1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is responsible for the fluctuation in the bitcoin price? on: February 16, 2026, 05:01:42 PM
The volatility is caused me liquidated not the volume or size. While we might look like we are trillion dollar big thing, it is not really that big when you look at the liquidity of the places.

It means at exchanges we have billions trading at most, and when you have that, even a few hundred millions dollars being sold within the same hour impacts the price a lot. And considering sometimes that does happen even with just retail investors selling and futures liquidated, when whales get involved it's even easier.
But wouldn't it be more logical if it was about supply and demand and big players like whales or institutions playing it here? As common knowledge is that demand and supply influence prices, but in another story I have heard that there are exchanges that sell position data to their traders and it could be that the liquidation scheme carried out by market makers is a reason why liquidation is an important part in influencing price volatility.
2  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it enough to just understand financial management? on: February 16, 2026, 03:56:20 PM
As a person, I believe you cannot claim to have understood anything if you have not practicalized it, make some mistakes and learned from them. Theory is easy, almost everyone knows the theory of financial literacy but you don't see them acting in that regard because it is one thing to know it and another thing to apply it efficiently.

Good understanding of financial management should be a testimony of a long-term application of financial management principles, you cannot claim to fully understand something you never experimented, head knowledge alone is flawed, experiences is the best way to validate knowledge.
Of course, if you only understand the theory but don't implement it, it will just be wasted knowledge. Implementation is very important because that means you can have experience and know how financial management works and validate a money management theory. This is related, but what is certain is that you have to have the money so that there is money that can be managed well from it. If you don't have the money, then why understand it, right?
3  Economy / Economics / Re: AI has come to make people become lazy on: February 16, 2026, 03:35:01 PM
I was using one of the AI tools to do some graphic design and it came out so beautiful as a result. I was very happy with the result I got through AI because creating it, it wasn't stressful and the result was productive.

Normally, if you give me a computer device to do graphic design I wont be able to perform it better but with AI it was success. Since AI can give me good graphic design, I dont think it will have that urge to go learn graphic design.  I think AI already have the result of what people are supposed to do with their hands. There wont be reason to learn or to work because AI can give people what they want without stress.
There are many impacts that can be obtained from the existence of AI, one of which is that people become lazy, I agree with you, such as the many garbage posts made by members on the forum that make this forum no longer natural as a result of their own thoughts and writings, this is nothing but using AI because they are lazy to think and write, and like your case, doing work is easier by using AI by just writing a few words to make it, And the positive impact in other fields is that we can work faster to get data and sentence structure that is more understandable, especially those that are already available in multiple languages so that it is also interesting as a discussion partner, with the existence of AI we are required to work faster and better, this depends on the users themselves to be able to have an impact on being lazy or working better with the presence of AI now.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Been addicted is chaos to one's state entirely on: February 16, 2026, 03:02:00 PM
I didn't quite get the gist of it. This OP post is a statement of fact about the dangers of addiction. But the behavior of OP's friends is not clear to me. These friends are some kind of tempters. Why do they do this if they know that a person is trying to limit himself in relation to gambling? The motives of these friends are unclear to me. Aren't they the reason for the difficulty of quitting gambling addiction?
It could be that the OP didn't tell his friends that he wanted to quit gambling to get rid of his addiction so that his friends still considered the OP as his gambling partner as usual, we can assume like this if the situation was like that, if he had told his gambling friends maybe they wouldn't have offered the OP to try the game again.

To treat addiction, one of them is avoiding the gambling environment, that is one of the keys and this is the reason why professionals always recommend private rehabilitation.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 16, 2026, 02:33:12 PM

The team certainly wasn't ready and surprised Napoli, but when they got back into the game they were able to hold their own against Roma, and that wasn't easy. I'm honestly a little disappointed that Napoli's players, being strong, weren't able to win this match. They won't have the chance to get back into the league again.
Roma's success in thwarting Napoli to win three points this week is an obstacle for Napoli to be in second place closer, if we see before Napoli only had a difference of 1 point with Milan and now because of the draw Napoli has a difference of 3 points, this is not getting closer but further away because now Milan is 3 points ahead of Napoli, not to add Milan has a pending match in round 24, if Milan manages to win against Como then the difference will be 6 points from Napoli.
For the Scudetto itself, it looks like Inter Milan will take this season because they managed to have a very large difference in the standings.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Do Rich People Think About Money Differently? on: February 15, 2026, 09:42:37 PM
He is one of the richest people and was once ranked as the richest person in the world in terms of total assets and money, but he said something like this:

"Whoever said 'money can't buy happiness' really knew what they were talking about," Elon Musk wrote in a post on X on Thursday with a sad-face emoji.

