881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the main problems bitcoiners face? on: November 22, 2016, 01:42:24 PM
1. Still not adopted by enough of the masses to appear in local businesses
2. Too many god damn scam websites,
3. Coinbase closed my account for no reason, a law should exist to prevent businesses denying individuals key services
4. Coinbase currently is the only way to automatically send RECURRING bitcoin payments - recurring transactions a must
5. no transparent, openly white hat bounty hacker police for problem #2 - an internet police white hat hacker network would be nice

1. Adoption can't be quick like all have speculated, even to see small changes in worldwide scenario it will require really long time and regarding bitcoin it is really new way to do financial transaction so people will need really long time to understand and start using bitcoin all over the world.

2. There are many scam websites which also use other payment methods, so i don't think bitcoin should be blamed on this.

3. Coinbase is centralized platform so they are not more than like paypal, bitcoin is designed to be used without any third party downloading own bitcoin wallet or electrum like desktop wallet will remove this types of problems with using coinbase.

4. Why recurring payments is must?  Roll Eyes

5. Bitcoin transaction is transparent, better to say its untraceable which is one of the feature which add more value to use of bitcoin. It can't be removed or replaced.
882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction queue size on: November 22, 2016, 11:13:55 AM
What is the normal amount of bitcoins transactions in queue? Currently it is close to 30000 transactions.
There is no any fixed amount of bitcoin transaction that will be in queue, it keep on changing but over time total unconfirmed transaction is increasing due to lots of transaction with less than recommended fee.

I have a transaction waiting for over 16 hours now. It has a fee, so am I guarenteed that it will be confirmed?
You better post your transaction id so that we can give proper estimation of the time by when it will get confirmation. In the meanwhile check recommended fee here https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ based on your total transaction size.
883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: R.I.P. ChangeTip on: November 22, 2016, 11:03:41 AM
Have heard about changetip but can't find them useful or atleast i don't see any use for me. Recently micropayment platform faucetbox also announced it will be shutting down due to very low revenue. Now another bitcoin micropayment platform dying, anybody have good idea how they could have survived?

I thought of one idea to increase faucetbox revenue by adding one banner ad from faucetbox on faucet script which can't be removed by faucetowner and faucetbox could have sold that banner space on bidding.
884  Other / Meta / Re: How can I increase my activity? on: November 21, 2016, 03:50:51 PM
To know better about how activity is calculated go through this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=582736.msg6371103#msg6371103
It could be enough for you to understand how activity increases.

EDIT: also look at the above two links posted. Look at this spreadsheet which have actual time period when activity is calculated https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12saLhlUoqIdairxzuSPu6EYGrt7FN2lOstO1yDjCEbA/edit#gid=1012758442
885  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OKCoin.com is becoming SCAM! on: November 21, 2016, 03:46:31 PM
If they are saying they may send you money when they will receive the refund for the sake of their reputation. However it seems their worker have done mistake with bank address and make you wait for so long which is really bad practice and also if they were really concern about your situation they should send you payment from their capital which they don't seem to be doing for you.

Keep updating, hope you will get those payment but thanks for making other aware about the real scene behind okcoin.
886  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Money Management Principle in bitcoin and altcoin Trading on: November 21, 2016, 10:11:49 AM
Depends upon the size of your total capital ready for trading. If you are have around 10+ bitcoin you can get decent profit 4-5%+ from day trading if you diverse your investment in multiple alts with high volume. Don't think about quickly doubling your capital within few days or weeks. Even if you can earn 20-30% profit in a month, that will be nice than just saving your bitcoin in one address.

Never buy any coin which are pumping high, don't sell being panic when price is getting correction.
887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gradma knows about bitcoin. on: November 21, 2016, 09:49:57 AM
Really nice prank  Grin
Actually that grandma's and his supposed granddaughter's face was blurred in video don't know why they have done it. Could that be request by grandma not to show her face or either channel have done that by themselves. It seems grandma loves privacy.. Wink
888  Economy / Economics / Re: What effect did the Trump's (unexpected) victory on BTC? on: November 21, 2016, 07:19:57 AM
Trumps victory had some temporary effect on election day however still what is his thoughts regarding regulation, restrictions in the use of bitcoin is unclear.

What if there is a problem between USA and China?Well, new American origined pools will appear suddenly, so 'the force awakens'.Will the american pools will satisfy Trump or will he order a new digital currency controlled by USA goverment directly. If he does decide to the so, can USA centered new currency take the place of decentralized BTC?
I don't think they have any interest to make competition on bitcoin pools or mining power and what USA or any government can create is bitcoin clone which will be centralized and used by banks, so better not to compare anything like that replacing decentralized bitcoin.
889  Economy / Economics / Re: cryptocurrency wallet to wallet transfer fees? on: November 21, 2016, 07:13:00 AM
I don't think there is any webpage that suggest fees for alternative coins along with bitcoin. For bitcoin there is https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ but for other alts no similar site can be found. However there is one reddit post comparing transaction fees for few coins here https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/48zd7t/which_coin_has_the_cheapest_transaction_fees_atm/
Don't know how accurate are those calculations.
890  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Manipulation is real on: November 21, 2016, 07:03:33 AM
-------cropped---------
It has nothing to do with India cash news. Feel free to share your thoughts !
Obviously the volume indian bitcoin exchange platform is not that big to put any effect on global bitcoin market.

