Simple proof the Earth is flat:

1. Get a smartphone with a gyroscope chip (i.e. iPhone or Galaxy).

2. Install a gyroscope application that logs the output.

3. Run the application and start logging the output.

4. Use duct tape to secure the phone to the dashboard of your car.

5. Drive across the worlds longest bridge.

6. You now possess documented proof the world is flat.

I think you missed my post. Waiting for an answer explaining that.

Also how to you explain the force that keeps us on the ground on a flat earth.

And have you done the above experiment? If yes what were the results give us the outputs. And how do you come to know that the earth is flat from this experiment please explain.

a) In regards to perspective a simple answer is things appear really small at great distances and any light from such a small source is too dim to penetrate the atmosphere.

b) Objects more dense than the medium they occupy fall, less dense objects rise e.g. a block of wood will fall in air and rise in water. There's a reactionary force when the medium is displaced and this is what holds you to the ground.

c) The worlds longest bridge is in China and I don't live there but those who do and perform the experiment will find the log shows no net curvature at the end of the journey. If the Earth's surface is curved then the driver will be going in an arc while the gyroscope remains level, the experiment is that simple.

a) The source isn't too small its simply far that is why it seems small to you, and it seeming small would it no way affect how how much light can penetrate the atmosphere.

b) Density won't work if there was no gravity. I will try to make this as simple as possible, what is density? It is the amount of mass in in a unit volume. Why do denser things sink (ie. block of wood falls in air)? The amount of mass in a unit volume of air is far less than that of the block of wood, so a greater force acts on the total block of wood due to gravity than on the same volume of air which is why the block displaces that air and falls. In short, without gravity or whatever you want to call it, ie without a external force, difference in density won't make any difference, the block won't fall. This also explains why if you put a block of wood on a weighing scale which is made out of denser material like a metal you can see the amount of force acting on that block of wood.

c) I don't understand this gyroscope thing please explain more. Also one fun fact for you, while building this really long bridge the curvature of the earth had to be taken into account by the Chinese which is normally so small that it can be ignored but in this case the bridge was so big it had to be taken into account.

Also how does the day and night cycle happen on a flat earth??

And BADecker just ignore nomad13666, ignorance and stupidity can't be cured. He clearly can't answer my questions on his theory and belief so decides to attack me and then ignores me shows he has already accepted defeat.

a) Things don't just seem smaller you can get out a ruler and measure their apparent size. In the case of a light it gets smaller and dimmer the further away it is and you can't fucking argue this fact.

b) Not an augment,  you're just rambling incoherently.

c) Plot the output of the gyro log and you can see the bridge doesn't have any curve.

As for day and night your falure to comprehend perspective also prevents you from understanding how this works.
You just busted yourself XD "apparent size" This is exactly what I was trying to say, the object doesn't get smaller its apparent size gets smaller which in no way affects how light interacts with that object. So yes from any point on earth you will be able to see the tallest mountain ie mount Everest, on a flat earth. Also the light produced by fireworks is bright enough to be seen from far away and if the earth was flat you could see it from any point. Also ever been to a beach? If you stand on any beach you should be able to see some other landmass given the earth is flat. No matter which beach.

Anyways, explain day and night unless of course you are trying to avoid getting busted. According to you I won't be able to understand it okay fine, but others will understand so post it for them.

And my point b was a perfect explanation but you are just being ignorant. Tell me how do denser objects decide what direction is down? Why don't denser objects go up? There has to be a force acting on all objects for density to work.

Bonus questions, what is the flat earth explanation on space? like is earth just floating in space without any force acting on it? And what about the stars that we see at night are they spherical or flat? Is the moon flat? Is the sun flat?

EDIT: Just read your previous post. "over a curve the horizon would also be curved" On a flat earth there should be no horizon, think about it, if the earth was flat you would be able to see indefinitely and therefore no horizon. What is a horizon? the line at which the earth's surface and the sky appear to meet, this would NEVER happen on a flat earth but only on a spherical earth

^^^ LOL

Fool us once, shame on you.

Fool us twice, shame on us.

Ain't gonna happen, goof.

Earth is a flat, stationary plane.

Research it or fuck off.

I researched about flat earth.

Didn't find one thing that explained the day and night cycle on a flat earth.

Just ignore the idiot. His points have been debunked already.

Flat Earthers do not recognize the fundamentals of classical physics. There is no way to have genuine, productive dialogue with them.

I have been ignoring flat earthers but I guess I will give it one try to help notbatman, because maybe just maybe he might be able to understand.

And youtube isn't even a reliable source of information because any person can make a video which can't be taken as facts, so find a scientific source of information and facts.
47  Other / Off-topic / Re: Flat Earth on: July 16, 2017, 06:37:32 AM
notbatman,

I can prove it to you that the earth is not flat given you are ready to accept facts, unlike other ignorant flat-earthers, ready to use logic and not be biased.

When you say facts I'm assuming you mean 3rd party information that can't be independently verified padded with appeals to authority and thinly veiled ad hominem attacks.

In any case let's see what you've got!

I won't attack you XD

Since you most probably won't even consider anything that I say which has the things which have already been proven to be true by scientists all over the globe over a lot of years I will try to not use these "3rd party information"

Lets start simple, go to an open area like a really big ground and look around you should be able to see the Mount Everest since it is amazing tall and on a flat earth everything will be in line of sight, even if you don't live in the usa on the 4th of July your sky should have been lit assuming the earth is flat, this is clearly not possible on a earth that is not flat.

I will wait for your response either accepting that you can't prove this is wrong or proving it wrong.

Perspective and the atmosphere limit the distance that objects are visible.

Mind explaining perspective, I didn't get it.

And as for the atmosphere limit, the map given by the flat-earth people places in the mount Everest in such a place that it should be visible from any land mass.  The limit to which light can travel without being so distorted that the object is not visible is a lot more.

nomad13666, are you too stupid to research about theories that prove the earth is not flat? I guess you are. And since you don't have a answer to what I wrote before you simply decide to attack me, such a typical response from people when they fail.

A note to all the people who search on youtube and then post that search link, if you want to provide some fact or research put the link to the video not the search link because that search link is worthless and is not proof.

But in the end do what you please, I will only have one more idiot to ignore that's it.

not the best moment to buy 'alt coins' but a great time to buy btc since whales can see that the btc price is going to grow more and therefore cashing out from alt coins, although eth seems strong.
