61  Local / Português (Portuguese) / Qual é o Slogan do Bitcoin no Brasil? on: August 08, 2013, 06:30:51 PM
Pessoal,

Estou traduzindo o site bitcoin.org para o Português do Brasil. No site em Inglês o Slogan é:
(Bitcoin is an innovative payment network and a new kind of money)

Qual Slogan vocês acham que cairia melhor para os Brasileiros?

Algo que seja interativo e chame a atenção.

Aguardo sugestões.

Pessoal,

Frase 1- (Bitcoin-Qt is the original Bitcoin client and it builds the backbone of the network. It offers the highest levels of security, privacy, and stability. However it has fewer features and it takes a lot of space and memory.)

Frase 2- Armory is an advanced Bitcoin client that runs on top of Bitcoin-Qt. Expanding its features for Bitcoin power users. It offers many backup and encryption features, and it allows secure cold-storage on offline computers.

Frase 3- Electrum's focus is speed and simplicity, with low resource usage. It uses remote servers that handle the most complicated parts of the Bitcoin system, and it allows you to recover your wallet from a secret phrase.

Terminadas essas frases, postarei as próximas.

Yeah, something lightweight such as that makes sense to start with.

Maybe something like: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=175900.msg1838831#msg1838831

Yeah it seems there are several map sites none of which have a complete list of merchants - I hope it gets resolved soon either with database syncs or one of them winning out and becoming the standard. It sort of sucks to have to check multiple sites. The OSM based solution seems to require you to use a full blown map editor to just annotate a business as accepting Bitcoin, that doesn't seem easy enough for local restaurant owners to bother with. It really needs to be one or two clicks I'd think.

The idea of auto-adding places through the act of actually making a payment is awesome. I hope someone steps up and either pays Andreas to implement that or writes the patch themselves (Android programming is fun, I hope someone joins in and helps Andreas out).

Some kind of gallery/merchant store would be nice also. So much to do!

About an easy way to add places on coinmap, I agree with Mike. I have a post about this on https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=175900.msg1838831#msg1838831

I really like OSMAND too, but it doesnt have an option to filter places with tag payment:bitcoin.
On OSMAND mailing list have a topic about it, see: https://groups.google.com/d/msg/osmand/8dwH1jKsRqU/zUGqG0HMhukJ