Looking at the current swings, i am also quite sure that this can't be anything other than pure manipulation. But in long terms whales even can't hold bitcoin price down.

Every price correction/dump is opportunity to buy more for long term holding.
891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Future on: November 21, 2016, 05:28:51 AM
I look at crowdfunding sites or bitcoin lotto sites they are of very poor quality. Why has no one decided to take these further and build something the bitcoin community can be proud of ?
Are you talking about design of those crowdfunding sites or their success rate? You can check https://bnktothefuture.com/search/pitches there are many bitcoin/blockchain related projects listed which have gained millions of seed money through crowdfunding.

I realise there is a lot of scamming involved in the bitcoin world but surely a trusted person on here or within the community could build such sites ?
Scams are everywhere to not get scammed everybody have to use their own brains rather than trying to get lured by unexpectedly high return those scams talks about.

Also I am very excited about learning to code and would love any tips on how to improve. It would
be greatly appreciated so in the future I could be part of something special and develop a
project with other like minded people Smiley
You can look at bitcoin whitepaper here https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf to understand what actually is bitcoin and how transactions work. As bitcoin is open source you can also play with bitcoin codebase if you want or to learn or add some feature to it.
892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Circle CEO on BTC: Nobody Will Be Using Bitcoin in 5 to 10 Years on: November 21, 2016, 05:18:21 AM
I think he want to get cheap publicity with the words against bitcoin. He is earning with his platform circle which will not exist if bitcoin doesn't exist in future, so there is no any reason for him other than to grab publicity by saying this.

However who cares whatever he says? Better to look at what core dev talk about rather than all this businessman who try to create fud against bitcoin.
893  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] Satoshifree.in new BTC faucet 10-5000 satoshi every 25 minutes epay on: November 19, 2016, 04:24:53 PM
Waiting time to claim seems 1 minute, i mean waiting time after site loads which i think is poor practice. Better you lower it to 30 seconds as your site load way faster than 1 minute. Also if you can remove pop up ads you have which is bad practice and also it seem there is more than one pop up ads.

There is also error in your solvemedia captcha

894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: find satoshi? on: November 19, 2016, 04:12:36 PM
Searched whole article and can't find a single word "bitcoin" so there is no relation of this article and bitcoin.

The pic they are given like this one is not a satoshi nakamoto who made bitcoin
http://media.coindesk.com/uploads/2013/08/dorian-satoshi-nakamoto.jpg
He is not the real satoshi behind bitcoin for sure, he have already cleared his name and he can't be satoshi.
895  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: November 19, 2016, 03:05:39 PM
Just curious faucetbox admin,
Why you guys haven't thought of selling faucetbox to some guy/company rather than just closing it completely.

Sorry if it has been answered already, give me link.
896  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Ups and Downs ! on: November 19, 2016, 02:59:56 PM
Ups (pumps) = Good to sell part of your bitcoin to have some cash in hands to buy cheap bitcoin on dumps
Downs (dumps) = Good opportunity to buy cheap bitcoins using all fiat you have or half of fiat.

If you are looking for long term holding, don't look at short term ups and downs just relax with your bitcoin in safe place and keep an eye on bitcoin markets.

The advantage of Ups and Downs (swing) in bitcoin price is opportunity of profit it create for day traders.
897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: help for exchanging money from btc. on: November 19, 2016, 11:53:08 AM
You can check list of bitcoin debit cards here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1410577.0
Where you can deposit bitcoin and get bitcoin physical/virtual visa cards which you can use worldwide.

One that i have used before was cryptopay physical debit card. But better check each of them to see they deliver cards to your country or not.

898  Economy / Marketplace / Re: THE BITCOIN STORE IS HOSTING A PHOTO CONTEST - Win Prizes! on: November 19, 2016, 11:13:59 AM

2. Post the photo to Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, or Instagram and tag The Bitcoin Store before December 9th.

What are the tags to be used while posting? And also is this official announcement or there is any link to this announcement in bitcoin.com?
899  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: New Online Auction Site. No Fees until 1st December on: November 19, 2016, 11:09:07 AM
There seems several issues no any item is displaying in homepage and even when gone through category like this page https://www.bitabay.com/browse.php?id=153 (Category : All > Music> Instruments) it is not showing anything however in category list it shows 2 items listed.

Also those demo account username and password not working.
900  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [1000 Bitcoins] Be a part of bitcoin history! on: November 19, 2016, 10:56:39 AM
Checked few of the related domains and script for pixel ad and found most of the related domains are available as well as script is also available for free but may need few modification. So anybody can just use that free script and start similar projects, but the hardest part will be to find advertisers. 1BTC per pixel sound really high.

So, it's only the billionth iteration of the million dollar homepage, nice. At least you've managed to get a couple advertisers on there already, that's a lot of money.
Seems as though that those are his own advertisements, but I could be wrong.

If he have got payment for those ads than OP seem to have already covered enough cost to run this site for few years.  Grin