Yes, we may not know how he felt at that time, which was the background to his writing. It was simply the outpouring of the richest man, and he certainly had a specific intention. But we can conclude that it could be like that. The happiness he meant isn't being able to buy anything and do whatever you want, but we can guess what money can't buy "time", time with family, and quiet moments with a good night's sleep without having to worry about the prospects of the business he's working on before bed.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Savers are losing purchasing power quietly! on: February 15, 2026, 09:23:46 PM
Purchasing power is how much commodities your money can buy.

One area that is less talked about is how saving money in the bank can slowly reduce its value over time.

If a commodity can be bought for a certain amount and the price of that commodity increases, the value of your money would have been reduced by the increased amount.

When money is saved in your account, annual interest is accrued at a certain percentage, but people do not consider the inflationary rate which is always at a higher percentage.

In a nutshell your money buys less commodities.

This is how persons lose money, not because it is stolen, when it is left in the bank, prices are rising rapidly, much more than the interest rates.
Inflation is a thief in the daytime, without anyone knowing it and without anyone realizing it, once they know that the saver's money is being stolen they also cannot do anything because the fiat system is doing it, therefore those who are already aware of it will look for places to invest in order to maintain the value of their money over time, therefore every year Gold has increased in price, bitcoin is loyal every 4 years also increases printing new ATH and land or other property prices increase, of course this is the reason why these assets increase in price.

In the book Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki even describes it as “Robbers”
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2025/26 Season on: February 15, 2026, 01:55:41 PM
I can only talk about what Aston Villa can do in the competition, i don't know about Porto, Roma or any other club in the tournament, I'm expecting a Premier League club to be in the final, it doesn't seem to be Nottingham, while Aston Villa are keeping up to standard, i'm believing they are favorites for the league title.
As a league follower I suggest you also read how other teams compete because it will be very useful especially if you like betting, your insight will be broader regarding the course of the league, when we only focus on one team our view will be narrow, for this season Aston Villa is indeed the favorite, even on this forum I often read that many people believe in Aston Villa, Unai Emery really deserves this kind of attention with Aston Villa's performance this season, currently it is just a hope that we have not yet seen how the results will be because we have seen matches from other teams such as Lyon, Betis, Porto and Roma can also be the executioners to stop Aston Villa.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your hope from the day you stake your prediction, did you lose or win? on: February 15, 2026, 01:27:14 PM
Anyone who bets for the first time definitely has the hope of winning that bet, no matter how small or big their hopes are, like me, I was skeptical about winning and losing from the first time I bet because I only guessed based on my instincts and I thought "I might be lucky", indirectly there will be a feeling of hope for that bet.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: February 15, 2026, 01:00:00 PM
Real Madrid secured a very easy victory, but both penalties awarded to Real were very cheap. If the same situation had happened to Real Sociedad, would the referee have awarded such an easy penalty? I highly doubt it.
Sometimes, decisions can vary depending on the team.
Real Sociedad was in good form, but they suffered a 4-1 defeat yesterday. Real won with goals, but they didn't play good football.

Where is the injustice in your opinion? Vini was clearly fouled in the penalty box by a Real Sociedad player, the referee's decision was correct to give a penalty here, so I hope you correct your sentence about this, because clearly the referee made the right decision.

