1162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi controlling 500'000 BTC on: October 12, 2017, 03:46:25 AM
He owns around 1 million, as the rumors say. It's a little concerning because he can literally influence the price on his own. Him dumping all those coins simultaneously will almost certainly cause a freefall, and might make even more holders dump in response. This is all speculation, of course, since no one really knows him and exactly how much he's holding.
He's been inactive for few years and there's no sign of living creatures in his "identified" address either (LOL), people might worry and speculate as much as they can but it seems that everything will be fine.
If you figured out, so many people always watching the satoshi's identified address and once the bitcoin there is moved, there'll be a massive news about it and people could make decisions on their own.
But, just if I think twice, it might be a problem indeed.
1163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Gold, Price Speculation on: October 12, 2017, 03:36:37 AM
such as BCH when first enter the market, at bittrex initial price of 0.003btc .. and slowly the price starts up to peak at the price of 0.4xxxbtc. but may be the same as BCH in the next time.
I guess the case of bitcoin gold will be really different with BCH, the hype will not get repeated for the 2nd time, so many people are buying BCH and expecting it to have the same value as bitcoin soon after the difficulty of the BCH blockchain adjusted.
But bitcoin gold, people have learned that every forked cryptocurrency will never worth as the same as the original one, might have lower value than BCH.
1164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Staking Coin Consume Much Electricity on: October 12, 2017, 03:34:21 AM
Just build a PC with a possible efficient hardware in the market and you'll be fine. Even though, AFAIK a computer that's idle will consume a little electric power, the processor, RAM, and many components are adjusting its clock speed to its most minimum to not wasting electricity consumption. So basically, staking is consuming electricity, but not that much, just a little. It's really different with mining though, mining often make your rigs' speed clock to its peak.

1166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should ICOs be regulated as IPOs? on: October 11, 2017, 02:39:49 AM

No way. That ruins the crypto world and its decentralized nature. Yes, some ICO's scam and some steal from the investors, but that is something we have to learn to live with. The benefits of decentralization way overpower the issues. This is the line we must draw in the sand and never cross. If people fear being scammed, then simply avoid the ICO markets. It is better in the long run to keep to our values and not falter.

The main issue isn't being scammed (regulation doesn't do as much as it claims to prevent that), the problem is mostly about the legality of the funds.
There is still a way to keep things mostly decentralized and still have regulation.
Regarding the legality of the funds, KYC simply solved this, and there are also many projects that take an advice from a legal advisor to comply with the government rules. By that, I assume, there'll be no more problem regarding the legality of the funds and at the same time, could prevent money laundering.
However from my opinion, the regulation doesn't make the ICO's asset centralized, it's just regulating in such region.
1167  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why the bitcoin goes up so high? on: October 11, 2017, 02:36:09 AM
I'm 80% sure that this trend because of the upcoming fork, like what bitcoin cash do tho people are not much aware from that fork and they did panic but this time as a lesson from the previous fork, more people  are aware and invest and buy bitcoin for the B2X - Bitcoin gold fork.
More people believe that this B2X wil be a free money like bitcoin cash.
Got the same opinion here, so many people are hyped by the upcoming fork due to bitcoin gold, probably they think it's the chance for free money that will probably never come again in the future repeating the success of bitcoin cash as a money machine.
But, the acceptance of Japan toward BTC and the Malaysian regulatory that soon will announce their regulation regarding bitcoin also few of many factors.
1168  Economy / Speculation / Re: mining difficulty and hash rate - should i care about it as a trader? on: October 11, 2017, 01:21:28 AM
As a trader, you don't really need to care, all that matter is the price of bitcoin that you were traded. But, just for your information, there will be difficulty adjustment every 2000 blocks(?), if the hash rate significantly dropped, same goes for the difficulty, making the speed of confirmation not affected by the hash rate. if the hash rate increasing, the difficulty also increases, it's all already planned from the start to solve that problem.
By the way, hard to say that difficulty and hash rate have some kind of relation to the bitcoin price, but maybe, if the difficulty is awkwardly so high, bitcoin will become more valuable.
1169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offline Wallets Vs Online Wallets on: October 11, 2017, 01:16:07 AM
I personally suggest Online wallets than offline wallets, because no.1 you can keep your private keys and seed password without browsing the internet, unlike online wallets just be extra careful when putting a url address
Let me fix your statement,
You prefer offline wallets than online wallets by seeing the reason you mentioned above.

