-the app crashes any time I try to open "preferences"
Hmmm.... Didn't notice that. What version of OSX? I built on el-capitan... The next time I get a chance with a Mac I can look at cleaning up, but at least it's making keys and talking to the servers... Thanks for testing! oh, that could be it. i'm still on 10.9.5 "mavericks" is usually wait a month or two before upgrading to new OS releases

Could someone with a Mac download and try the new Electrum wallet for Mac? Gekko, you game for that? https://cryptap.us/uno/electrum/If it works like the Windows version it should make the Mac users very happy. It disintermediates users from conf files and all of that other stuff they don't want to see. i downloaded it, but there's no app to launch included in the download...just a bunch of odd files and folders upon quick glance, it seems that everything required for the app is there, but i'm not sure how to make it happen. and i can guarantee that any possible workaround is going to be much more intimidating to a basic user than dropping a .conf file in the unobtanium folder to get QT to sync. Mac binaries are not available (yet). I need to find a mac to play with.... If you're handy with python and brew I think it's possible to run it but if not sit tight for a bit longer.. OK, stole a mac for a couple of hours and have an OSX dmg file for download now. nice! it launches and receives/sends two quirks i noticed: -you need to go to Tools -> Network and check the box for "Auto-Connect" before it will work. -the app crashes any time I try to open "preferences"

we should hang out on cryptocat more often. i'm gonna start leaving a tab open with it on the unobtanium channel semi-regularly, since i'm online all the time anyway.
|
|
|
yeah, we need to figure out who their distributor is, figure out when they release their next batch, and one of us get our local beer spot to get a case.

had an awesome time on cryptocat! sorry i missed the last hour or so we should definitely hang out again tho!!! any time, same channel

sellbook is currently much meatier on bittrex than it is on cryptsy
Uno is rare across all exchanges right now. This is Bittrex sell side at this moment, and as you can see there's not much meat there right now. And that's probably the market with the most aggressive sell side. 2 BTC puts it at 008 I don't think the sell side is going to come out until we back up in the 0075-0085's. Uno hodlers are a patient crew and we know these 005 prices are an opportunity. when i wrote that there was something like 125kg for sale at 007...looks like someone pulled the sell order

anyone else getting bored with the .006's? time to move up to the 7s
|
|

we should really start moving majority of trading to bittrex

Are you trying to buy with BTC or fiat?
I'm guessing that fiat will always require identity papers.
With BTC not fiat since I don't have any usd or euros I was not aware that you needed a verified account to trade any amount of BTC at cryptsy. but yeah, go with bittrex, i don't think they even have any verified accounts at all

boring day for UNO. appropriate that this is the first rainy day we've had where i live in many months.
wish i had all the money so i could buy all the Un. I'm overdue for a metal purchase, tho, so not gonna be taking any chunk out of the sell orders this pay cycle.
hey, when is that conference thing in NYC that Blazr is going to?

Pace and patience aren't issues siameze. We're not trying to pressure, simply make people aware. They can invest in UNO tomorrow, in 10 years or not at all. I'm not trying to encourage a pump, but to ensure steady progress. It's actually a good fit, I was talking to bullionbob in the cryptsy chat and he said "I've traded UNO for 1.5 years, it has always been good to me but it is a slow coin." It's slow so it's good for Argentina Don't know if we have any German speakers amongst us, but a significant number of Argentines are actually part of the greater German diaspora - something else for you all to consider. pretty sure gustav or v500 did a german post a while back. i haven't kept up with it tho, because i don't speak german

its a fine line between sounding like you're just talking about something, and sounding like you're selling them something. any advice on how to do this online or IRL would be appreciated. I have friends who are tech savvy and invest in things, but I haven't yet brought up Unobtanium because I don't want to blow it. It'll happen one of these days, but its gotta come up naturally in conversation. I imagine the same would be true to nudging our way into foreign markets

finally made another buy! very happy the market stayed in the .006's just for me

Excellent responses, and yes, as Siameze just said, if you are already backing up your wallet as you have to do with each and every coin.... what is the issue with editing the .conf file? It takes only a minute. I'd assume if one cannot find where to place a new config file, they also have never even backed up their wallet. That's a scary thought. you don't need to to find that folder to back up your wallet. under the "File" menu of the app there is an option for "Backup Wallet" that just makes a copy of the wallet.dat to wherever you point it to save.

UNO is #2 in volume on Bleutrade today due to a large sell order placed at 0.0061. There's still some left. Won't take much more volume to put it at #1, it's a small exchange so that isn't hard to do, but it's always good for exposure.
damn, i wanted that chunk so bad, but my BTC order hasn't come thru yet. hope theres still some cheap uno left for me when coins arrive. haven't been able to make an uno buy for a couple months now

I'm on a mac and my wallet is working fine....using Pnoch's build v0.10.0.0-gf8e2039-preMM (64-bit)
I wrote out a post for him a few pages back on how to get it to work. Its very easy: put FallingKnife's unobtanium.conf file in user/Library/ApplicationSupport/Unobtanium and it will work.
The only funny business is that with the latest few versions of OSX it defaults to hide the library folder and you have to do something to make it visible. anyone can google "show library folder OSX" and find out how to do this though. its not fucking rocket science, but i dunno, maybe all these words i am saying just do not register in mind of a cave man?
I agree that in a perfect world it should work straight away "out of the box" but this isn't a perfect world and mac users are 3rd in line for experimental software like unobtanium-qt
just please, gekko, if your little monkey mind can get this to work, please continue shutting the fuck up and, if you must speak up, only talk about things related to unobtanium/trading. also ask yourself how many drinks you've had before you click "Post." You can always just leave the tab open, close ur macbook, and re-read it in the morning.
I have added you to my btctalk web of trust simply because these comments prove you have some brains, Krypto Superdog. Even for a mac user lol. i'm just a superdog who knows how to google stuff and sign up for forums when i don't find the answer.