Real Sociedad have been good in recent weeks but they have not been able to beat Real Madrid, BTW I really like Valverde's goal outside the penalty area. Cool
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany DFB Cup 2025/2026 - Discussion and Prediction on: February 14, 2026, 08:46:31 PM
I know ambition from Bayern Munich to win DFB Pokal Cup but don't underestimate the defending champion last season Stuttgart can giving surprise with Bayern of for Leverkusen. After the quarter final already playing, now entering the semifinal match and waiting for drawing but I want to see the defending champion Stuttgart not face Bayern in the semifinal round more expect both team will face in the final

DFB Pokal semifinal match will play two months later but its crucial moment if Bayern qualify higher round in  Champion league can't fully focus for playing well at DFB Pokal match, although Bayern is the most favorable team but I still favorite the defending champion Stuttgart defend DFB Pokal trophy.
This means that this season will be the end for Stuttgart as the defending champion in the DFB Pokal, I am very confident with the ability that Bayern Munich has today that they will definitely be able to reach the final. Another speculation is that Bayern Munich can still be beaten but not all teams can do it, except when Munich is experiencing defeat and has many core players injured, they could be beaten by another team in the league Bundesliga between the 3 teams, if the opponent is lucky to get Munich in bad condition they will definitely succeeded.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2025/2026 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: February 14, 2026, 08:28:58 PM

they’ll probably fail to win the title again. it is a disgrace either way. After wasting all that cash, the football is really eye bleeding. Half the goals come from set pieces. No stars, no exciting players. all boring plays...
They have a star player, namely the Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres, unfortunately he is not productive at Arsenal and is just an ordinary striker, unlike in the previous team he has good performance and Bukayo Saka is also a star player at Arsenal, but it is a shame that Arsenal do not have many players who are able to build attacks directly, goals scored from set pieces are indeed their success but unfortunately they are not accompanied by other goals that should be created, as I said they do not have players who can pass in the central midfield so it is very difficult get good passes for the attacking players.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2025/26 on: February 14, 2026, 08:12:56 PM

The match starts between Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad. In the last five matches, Real Sociedad has a pretty good history, 4 wins and one draw and Real Madrid is very good, the last 5 matches have had perfect results, the odds offered by the bookie show that Real Madrid is predicted to win.

And the formation used by Real Madrid is different from the previous 2 weeks, it seems they changed it again and on this occasion the attackers were pulled back, 4-3-1-2 is the mainstay now, but on the contrary I think that the formation created by Real Sociedad is a formation that is generally used for a strong defensive strategy, they have more players at the back and leave one Oyarzabal for their attacks followed by Soler behind him, this will of course be quite difficult for Real Madrid to score goals because Real Madrid midfielders Sociedad will not be far from its defensive line.

But as I type Real Madrid launched a quick attack in the early minutes which Garcia managed to take advantage of and score a goal, the score is 1-0 for Real Madrid.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A recent gambling tragedy that newspapers haven't published on: February 14, 2026, 06:43:50 PM
Just read this, and found it to be relevant for this sub: 175k+ lost gambling, no friends, dad is dead

Tl; dr: Guy saved money by working >> tragedies happened (dad, cousin died) >> found a gambling site >> tried to escape the trauma by gambling and lost everything. Regret.
I honestly feel sorry for someone who experiences something like this and uses gambling as an escape from the stress he received due to the death of his parents, I hope his father can live in peace in heaven.
In fact, it is not a problem to use gambling as an escape because gambling can be used as a place of entertainment. It's just that the problem is that people gamble too much, they don't have good control over themselves so they don't think wisely about spending money on gambling.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2025/26 Season on: February 14, 2026, 05:20:44 PM
Benfica vs Real Madrid match will be coach vs coach. Both teams are very strong and favourites to win. Real Madrid has some problems in their attack line but Real Madrid is strong in terms of team strength. But their inexperienced manager was helpless against Benfica's experienced manager Mourinho in the last match. Mourinho now knows how he has to face Arbeloa and how to get the maximum output. On the other hand Arbeloa will have to study deeply to fight against Mourinho.
In fact, I see it in their defensive line which is not good, for the attack line there are Vini, Mbbape, Gonzalo Garcia, and don't forget there are also Arda Guler and Brahim Diaz who could be Madrid's willing options to make an attack on the front line but in the back line it is difficult now, they don't have defenders who are able to secure the defensive line well when there is a fast counter attack, sometimes they are easy to break through.
Seeing the previous match against Rayo which almost ended in a draw, at that time Arbeloa used a 4-4-2 formation which was less effective. Fortunately, they were able to get a penalty kick at the end of the second half which resulted in a goal, but then Arbeloa changed his formation when facing Valencia with 4-1-2-1-2, this looked more solid than before, Arbeloa's lack of experience was indeed an obstacle, especially when faced with Mourinho who was able to utilize his small strength to become like a big team.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 13, 2026, 05:58:04 PM

Liverpool is linked to the Pulisic's move. I think this rumor sounds good to be true caused by Pulisic is Milan's key player. Apart from that this also confirms how they're really willing to offload Chiesa in summer. But i don't think it's a good move consider how prone Pulisic is.

