1  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: ITTY BITTY EXCHANGE 50% OFF ALL FEES TODAY! on: November 18, 2013, 09:55:46 PM
I used them last week.

The first order underpaid me but when I messaged them, I got a response in an hour. They sent me the difference and refunded me 100% of their fees. System had the wrong commission amount. It looks fixed now as my second order had no issues.

7  Other / Off-topic / What happens if coins are sent to an invalid address? on: April 11, 2013, 11:48:26 PM
Hi all,

Someone has sent me an invalid address. Do the coins come back automagically?

8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bit Innovate - Buy and Sell Bitcoins in Australia & New Zealand (AUD, NZD) on: April 09, 2013, 03:14:23 AM
Used these guys and they were terrific.

Did everything they said they would. Took 1 day to cash out a client's coin.

Nice work.
9  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: serious question on: April 06, 2013, 10:37:31 AM
has anyone been able to get refunds?
10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: serious question on: April 06, 2013, 09:59:13 AM
ok, but now they have video evidence of a working unit

plus they have taken the 30k units off their product list

i suspect a scammer would leave that up to make some big chunks of cash?
11  Bitcoin / Hardware / serious question on: April 06, 2013, 09:52:23 AM
hi guys,

serious question here (really)

a lot of people said avalon was a scam but now they're delivering

is there a good chance the same thing is happening with BFL and they're just late?
12  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: buybitcoin.com I lol'd hard on: February 07, 2013, 10:20:38 AM
Has anyone used this service? Is it legit?

How long does it take to get coins?
13  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASIC shipping dates on: February 03, 2013, 10:44:00 PM
So, only 2 Avalons. That's it. No-one else has shipped any and we don't know for sure the 2 Avalons are even real?

14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASIC shipping dates on: February 02, 2013, 12:52:29 PM
So which companies HAVE shipped? What have they shipped? How many units have shipped? When are scheduled delivery times. There is so much FUD out there.

15  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Report Against CryptoXchange $100k USD on: December 06, 2012, 12:24:00 AM
To get adequate service for a statutory demand, postal delivery isn't sufficient.

This is not true.  The ATO - for instance - serves all of their statutory demands by mail to the address on record with ASIC, as do many businesses which issue statutory demands on a regular basis.  This is one reason why not keeping your details current on the ASIC registers is potentially catastrophic.

ATO and ASIC are able to. Your own lawyers aren't.

I've been down this road many times and I've had people have judgments overturned due to inadequate service. Fortunately, once their heads come up (by way of their lawyers) we serve the lawyers. Fixed.

16  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Report Against CryptoXchange $100k USD on: December 03, 2012, 05:35:51 AM
To get adequate service for a statutory demand, postal delivery isn't sufficient.

For this, you need a process server to deliver the documents to a company director.

If you can't find them, it becomes very difficult to serve them.

It is possible to obtain a judgement in absentia/claiming you have had service, forcing the part(y/ies) to come forward to dispute this (and they will win) but that will present an opportunity to serve again as documents can then be served on their lawyers/them personally.

Caveats on any properties held in sole (or joint) titles is usually a prudent measure ...

17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Alternatives to Mt Gox on: November 30, 2012, 08:33:19 PM
The factors relevant to providing the right answer to that include:

 - Where are you located (country)?
 - How much are you looking to buy?
 - What payment methods do you have available?
 - How soon do you need access to the proceeds?
 - Is privacy important?

Here's a fairly comprehensive list:

Thanks for the reply Smiley

- Located in Australia
- Varies from 100 coins up to 1000s of coins
- Telegraphic transfers, cash and direct bank deposits (in Australia)
- 3-5 days is usually fine
- Privacy not that important
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Alternatives to Mt Gox on: November 29, 2012, 08:58:12 AM
Hey all,

What are some high volume alternatives to Mt Gox?

I was using Cryptoxchange but now they've gone out of business ..

19  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: What will happen to all the "traditional" mines once the new ASIC based miners on: October 01, 2012, 02:00:01 PM
lol @ greyhawk Smiley

so, market forces will just kill traditional GPU based mining pretty much overnight unless ASIC based is all just a scam?

i really do feel for those that have invested into GPU based mines although i suspect their investment is already paid back if they got into it early enough

20  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / What will happen to all the "traditional" mines once the new ASIC based miners on: October 01, 2012, 09:33:55 AM
What will happen to all the "traditional" mines once the new ASIC based miners hit the market?

Apologies if there is already a thread on this but I searched and couldn't find it easily. I'm a slow reader Smiley
