If the post is significant enough to where it was probably started before the previous reply was posted, I tend to give it a pass, I do look at the post times. Otherwise it does send up a red flag about that poster, and I'll take a closer look.
342  Other / Meta / Re: Need help with a ban. on: March 08, 2015, 09:36:00 PM
It was supposed to say 60 days, not 30. Autocomplete probably. 20 days remaining.
343  Other / Meta / Re: Marcotheminer the Ban Evader on: March 08, 2015, 09:32:32 PM
What are you confused about? Obviously BadBear didn't buy it and I don't see how you could get confused into thinking that he might have done.

Badbear said, "Looks like it's been sold to me."

The words could use some rearranging.

"Looks like it's been sold to me" becomes "To me it looks like it's been sold".

Probably. I was in a hurry and just wanted to make a quick comment.

Some funny responses though.   Smiley

Lasik doesn't always help, for instance if you just have a lazy eye. Typically the eye itself is fine it's just the processing that's weak, Lasik can't help that.

Looks like it's been sold to me.
346  Other / Meta / Re: My Friend Got Banned For Nothing , Please Help ! on: March 07, 2015, 09:17:27 PM
He didnt send any PMs to anyone.

Yes he did, he was sending people unsolicited pms just this morning with links to his localbitcoins ad with the text "100% secure shopping!". I don't know why people can't just be honest when disputing their bans.

347  Other / Meta / Re: accaunt banned (60days) on: March 07, 2015, 09:12:30 PM
It's his 4th ban in a little over 3 months, second for sig spam. That's 4 more than ~97% of users on this forum.
348  Other / Meta / Re: Requesting theymos to remove CanaryInTheMine from DefaultTrust on: March 07, 2015, 09:03:23 PM
Both, if by power you mean level in your trust list (higher in your trust list tree will be more effective at exclusions). Exclusions must also be > inclusions.
349  Other / Meta / Re: Requesting theymos to remove CanaryInTheMine from DefaultTrust on: March 07, 2015, 08:52:02 PM
Funny thing is, CITM doesn't show up in my trust network due to people in my trust list excluding him being > the people who include him.

Different ranks get a different color, same for seclog.
352  Other / Meta / Re: Wondering who got access to this and the content on: March 06, 2015, 02:22:44 PM
No way to know, depends on when it was deleted. People may have seen it but it was just Satoshi talking about how awesome Gundam was so they ignored it, and never noticed when it got deleted.
353  Other / Meta / Re: Wondering who got access to this and the content on: March 06, 2015, 02:15:53 PM
Yeah he was kidding. It was probably deleted to test how deletions worked, logging of it, what was left behind, etc. That's what I would do.

No way to really know though, no backups from then exist and deleted posts weren't archived until later.
354  Other / Meta / Re: "Satoshi" started Bitcointalk? on: March 06, 2015, 09:57:14 AM
Perhaps this needs to be in the Beginners section...

Satoshi started Bitcointalk?

The very first topic in the forum is started by Satoshi and talks about Bitcoin 2.0 -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=16.0

Pretty cool!

That's Bitcoin 0.2, not 2.0. Satoshi also registered bitcoin.org.

So, the first registering authority of bitcoin.org must have Satoshi's credit card details !!! Is that very difficult for Govt. agencies to find that out ?

Good job, you've successfully found a way to id satoshi that nobody else has thought of in all these years.

He registered it using https://www.anonymousspeech.com/ which allowed for anonymous registering.
355  Other / Meta / Re: about girlbtc.com banned on: March 06, 2015, 04:57:41 AM
If you continue posting outside of meta while banned, your ban length is going to be extended significantly.

You may post in the auction thread only.
356  Other / Meta / Re: My thread locked for SPAM and I dont know why. on: March 06, 2015, 04:50:45 AM
The line is 0.

There are 3 rules that apply here, no spam, no excessive bumping, and no giveaways/promos, which is specifically stickied in the gambling section (of which investor based games is a child board, though it applies everywhere). If you want to make a thread for your giveaway, then make a thread dedicated to it in the games and rounds section. Anywhere else is against the rules and may result in a ban.
357  Other / Meta / Re: My thread locked for SPAM and I dont know why. on: March 06, 2015, 03:39:13 AM
I banned you and locked your thread because of the constant bumping of the thread due to your giveaway. You should not be offering people incentives to post in your thread. Stuff like that typically goes in games and rounds, but I would like to keep those threads contained in that section.
358  Other / Meta / Re: Forum mods? on: March 05, 2015, 07:40:55 AM

IMHO if you are looking for appreciation and recognition moderation is not the place to go. Most of what mods do in order to keep this place as functional as it is will not get noticed and people are constantly complaining about how bad it is and how this or that should be changed.

Truth. Being a mod here is a good way to develop a thick skin.
359  Other / Meta / Re: weird PM info. tiny bug? on: March 04, 2015, 09:58:02 AM
It will show up that way if you are included in the bcc field.

Birdman and Fury are odd movies to compare. One is a war/action movie, the other is a dramatic introspective (with some black comedy) of an aging actor trying to transition to Broadway, and in the end, his failure is his success. Both good, but different. One of the things that's interesting about Birdman is that the takes are very long, you'll almost never see a cut, and the ones there are fit in so well you'll likely miss them. The performances by Keaton and Norton are great, and the long takes really help pull you into the characters story and make you feel more connected. I don't want to get too deep into a review here and spoil it, but if you enjoy award winning films, you should not miss Birdman. If you want to see shit blow up and see heads get popped off, then watch Fury. I was amazed that Shia Lebeouf was able to redeem himself (in my eyes) after the the tragic roles he's played, but he did. I watched and liked both for what they are.
