to use them because they can’t be reversed.

Well it seems someone just reported that link as a potential malware or virus. I'm reporting this to the section moderator to have think suspicious link (or maybe even the thread) removed. There are some here who just click and click without reading warnings and caveats from other members. Even if you were to remove the link and sell the account here instead, it's still suspicious. There is no mention about escrow. Nothing about trusted feedback on your newbie account apart from that lonely disgraceful red trust. Stop selling and buying scam accounts. It promotes scams and empowers scammers.

Why can't you source money from traditional banks or local investors? Sourcing funds by selling tokens is very risky. There have been a series of scams in the past which were extremely sophisticated and elaborate in their sales approach. What's scary and concerning is that some of them did manage to rake in tens of millions of USD before the people behind those token projects disappeared in thin air.
What assurances and guarantees can you provide to your target investors? Whitepapers and roadmaps are not sufficient indicators of credibility. Creating them takes minimal effort when team effort is involved. Sophisticated minds can create these token projects if there are adequate financial incentives in sight. Scammers do brainstorm and some of them are really good at it if they know there is something to be gained from it.

It's basically a charity exchange. An old but still effective concept. Just sign up and send coins to your new wallet. That's how you donate coins. I use the word donate because any coins you put on this exchange are coins which forever stay with them. Deposits allowed. Withdrawals prohibited.
Same thing with all these other exchanges which give their users the runaround. Depositing coins has never been easier and faster. No KYC procedures and no identity verification required to deposit coins. But if you want to withdraw those very same coins and any profits you might have made on their trade platforms, that's when you realize you signed up with a charity exchange. Charities take donations. It's a one way transaction. They take and you give. No reciprocity.
In OP's case, this is a classic example of a charity exchange. Sign up and send coins to your new Letsdocoinz wallet. Then try withdrawing them. You can't. Congratulations, you just donated your coins to them.

The developer has other wallets which have had their fair share of warnings about vulnerabilities. Their Rushwallet will soon be disabled https://rushwallet.comKryptoKit is their Chrome extension wallet. What's bad about it is the mining fee. It's a static 0.0002 BTC and you can't adjust or change it based on network congestion levels. A shame their wallets are riddled with vulnerabilities and security issues. I like Jaxx's Shapeshift exchange feature incorporated within the wallet. Allows one to seamlessly convert cryptos. Haven't tried it yet but I wish other wallets had the same feature.

I love it when forum members band together to render hacked accounts useless. This was a nice catch. Left undetected, whoever took over that account would have had a window of opportunity to wreak havoc on the community by scamming unsuspecting members. Given the account's age and rank, it puts the hacker in full control of negotiations and terms while trading with lower tiered users here or any member for that matter. Yes, this was definitely a good catch. Thank you Welsh. And thanks to those who quickly tagged the account too.
That's a subtle way of reviving the account. A couple of single-sentence lines. Probably testing the waters to see if the long hibernation and change of access credentials will pass undetected. Good thing they weren't overlooked.
Well done.

I'm saying I want 20-50$ USD . I mean technically it's an error but come on now I see. I apologize for my earlier comment. It did look like 20 to 50 bitcoins which probably explains the quiet thread I should learn to read between the lines. Not so good at it but I’m getting there. Remember, PayPal is reversible. Trade as F&F and maybe spread the transactions incrementally between buyers to lessen the chance or risk of the entire 50 being disputed and reversed. It’s just much harder to prove 3 or 4 separate payments being fraudulent as opposed to a single payment of $50.

PM me if you accept escrow from this forum
you sure escrow from this forum accept for trader bitcointalk accounts ? you try find and PM me Well, in that case, how do you propose to transact with buyers here? Do you expect them to send bitcoins to you first? Should they blindly trust you and pretend you have green trust? I'm just curious about the assurances you can give to all these scammers who want to buy your second hand accounts. Not that I want to protect them. The bought accounts and their buyers deserve to be tagged. People buying accounts almost always have a motive and it's usually an ulterior one. I doubt anyone here is buying an account just so they can proudly brag about their new user names or higher ranks. Escrows might not touch these trades. That's because most of them are established members and have DT privileges. If you ask a DT member to escrow this transaction, you can expect to see the sold account tagged faster than you can blink your eye. Going back to my earlier question, do you seriously expect buyers to send you their coins first? On second thought, it's probably a good idea to scam the scammers buying these accounts.

Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling BTC Worldwide - Escrow and many more trustee
|
on: March 17, 2018, 09:09:38 AM
|
Nobody and I repeat absolutely no one will send bitcoins or fiat to you upfront without satisfactory escrow protection. This includes incremental amounts of either fiat or BTC.
Escrows should be independent, unbiased and unrelated to the transacting parties and should have a proven and established track record of providing escrow and fiduciary services.
A “test transaction” of or from 500 BTC is not to be taken lightly. This is a seriously immense amount of money. Don’t be fooled by promises to transact larger amounts later on the condition that the “smaller” 500 BTC test transaction is first completed on riskier terms. Take precautions even with 1 BTC.
Carefully examine the escrow procedure and, where or when possible, never hesitate to seek a second opinion. Experienced forum members can help assess the risks and traps which some here might overlook. If a contract is drawn and presented for agreement, take the time to study it in its entirety.
Your own or by us recommended trustee..
Be very careful when choosing this “trustee” or escrow. Not all lawyers, attorneys, barristers, solicitors, auditors, accountants etc are legitimate and independent representatives of their trade and profession. Some are partial, biased and unfair. Some even downright dishonest and criminal so tread carefully, especially when OP insists that they use their own nominated escrow.
Always take phrases like all clean and legit with a pinch of salt.

Buy BTC for a cashless settlement. I am a direct representative of buyers (Bank of Dubai). Interested in volumes - more than 5000 bts. Everything is as safe as possible. The principle of the deal and other details will be explained in the telegram.
Telegram: @ Elagorn
But there is no such bank (Bank of Dubai). There is a Commercial Bank of Dubai, Emirates NBD, Dubai Islamic Bank, RAKBank etc. But no Bank of Dubai. So that's the first red flag. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_banks_in_the_United_Arab_EmiratesNothing mentioned here about escrow and you want 5000 bitcoins Sellers... always use escrow. Never send anything upfront without escrow protection, even incrementally. Never send coins based on screenshots of a bank transfer or any document purporting to show payment confirmation of any kind. Please be careful.

You can use the help of a hacker to recover bitcoins without private key. I was able to recover my account with my coins intact. You can contact him as well cybertronxiii@protonmail.com How do you expect a hacker to help? They are known to invade accounts and keep their contents. I’m sure you own that email address. Anyone with account-related issues should contact Blockchain’s support directly. Contacting a hacker is a silly solution. It’s like contacting a thief to open your locked vault. Never share private keys, mnemonics, recovery phrases and other sensitive account information with anyone. Randomly answered and bumped this thread. I am not sure why have used query related thread to bump with your shit posts. Please use the off topic threads to do that. Here this section is widely used for wallet related doubts and etc. No will share the private key or wallet seed to anyone. If we just Google it also we can find this answer in the first result page answer itself. Simply you share the waste reply here. Unhappy with my post which perhaps killed any chance of convincing him to give you sensitive access credentials for that blockchain account? It always pleases me when they voice out their frustration and anger. It doesn’t affect me a bit. Very encouraging to read responses like yours so you can look forward to more anti-scam comments of the kind I posted above. No free coins this time. It’s getting harder to pull off that big coup.

So he wants to exchange all his worthless VEF into bitcoins, knowing there is no market for Venezuelan currency and the government imposed strict currency exchange controls so you can’t export that money. Exporting it is useless. Nobody outside Venezuela accepts VEF. He is also counting on the gullible and naive here to not do their due diligence and simply be blinded by those endless stacks of worthless Venezuelan Bolivar money. Here is one video which shows why you should NEVER take up this offer: https://youtu.be/fnLM2fXeXY4To help you understand why and how this is a scam, for 1K bitcoins he will need to give you VEF which could fill an entire football stadium. Or maybe even 2 or 3. And that would be worthless bits of paper you can’t take out of Venezuela.
