61  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we should prioritize investment over saving on: January 31, 2024, 05:27:59 AM
Saving our hard earned money have never been a bad idea, but their are certain things we need to consider before thinking of saving, such as inflation.
Inflation is truly the real enemy to every money that is being saved up, because when the time is right like a year time, when it should be used for it purpose, the value wouldn't be as how it actually was when you started saving it, but on the other hand, if we have been investing that money into Bitcoin, land or gold bit by bit, over the course of a year, the value of that your investment would have added additional value compared to our savings that will be eaten up by inflation.
So too me we should think of investing more of our money than saving it, so that  inflation wouldn't eat it up.

We should have an emergency fund in our life so saving is important too, because when you have investment priority but with zero saving you can disrupt your investment strategy. Don't ignore saving some from our income just like we save some portion from our income for investing, long ago I ended up using my investment to pay my medical bill because I didn't have any savings and it was when Bitcoin at a low price made me lose my opportunity to take profit from my target.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do with your altcoin holding with low value on: January 30, 2024, 05:11:25 AM
For those of us that are into altcoin signature campaign and have accumulate some in your wallet, what do you do with it since some of them has low value at the moment if you check their current price?

Do you keep holding it hoping that the price will finally come up since it seems you can't actually trade it with it current value.

Will the altcoin become valueless after the campaign is over or could still gain value after some years.

Most of altcoins in my wallet already had no value at all the project already abandoned by the developer, right now I only leave them in my wallet without any hope the project will continue and there are some altcoins with no value from the start but the dev still update in the group until now I keep my patient and hope it will have some value one day. It's normal to see many new altcoins don't succeed in listing in the market and end up as a trash in our wallets.

64  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share Your Thoughts on the Recent Crypto Price Drop on: January 29, 2024, 06:23:38 AM
During the last week the crypto world has been quite a ride with the price slump we've experienced. With Bitcoin and altcoins taking a notable dip on the 23rd, I'm curious to hear how everyone is coping and how it affected your investments and what your strategies are moving forward considering the upcoming halving.

For the veterans, is this just another cycle, or does it feel different this time? And for the newcomers, how are you handling your first major dip?

Also, how do you think this slump will affect the growth of Bitcoin and altcoins in 2024? Are you adjusting your strategies, or holding firm to your original plans?

It's only a healthy correction in my opinion we are already up 3x from the bottom price in this cycle. Since this is not my first major dip I feel like it's something normal happening, many people expected we're go above 50k$ when the ETF got accepted but in reality we had healthy corrections that don't get affected easily by those who post price analysis in the social media cause their prediction won't 100% accurate. Use your own strategy and don't be greedy
65  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Playing crypto for many years without holding Bitcoin. on: January 29, 2024, 05:52:36 AM
Playing crypto for many years without holding Bitcoin.

~snip~

Well cryptocurrencies not only Bitcoin and Holding Bitcoin is not mandatory so it's fine I guess but at least he knows what is Bitcoin, who created it and the history behind Bitcoin because Bitcoin is like the face of cryptocurrency. It's weird if someone playing crypto without knowing Bitcoin. I love to hold cryptocurrencies but never think to hold 100% my portfolio only Bitcoin.
66  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy BTC NOW? on: January 28, 2024, 02:15:26 AM
No one can tell where the market is exactly heading but regardless of the price of bitcoin, I always think now is the best time to buy bitcoin. Some people may continue to disregard buying bitcoin because they keep on waiting on the perfect time to enter the market until they lost a lot of opportunities because of their mindset.

However, for those who are very positive about bitcoin and have high faith on its potentials, they always see to it that they never miss opportunities to invest and keep DCAing instead to accumulate maximum amount of bitcoin.

A lot of people trust their buy entry to some influencer on the Internet although it's not a bad thing for those who just enter this space but just like you said we never know where the market is heading. Our strategy will determine when we should buy Bitcoin and when we should sell Bitcoin cause many people only see quick profit from Bitcoin. Right now DCA is the best strategy since many speculate that after ETF we will fly above 50k$ but in reality we're back to 40k$.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying house rent with bitcoin is it appropriate? on: January 28, 2024, 02:05:37 AM
Glancing through the article https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-rent-agreement-argentina-landlord-tenant one would conclude adoption is striving in Argentina. Paying for a house with bitcoin sounds to me a mistake or lack of financial knowledge. Bitcoin is better than Fiat. Bitcoin increases in value and fiat faces inflation. Why then would one spend Bitcoin instead of fiat on a house rent which may expire in few years? Accommodating the Bitcoin can birth the person more money to pay his next house rent. But fiat wouldn't add any interest in the bank. Moreover the house owner will not hold the Bitcoin.

