Something else that is irking the hell out of me, is regardless whats going on, its is against the law for any one affiliated with an exchange to even come close to steering or having any influence on whats being traded what so ever. I guess now we know what coins 'potentially' have been created by or with help of the insiders as they are the ones being 'said' to be easily used to 'get out' |

What i think Digi need a lot of is PR and marketing.
The devs answered this a while ago, you may not have seen it. They want the fundamentals in place before they start advertising. If we start gaining attention before then the impact will be reduced, as some of their plans will not be completed. I agree with this approach as it will be longer lasting, further reaching, and overall more effective. Those calling for immediate PR campaigns usually just want a quick buck. If you are not comfortable holding for a few months/years, then I suggest you sell, or reduce your dgb to a comfortable amount. There are plenty of P&D shitcoins around to play with. Dgb developers walk-the-walk before they talk-the-talk. That's why I like this team. Agree, but regular news about the developments are very welcome , Like the DRK team , they are on top of updates And update the website, Believe you cannot trade DGB on Poloniex anymore, don't know if others are working ( besides Cryptsy and Bittrexx ) , but a bit strange DGB is on Polo still. |

What is the advantage of Digibyte Core over Digibit?
Digibyte Core requires you to download the entire blockchain; whereas, Digibit does not.

Thats essentially the bulk of it. Digibyte core will always start blockchain sync from block 0 (unless you have the bootstrap.dat file I posted earlier). Digibit can be updated with checkpoint files so that it can start syncing at bassically any point in the chain. Digibit will also only download the "Blockchain Headers" which means it will use less data and be a much faster sync overall. Digibyte Core supports some more advanced features that Digibit doesnt. Examples of this would be Multisig Address Support (ie DGBWallet.com). All in all Digibit is more aimed towards the newer user who doesnt want to download the entire blockchain but still wants to accept/send digibyte. If you have the choice and don't need to immediately receive or send Digibyte then I would suggest downloading the core client. Cheers. Just a note to those self-rioteous people who think that investors are a "problem" : Get over yourself.
You may live in some fantasy world where money doesn't matter or you may be independently wealthy. Most people don't and aren't. They are looking out for their own interests because they have to.
Cryptocurrencies whether they are DGB or BTC itself will only grow by getting more people on board. They will not grow by people holding onto their coins indefinitely and waiting for something magical to happen.
DGB is meant to be a currency not an investment asset. A currency only grows when people use it.
Right now the only real place to use DGB is on exchanges and that is a big problem but if those people who are currently buying or selling DGB weren't doing what they are doing DGB would already be dead.
The way to grow DGB is to get new people on board and that will only happen with new features and more places to use it. Right now DGB doesn't have anything sufficiently attractive versus more traditional payment methods for the average person on the street. It may seem to for those of us in the crypto-community but this is a small niche.
I speak from personal experience of trying to get friends on board with cryptocurrencies.
Most of them, even those who are technically minded, don't care.
Until we can find a way to make them care and take notice, cryptocurrencies like DGB (and even BTC itself to a degree) will remain the domain of people who simply use them as a means to make money via speculation.

I think DGB/USD is a nice idea, I dont think it's going to be an 'instant game changer'. I see many exchanges offering the pairing of USD mkts, and they just don't get the vol that many think they would pre-release. I do however think it's without question a valuable addition. I would also like to see AUD/JPY/CNY/HKD/CAN/GBP/EURO , I'm sure down the road, that will be available by many avenues also. All in due time.