He's often missed the game due to injury at Milan. It's not wise to spend huge fees to get a glass knee player like him. They can target a non injury prone with that amount of money.

Hopefully, this unnecessary transfer is still remain a rumor only until the next season.
I agree that it is not necessary for Liverpool to do this, otherwise Pulisic will only be a burden for Liverpool, especially since the high intensity of the matches in the Premier League will only make things worse if Pulisic will get injured easily, I agree with you that it is better for Liverpool to look for another striker who is in better condition and does not differ much in terms of ability from Pulisic, AC Milan in Allegri's hands will definitely keep him, they will not sell him, if they want to sell him it means they have a better candidate than Pulisic at the moment. Pulisic is absent too often, he will miss many matches with the team and his future is a big question mark.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2025/2026 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: February 13, 2026, 05:29:53 PM

Arsenal this year... if no set pieces, they can't even enter Champions League spot. they need a good midfield for be champion. With this problematic midfield, never champion. Arteta also has billion dollar squad but he can't do anything without set piece goals...
Indirectly you are saying that Eze, Zubimendi and Declan Rice do not have a good contribution, and I have realized this since the quarter of the league this season, Arteta needs to discipline the midfield to control the front attacks, the midfield plays an important role in providing opportunities to the attackers and helping the attack line form attacks, this is of course key, if these players cannot have a contribution that has a better impact then it is better to just replace them.
Arsenal has an accelerated match schedule, if they win of course 3 additional points for Arsenal again, Wolves can be beaten easily of course on the 19th, btw this match is faster.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If gambling where the only alternatives would you gamble? on: February 13, 2026, 05:01:49 PM
Hello fellas!
Just a little bit bored at night..
I want to know if there are no other sources of livelihood and we have gambling as the only means of income and people are already getting used to it, and you are not a gambler would gamble instead?
Now, this would definitely revealed those who are truly a gambler or those who just had passion for gambling and even as it turns to only means of income you wouldn't be that feeling bad because already you are well customed to it.
Of course there are some countries that bans gambling but yet there are some citizens who are still gambling either by using a vpn or Tor to access the gambling site.
If you don't have any other way to make money and you are used to making money by gambling then do that, because it won't be your problem, do whatever it takes to stay alive, if only you can make it from gambling.
This sentence is the same as when you are in the desert, you want to drink and there is no water other than your urine at that time, so you have no other choice.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany DFB Cup 2025/2026 - Discussion and Prediction on: February 13, 2026, 04:38:27 PM

All the results of DFB-Pokal this round was expected. Maybe we didn't wait for Freiburg to pass through penalties but they managed to survive after all.
For me I think also that Bayern Munich is the contender for the cup. If not Bayern then it is Bayer Leverkusen then comes Stuttgart then Freiburg at the end.
Generally teams sacrifice this cup when they have intense matches in UEFA Champions League...
Bayern Munich's ambitions this season are very big, to collect as many trophies as they can get, now that the DFB has entered the semi-finals, it would be a shame if the results of the previous hard work were missed, even though there is tight competition in the Champions League because it has entered the knockout stages, there is no need to use it as an excuse when opportunities in the DFB can be overcome without having to use all one's strength to win.
It's likely that Leverkusen will face Munich in the final, I doubt it about Stuttgart, let alone Freiburg who are almost out of steam.

This thread should be moved to a political discussion thread. Judging by the description provided by the OP and the replies from other members, the core discussion is geopolitical. Just as the title suggests, please report it to the moderators so it can be moved.

Trump's influence stems from the strong support of his party, his family, and the public who support him. He even left the UN and established the BOP as a tool to build a movement. He has his own agenda, and even the parliament there can't stop him when he makes a decision.