in general offline wallet may be safer than with online wallet but they have their respective weaknesses so that we need not be afraid to use them
The weakness or disadvantage of offline wallets is that it's not synced to any online devices so that you can't use it anytime, but safer, that's it.
1170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin goes past $5000, what will the Chinese government do? on: October 11, 2017, 01:11:02 AM
china may be presently regret for leaving bitcoin, maybe china will again choose bitcoin, after know bitcoin price craze. in my opinion china's decision is very stupid ,,
That's not going to happen, my friend, China when at the time they discuss that regulation, have thought about the consequences caused by their movement, as I see, China just trying to keep their economy controlled and get rid of bitcoin without even care about the value of bitcoin. Do you think China has some kind of cryptocurrency investment before they release the regulation? I think not.
They just have one purpose, to keep their economy controlled.
1171  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 millon for a Bitcoin is this fiction or reality? on: October 10, 2017, 01:11:18 PM
Well the fact it hasn't happened yet shows that it's fiction. And realistically the likelihood if it ever happening is minute at best, that isn't to say however that it can't happen. It would just require everything to go pretty much perfectly in terms of bitcoin progression and adoption.
Hasn't happened doesn't mean it's fiction, for a flash information here's the exact meaning of "fiction"
Quote
literature in the form of prose, especially short stories and novels, that describes imaginary events and people.
If you see above, fiction is basically an imaginary event, but, bitcoin still have the chance to worth $1 Million dollars, why? because it hasn't happened yet, that's it. There are still many possibilities for that to come and by seeing the significant growth of bitcoin as well. By that, you can conclude that bitcoin to worth $1 Million is not an imaginary even unless there's no chance left.
1172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who can destroy Bitcoin ? on: October 10, 2017, 01:04:29 PM
It has come to a point that no one can destory it. They can stop exchange but now concepts like Kyber will allow no one to stop it and everyone still can trade, buy and sell
Practically, that is what people said about bitcoin and the advantages of its decentralized system, however, if people can't destroy bitcoin, then they could just make the value of bitcoin goes lower by spreading FUD.
it has often done by many people probably involved into a trading community to lure beginner traders to become panic and by that they can gain the opportunity of buying bitcoin at a low price, I know it can't be considered as destroying bitcoin, but, making the condition of bitcoin community in chaos.
1173  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [ANN][ICO] VIBEHub | Pasar dan Hub Virtual Reality Berbasis Kripto on: October 10, 2017, 07:27:30 AM

1178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why should governments allow bitcoin to continue grow? on: October 09, 2017, 04:54:09 AM
Actually the government doesn't do anything about growing of bitcoin and they don't allow it to grow since if all people are going to use the bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies the government will grow slower since most of people are not going to pay taxes because if you work in cryptocurrency your are anonymous and also bitcoin can be used to hide illegal works such as money laundering and also maybe bitcoin can be use to buy drugs, and illegal weapons.

This is incredibly incorrect.

First, cryptocurrency isn't really anonymous, particularly if someone is working in the industry.

Second, governments can still assess taxes if you don't pay them. Governments are able to know what lifestyle you live and compare that to the income you would need to support the lifestyle. If your reported income isn't the same as that which supports your lifestyle the tax agencies will accuse you of not reporting all of your income.
The very moment that you exchanged your btc to fiat will make the government have their ways to implement taxes I'm sure they allow crypto to continue because they seeing that their people are earning from it and the more their people get wealthier the more they will spend it inside their jurisdictions I hope more government look at this way so we will enjoy crypto currencies.
That's the rules of being a citizen of a country from the start guys, deal with it or leave the country. the taxes is such a vital income for almost all the countries in this world and thus the citizens were forced since then to pay the taxes.
After that, the citizens also have the benefit of using the facility that government give to the citizens, the only reason why country need income is to always improve the facility and making sure about the life quality of its citizens right?