We can say it's a good thing and a waste for the tenant, it just depends on our perspective and actually it will be a good one for Bitcoin since it will increase Bitcoin adoption and more people will acknowledge Bitcoin on the other hand the tenant only spend a few Bitcoin for a good purpose which means more adoption. If we want to Bitcoin to grow we should support anyone who wants to pay with Bitcoin or anyone who accepts Bitcoin as payment.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the possibility of discovering a memecoin that could change your life? on: January 28, 2024, 01:36:39 AM

~snip~
The momentum appears robust, with indirect support from Elon Musk for $Troll, while $Smiley boasts a large and supportive community. I'm pondering if it could pull off another Doge. Any meme experts here? What's your perspective on this?

If you want to make your chance more bigger you can invest in all new memecoins with small capital, it's totally based on luck to discover a memecoin that could change our life or you can choose memecoin based on a meme that is already famous. Just like it's name many people make memecoin just for a meme.
69  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not use more than 2x leverage on: January 27, 2024, 02:03:05 AM
~snip~
I think using this low leverage is good for traders. But investors should not use leverage at all. Investors should even supposed not to leave coins on exchanges but moved the coins to a noncustodial wallet.

This is also not applicable to many coins that are very volatile in a way that 1x leverage can even lead to liquidation of asset. See what happened to TRB recently that fall from almost $700 to $125.

I used 20x leverages for small capital when trading Bitcoin and for trading Altcoins, I stay away from using leverage cause I once traded altcoins with leverages and got liquidated in just a day lmao. for big capital it's better for me to trade without any leverage cause mostly I hold it for the long term and waiting the best price to sell. As long as we know the risks it's up to someone if they want to use low leverage or high leverage.
70  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short Term Trading Altcoins and Meme Coins? on: January 27, 2024, 01:49:48 AM
~snip~

Anyone here who trade altcoins and especially memecoins and give insight on this?  Also it's hard to 5x even with altcoins now right?  But memecoins it isn't?  Just the risk is much higher?  Now if you could buy 5 memecoins and one of them 10x and the other ones go to zero... then you profit right?  Also do all memecoins and altcoins go to 0?  Or it's always like $0.01 or $0.0000001?

There are lots of questions but to answer that question in short, yeah many people try their luck on memecoin and some low mcap altcoins because of more risk and more profit for them. They already know the risk and most of them not only go to $0 but also the project discontinued. If you want to invest in altcoins you should know when the altcoin season will start if you want to invest in memecoin it's like gambling and you should be ready to lose your money in just a few days or even a few hours. Just don't be greedy when you trade altcoins and memecoin make sure to set a target to take profit or you will be late to get profit.
71  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long to learn trading? on: January 27, 2024, 01:39:03 AM
I spoke to a tutor who teaches trading, and he said for his lectures, he teaches for an extended period of nine months for anyone who wants to learn trading from him. Please I like to read the personal experience of some traders here, how long did it take you to learn to trade profitably, and what was the hardest thing to learn? did it take you weeks, months or years? Do you think that trading can be learnt well in a short time like three weeks for a quick trader? Can someone who is a proffesional trader just go straight to the point pointing out what is needed to make a successful trader to a newbie to learn quickly?

From my own experience for me to become better at trading, I need to learn for about a year, I learned it from the Internet without anyone guiding me although it's recommended to learn it from someone so we will get a better experience. Also it's not like something that we learn in a few months and we are already good at it we need to experience real trading the more we trade the more our analysis becomes better. For those who want to learn trading and have some friends that good at trading don't be shy to learn from them cause having a teacher is more efficient rather than learning from the Internet.
72  Economy / Economics / Re: Learn to use DEBT in a proper way to create asset on: January 26, 2024, 04:25:47 AM
~snip~

* Bad debt: This is what makes a person suffer, because it is the things that give us liabilities or the ones that decrease in value, such as gadgets and cars. And the common problem with these loans is that you will pay them with high interest.

* Good debt: this is the type of debt that will make a person rich. Or else you will also earn money because, instead of using it for your needs, you will use it to build an asset. Which, if you handle it properly, can give you extra income.

~snip~

Well, I am one of those people who is against debt because whether I use it for good debt or bad debt it will remain in my mind and it will add to my responsibility list to resolve. If we don't have a backup income to pay our debt then it's better to not debt to anyone, dont forget to add risk management skill so you can lower your risk of losing your borrowed money.

