121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Upgrade bitcoin.org on: March 20, 2013, 08:11:18 PM
Hi,

I think the new users who discover bitcoin for first time usually want to know where he/she can spend the bitcoins. I know exist many directory listing sites that show places that accept bitcoin, but I think all sites database is closed.
I think we should have a listing of places that accept bitcoin with a open database (openstreetmap.org is great for this). They already have the key payment:bitcoin (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:payment). I think exist now only three places on osm with key payment:bitcoin.
You could request this data from openstreetmap and show the places information on a page in bitcoin.org. I think a button with (places that accept bitcoin) should exist on main bitcoin.org page.
You could create a form with predefined fields and a map to insert places location/info and send to openstreetmap server.
I think It's important add the data to openstreetmap because all other apps like GPS ones can use it.

What do you think?

Obs: Sorry for repeat (I think) many times. My English is really bad.
122  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Traduzir a nova página bitcoin.org on: March 20, 2013, 05:02:49 PM
Olá pessoal,

O pessoal tá criando uma nova página para o domínio bitcoin.org, link: http://174.142.20.146/en/
Eu acho muito importante traduzir a página para o Português, pois a nova página está bem didática.
Fica a dica.
123  Local / Economia & Mercado / Re: Kyrios Pousada em Maresias - SP: Aceitamos Bitcoins! on: March 04, 2013, 03:29:29 PM
Bom ver empresas no Brasil começando a aceitar Bitcoin como forma de pagamento.  Grin
Adicionei a pousada no openstreetmap (mapa livre) e adicionei a key payment:bitcoin. Veja: http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/node/2185635271

124  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: March 01, 2013, 11:03:42 PM
I really would like to see on blockchain.info, a list with places that accept bitcoin.
Today I added in openstreetmap, the first place that accept bitcoin. See the key: payment:bitcoin (http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/node/2178760338)
I think for the first time, piuk could just request from openstreetmap, all places that have the key payment:bitcoin and list the places on a page. Later when many places be added, could be implemented filter option like, by country, by city, restaurant,.....

I like openstreetmap because the data is free to be used in any way.

125  Bitcoin / Project Development / Places that accept Bitcoin on Openstreetmap. on: March 01, 2013, 06:57:19 PM
Hi, I added a place on Openstreetmap.org that accept Bitcoin using the key payment:bitcoin. See: http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/node/2178760338
I use a great android Gps app called Osmand, that use the data from openstreetmap. The app has options to search/filter places in many ways. I would like to search all places that accept bitcoin, but I think an icon need to be created first. (If I understood correctly)
See the topic I created on osmand google groups. https://groups.google.com/d/topic/osmand/8dwH1jKsRqU/discussion

Anyone here is able to create a pull request on osmand for bitcoin icon?

128  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitcoinin Store Officially Launches - Buy All Kinds of Stuff With Bitcoin on: February 27, 2013, 10:59:06 PM
Great site. It's fast and design is good.
1- But I would like to see the btc price you use. So I'll be able to know when the bitcoinin products price change. A good example is the www.bitcoinstore.com.
2- I don't like to be necessary to click on dollar button to see the products price in dollar. I think should work like bitcoinstore too.

But I like it more than bitcoinstore. Hope you add more products soon.
Hope you grow like pandawill.com DX.com ....

129  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Multi-signature user interface on: February 21, 2013, 04:24:34 PM
Let me see if I understood the (linked wallets).

1- I create 3 wallets
2- Will be 2 of 3 to spend.

So I create a wallet on blockchain.info service. A wallet on mobile app and an offline wallet on Armory.
Will be possible to on all addresses that I generate on any of the 3 wallets, only be able to be spent with 2 of 3?

If yes, I think is the perfect security solution.
130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Giveaway! on: February 20, 2013, 11:30:54 PM
Ripple is a scam!
Ripple is a get rich quick scheme for it's creators, a private for-profit company.
It is NOT open source. It is CENTRALIZED, akin to PayPal rather than Bitcoin.

Let us know when you fix it.

Thanks
132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitcoinWireless.com - 280 carriers in 112 countries, Bitcoin with no fees! on: February 08, 2013, 05:57:58 PM
On Brazil, the service is very expensive. See:

Carrier: TIM Brazil
Product: TIM Brasil R$27 Recarrega
To complete your order:
Send 0.7992 to 13tEDaBihhtKmkYY71D2DBQ3dvLH8CYzTc

1 Dollar is = R$1.97
0.7992btc is = 17.98 USD
17.98 * 1.97 = R$35.42

Conclusion: I'm buying something of R$27 for R$35.42

Any chance to have better price?
133  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Blockchain.info Development Bounties on: January 30, 2013, 10:29:55 PM
I found a bug on My Wallet. Steps to reproduce:

1- Go to https://blockchain.info/pt/wallet/ then click to login.
2- Inserted my identifier: example
3- Inserted my password

Result: Logged to my wallet but the top right butttons, quit and refresh, is not showed.

Obs: If I enter directly, with the identifier on url address, like: https://blockchain.info/pt/wallet/example (The buttons appear with no problem)

Obs: To reproduce the problem you probably need to clean cache, forms. (The identifier can not  be prefilled)

Obs: I reproduced the problem with site and wallet set in Portuguese language.

On topic 3,

I mean bitcoin price. (not dollar).
I think the btc price on site, should be the same on checkout.

Piuk,

Could you create a chart showing total of Bitcoins there are in the tagged addresses?

Thanks
