201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: List of risks investing in cryptocurrency on: January 23, 2018, 06:43:26 PM
The first risk I can think of is scams, it is happening daily to scam users of their crypto currencies. The other risk is pump and dump, people tends to buy when coins are pumping and became a bag holder when the coin dumped on them.
The scam is only a minor risk in investing in coin. The major risk is the whales, they can dump the coin and leave you with nothing.
202  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 Bitcoin = $100. Best buy on: January 23, 2018, 06:42:05 PM
In 2009, 1 bitcoin was $1  Grin

Buy Bitcoin only when it comes down to $100 and wait and see if it survives the law.  Huh

When Silver is $18/ounce, Bitcoin is killing itself with a price of more than $100
Why are people posting about Silver and Bitcoin in here? There is a huge difference between the two.

Silver being $18 an ounce is a lot to carry, Bitcoin could be carried with more value in an storage device with a weight of an ounce.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BIG DUMP!!! But i am waiting the chance to get in for more! What do you think? on: January 22, 2018, 11:02:59 PM
I believed so many peoples feel like crying when look into your portfolio recently. Seeing all the coins drop 10-20% each day. So many people are in panic and some even cut lost and dump which make this happen.

BUT i am a long term holder and waiting this big chance to get in for more!

When everyone is panic, You should be greedy!

Cheers everyone!
Chinese New Year sale is going on now. Cheesy

this movements are inevitable.. however most of the coins did not get down to the price they were a month ago before the big pumps occured
What coins are you waiting for?
Ethereum is going up and down 1k dollars, that is a good day trading opportunity.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Golden Age of ICO's is coming to an End on: January 22, 2018, 11:01:32 PM
I can see more private equity firms start looking at getting a controlling stake of a new coin before it if ever goes to ICO. They could cherry pick the best ones for themselves before the general public gets a look in.
Even with private firms looking into private sales with projects, the ICO's will still exist for the public. most developers want more money, it doesn't matter how much they get from private firms.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Dogecoin have a future? on: January 21, 2018, 01:04:07 AM
It has a big chance to be for 1 dollar becouse many people use it for transfer their funds!
Big chance for Doge to get to $1? I don't know how you are receiving your source, what makes you want to think that the price is going to that level?
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 is the year of Blockchain on: January 21, 2018, 01:03:21 AM
i really hope it is the year of blockchain implementation, i think eth will make me a lot of money this year
It could be the very start of Blockchain development inside the mainstream banking corporations.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do I need to sell all alts? on: January 21, 2018, 12:07:20 AM
Good day,
Do you think that BTC is going to reach 20k soon?
If yes do I need to sell all alts and wait for rising BTC?
What to do now ? I am confused!!!!
Hold them then sell them later if you have them still. The coins that you hold should be worth something if you chose the correct ones.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether: not even a scam on: January 20, 2018, 11:05:10 PM
thether is the real bitcoin i hodl
Tether is not the real Bitcoin, that's like calling Bitcoin Cash or Bitcoin Gold the real Bitcoin. Crazy.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can a country actually ban BITCOIN on: January 20, 2018, 09:19:10 PM
The authorities of some countries can block access to different crypto sites and crypto wallets and limit trade using crypto currency. But people will find an opportunity to circumvent these prohibitions.
They can't limit anything. People can find ways around their system though they can actually move somewhere else to break those limits.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can myetherwallet get hacked? on: January 20, 2018, 08:53:18 PM
Absolutely, your funds and wallet are safe as long as you're not giving your key to anyone
The wallet and the private key that was built from MyEtherWallet is definitely not a safe file. You have to change the passwords to the wallet.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your plan? on: January 20, 2018, 08:35:41 PM
I am on for the long haul I hold a few coins and planning to hold for 2-3 years time.
Also now investing in ICO. Rarely trading
Holding onto the coins is the only thing that I can do now, the price does not mean that much to me. As long as I have the coin then it's okay.
212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin future on: January 20, 2018, 08:35:03 PM
Probably the fastest way to earn a profit from altcoin is by trading. But it must also have the skill to read signal signal altcoin, when will rise when will go down. With these skills can make a decision when to buy or sell altcoin.
With all these coins that we have to select from, there should be more people trying to clear the market of the worthless coins.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from Pump and Dump groups! on: January 20, 2018, 07:44:57 PM
I never joined a pump-dump group but i regard the ones who join a pump-dump group as eager to give his money to admins of group.
Pumps and dumps will always be there when there is a coin that has a high price. There is a lot of coins that will be manipulated though they can do well if they are worked on.
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The price is dropping so when is the right time to buy? on: January 20, 2018, 07:44:31 PM
I realize no one knows when the drop will level off. Im wondering though since i just bought a bunch more yesterday and lost a bunch more by today (lol never spend more than you can afford to lose) when do you foresee this leveling off and time to buy other currencies? Or how would you judge when the right time to buy is besides checking the mkt hourly and driving your self nuts? Id buy more today if i see a shift towards a leveling off however when i see 10-40% drops daily id like to mitigate losing hundreds of dollars per coin in a day when I buy more of them to hold onto.
I'd also like to say that now would be the time to purchase the coin because the price is beginning to prep for the pump.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what to do if bitcoin decreases? on: January 20, 2018, 04:17:01 PM
Actually I do not understand the interest to focus so much on the price of bitcoin, when there are hundreds of other options that can offer you great profitability if your only interest is speculation. But if in reality the only thing that motivates you from bitcoin is to hold it in the long term, its current low price should not worry you that much and you should take advantage of it to buy more.
If Bitcoin has a lower value, I would purchase it before the price goes higher than most people think it will get.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoin will make us rich? on: January 19, 2018, 10:32:38 PM
If I had only $ 500, then perhaps I would have invested them in equal proportions in COB and in AST. Well, or traded for short positions with a breeze to earn everywhere a little bit.

In any case, it will be necessary to wait before fixing the profit, almost all the coins give a good profit, but over time.
I kind of just feel that investing in those coins or any new altcoins nowadays will not make the investor rich.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy Eth with my Bitcoin on: January 19, 2018, 10:31:05 PM
So I should hold the Bitcoin instead of the litecoin?
If you have both then why not hold both of them? I would keep Bitcoin over Litecoin if I had to choose just one of them.
218  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is this for real? I could be a millionaire? on: January 19, 2018, 10:10:45 PM
If you will see the current prices, you will get mad. You could have made much more. I think, if you have some money, you can still invest in bitcoins.

Current prices are lower than they will be by Q4.  I would buy what you can afford to lose and then HODL it.
The people purchasing now will have to keep their coins or else they will end with less money. That is how Bitcoin is.
219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guys, What is Fork/Hard Fork? on: January 19, 2018, 08:34:35 PM
Hey guys, I'm new to cryptocurrencies , I don't know much about Fork thing? What is Forking and how does it affect any crypto currency?
Like the other people answered already, forking is just an update to Bitcoin. Forks usually fix errors, bugs and new things get added into it.
220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you store your bitcoins? on: January 19, 2018, 08:32:21 PM
I save my bitcoin in the wallet, I think it's very safe for my bitcoin
I store Bitcoin inside of a wallet as well. I've been looking into having Bitcoin stored on Paper wallets but that is not safe to do either.
