I'm using my Bitcoin hardware for the same thing I used it for before I even knew Bitcoin existed - gaming. Still waiting for the day that Skyrim becomes a "financial purpose," though.

I dare you to post another pic of that cpu box within your own post viewing this thread.
Hmm? Did someone say... Inception? Any good CPU's there? I'll buy any 775s you've got. Sorry, no 775's yet. Only a few 1155, 1156 and 1366's but I didn't have a socket for them so I trashed them. Any modern CPUs that work? I'd pay you for core-i series, better than throwing them out.

I left my miner running all night and Windows restarted itself to install updates

I managed to mine a block so all is well. Though Time Warner picked today for my internet service to go out so I'm stealing my neighbor's wi-fi for the time being...

How long should it take me to mine a block using the Windows client on a 2500k? Need to see if my miner is working...

Anyone know how to squeeze more hashes out of my 2500k? Running at 4.2 ghz with 4 threads, I am getting a little over 2 khash per thread using the default settings for the Windows miner.

i0coin deposit is disabled...

I can't find a working i0coin client either, I need to get what i0coins I have left out of bitparking and currently have nowhere to transfer them to.
https://github.com/fusebox/i0coinPardon my confusion, but is that a binary or just source?

I mined for about a week on my gaming pc (single 6950) before I realized I wasn't making any money at current prices, at that point I bought $200 worth of bitcoins, exchanged half of them to i0coins, and woke up today to realize that investment lost half its value in less than 24 hours. Fun times, but nothing to do right now except tough it out, leave my money in there, and hope things turn around. Oh, and buy more cheap i0coins
EDIT: I might buy your 6990 for a reasonable price when the 7000s come out. I am more interested in gaming than mining, and for that it will be fine.

Me. I made $37 in ~3 hours yesterday transferring my BTC to i0c, waiting for the price to go up, and then selling them.

I am so tempted, but Newegg charges tax in my state and I am completely broke (except for BTC) at the moment. I wouldn't be getting it for mining, but actually for gaming.
With the 5970 in my HTPC-turned-homebrew-game-console and my 2 6950s in my main desktop, I think I'd be set for a long time. Plus I would have all the mining hardware I'd need when the price of BTC shoots back up.
Is this like a one-off deal or can these be found for a similar price at other places/times?
What kind of PSU do you guys think would be necessary to power a Q9550, a 5970, and 4 hard drives?

Or you could be a gamer who mines coins for a little extra income when the price is right...

Not quite sure what it was, but I had a sell order at $12 which wasn't executed even though the graph shows the price hitting $16 yesterday... now it's still back to $7+ if I decide to sell my $4 bitcoins...

Posting from work, I didn't know a single thing about Bitcoin until last week, I had an extra 6950 that wasn't being used for much so I decided to try my hand at mining. Dwolla is taking FOREVER to process my payment or else I'd try trading as well, hopefully I can make some money.