What I catch about Good Debt is that more like an investment where we look for investors to invest in our idea. Getting an investor and borrowing money are two different things because if you have an investor you can use the money without feeling chased by someone but if you borrow money its like being chased by someone and under pressure from that person, it will disturb your mind and make a horrible decision.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins profits or bank profits, which best? on: January 26, 2024, 01:00:27 AM
Ok. so when you invest your money in Bank, the bank will use your money however they want and make money with them. and then give you 10% or 15% max anuallly. but bank keep your money in its custody. it controls it and you can't take it back easily without paper work.
But Good thing is Bank will give you full guarantee of your money. and whenever you want youl'll get your full money after completeing the paper work.
And when you invest your money in crypto You will be the one 100% responsible of your crypto as well as have fully control over them. you can decide where to invest them. how to divide them among multiple assets and you can earn way more than what bank gives you. of course investing in crypto bring its own risks too. but I would still prefer investing crypto rather than trusting a bank on my money.

If we know how cryptocurrencies work then it will help us to get profit since many new people in this space only become their exit liquidity. I would say if we invest in altcoin when the altcoin season ends we could end up losing our money rather than getting our profit so I would prefer to invest in the bank when the altcoin season ends. Overall cryptocurrencies still gave me the best profit so far so it's only how we use it using our experience and how to use the best momentum, as long as we don't become greedy most likely we won't lose our money easily.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top altcoin that you won't buy anymore on: January 26, 2024, 12:05:49 AM
This is my advice you can shifted another coins because there are many top altcoins so It's your own research which will be best revenge. At this time if you can buy top coin then no need to wait very long time because we're nearly bull market. There are many coin price will rising in bull market so just for now you can buy dip price top altcoins for next bull.
I once bought a coin that, judging from the CMC rank, was very far from the top 100. and it was my fault that in the end I suffered a huge loss because the coin was unable to develop and become a dragon.
Therefore, starting from this experience, for now I only choose to invest in coins that are in the top 10 of CMC and hope that the price will rise in the next bullrun. didn't expect the worms to turn into dragons again.

It's not enough I guess to see only if they're in the top 10 of Coinmarketcap because there are some altcoins that were once in the top 10 but ended up in a bad performance after a few years, in my opinion its better if we buy altcoins before altcoin season and sell when altcoin season ended because holding altcoins for long term won't give us certainty in the future compare to Bitcoin.
75  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make money on cryptocurrencies without investment? on: January 25, 2024, 02:03:08 AM
I'm just a newbie and I don't have other opportunities to make money irl because of my place of living and age. I tried already bounties and airdrops, but I'm not lucky in it. Thanks for your advices!!!

On my school days, I don't have any money left to invest in Cryptocurrencies and I started with zero Investment, it's a long way but as long as we are diligent and patient we can earn to invest in some good cryptocurrencies and I learned trading from the money I earn for a long time. I started with Faucet for a few months and after that I started with Airdrops and after Airdrop I found this Forum and started looking for Bounties. Right now most of my time I'm just doing Trading cause I already know how to trade although I'm not pro at it but what I earn from trading is much bigger rather than Airdrops, Bounties, and faucets combined.
76  Economy / Economics / Re: Imagine African countries using Bitcoin to pay salaries, on: January 25, 2024, 01:57:22 AM
I don't know if the government of any African country have adopted the system of paying salaries in Bitcoin, but I know here is Nigeria they haven't, it's possible to pay employees using Bitcoin or other crypto currencies ,
With the services of some crypto currency payroll agencies  like Bitwage, papaya global, ontop,  which will make it possible for the government to pay their workers in Bitcoin or other crypto currencies and can be sent  into their digital wallet,
Since it has to do with the government another agency can be set up in the country in respect to paying salaries as Bitcoin which will somehow help in the growth of the economy of the country.

If we want to Africa start paying salaries in Bitcoin they should expand their Internet scope cause what I know is not the majority of African people can't access the Internet tho. Rather than expecting African countries to start paying salaries in Bitcoin in a short time their people are already able to earn Crypto online in many ways and it will boost their knowledge about cryptocurrencies.
77  Economy / Economics / Re: The savings problem on: January 25, 2024, 12:54:05 AM
~snip~
Purchasing power has only been getting worse from generation to generation, and thus being able to make any savings is already a distant dream for most. Younger people just keep working more for less, to s point now where mostworking people can't put even a single dollar aside.

Could there be a solution for these issues? Economists have long argued about the strengths and failures of our economic system, but alas it appears as though "trickle down economics" has failed humanity.

So, do you agree that radical changes are needed?

I agree that Purchasing Power is getting worse each generation, based on this site Inflation Calculator, 1$ dollar in 1900 is now equal to $0.03. It's crazy to see how much our dollar getting worse each generation and there are no real solutions for this, in my opinion, what we can do is we should not waste on anything like food, gases, technology, electricity, water, etc. Many young people these days love to waste many things and we should change this habit from our kids so the next generation should value for what they have.
