2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Nyzo - Proof of Diversity | Fairly Distributed | Original Code on: December 17, 2018, 04:33:46 AM
if I'm not mistaken Nyzo doesn't do pre-sale, ico or other sales and also doesn't do mining. so I'm confused, how can I get Nyzo, what should I do?

You can set up verifiers. Instructions are on github: https://github.com/n-y-z-o/nyzoVerifier/blob/master/README.md

There’s also an otc channel on the discord.

hello, how much it cost to send 3 avalons to miami
thank you

The cost for fedex ground (3 business day) to Miami (I used 33101) is $23.66 per package, so for all three shipping would be $70.98.
9  Economy / Computer hardware / (WTS) Avalon 741 X 3 (single units or kit + psu's + controller) on: May 17, 2018, 02:20:32 AM
I have three Avalon 741's for sale. I am located in the US, and these have been running in a cool environment. I'm upgrading my gear, so I need to sell these units so I can power the new ones.

- Price per 741 - $300 shipped (CONUS).
- Price for all three shipped w/ power supplies (delta 2400w x2, breakout boards, 24" pcie cables and Avalon controller) - $1100 shipped (CONUS).
- Will use a forum escrow from this list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2439910.0
- Payment in BTC, LTC or ETH.

Two of them were purchased 2/27/2017 and the other on 6/7/2017. The newest one arrived and the piece that holds the fan to the case was damaged. After months of messaging, Canaan sent me a fan shroud rather than the correct part, so I'm throwing that in with that unit. Shroud has been secured to the miner, and all units perform as well as they did when I first received them. Each 741 will ship with the original box, auc3 and a micro usb cable.

Let me know if you have any questions. I'll be powering these down soon and can take more pictures upon request.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: avalon 741 mining on: March 14, 2018, 04:16:24 AM
Be careful with those power supplies - you are running at or above what it is rated to handle. I melted a few breakout boards with that same setup, even on -1.

You might want to  consider upgrading the power supplies .
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 2400W Server PSU anywhere? on: December 20, 2017, 03:13:49 AM
One of the support reps at parallelminer told me it itsn't likely that they will get the 2400w deltas in stock, but they should have some 1400w psus soon. I don't have any more details than that. I did find a few on ebay for a little more than what pm was charging.

How much are you asking for the i3-7100 and 750w p2’s?

I have a faulty fan for a Power Color Red Devil rx470 ... I don't to go through the RMA.

Anyone know a 3rd party reseller ?

Thanks

im having the very same issue, but with a pny gtx 1060, sad thing is only less than 2 months old..

Mine is almost a year old ... Asked Power Color to buy a new one.

Short answer. NO, we don't do that as we don't have the pieces. (LOL ?)

Good luck with Power Color - in my experiences they have the worst customer service. I finally got my replacement for a card that went bad (it took over 3 months, they sent me a dud card first so I had to pay again to send to them. When I finally got a working replacement they downgraded my card. Leaving messages at their customer service number and on their "Power Color cares" form is a waste of time, and tech support said that's all they had in stock.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: HP Server Power Supply on: September 12, 2017, 01:34:33 PM
guys its called a pico psu which accepts only 12v which is supplied by the server psu, pico powers both mobo and a hdd/sdd.
ive got 2 full rigs of 6 gpus each with this setup, its nice and clean less wires going all over the place etc, soon to be 3 rigs
I use hp 1200w and 1500w platinum rated server psu's and yes its safe and secure, these psu's are little better and there made for enviroments such as we are using them in, they will last much longer than then atx psu counterparts, downside is these mostly all run on 220v only to get the full wattage

Thanks alot buddy, for the great response.

Now can you tell me the Model number for 1200W

Is there any model of PICO Power and Breakout Board? Can you share picture please.

Did you buy Brand New or Refurb or Used / Pull Out (Excellent Condition)
What did it cost you for HP 1200 W - Platinum ?

Thanks.

dps1200

flminer mods picos to power from the 6 pin off of a breakout board, and will soon be offering pcie cables: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2040729.msg20310280#msg20310280

I try to snipe used/refurb on ebay/amazon but have been burnt by sellers on ebay (with good feedback) so be careful and always use paypal! Just make sure it is a cs (common slot) and pay attention to efficiency (I look for platinum). I try to find 1200's for $30, 1500's $100 (parallel miner's 2400w is a better deal than the 1500).

For breakout boards, I like the v7 x-adapter: http://www.parallelminer.com/product/x7-breakout-board-adapter-compatible-with-hp-750w-1200w1500watt-hp-power-supply/

17  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 160w pico psu mod updated on: August 23, 2017, 07:53:20 PM
My second order arrived today - thank you for the quick shipping! The picos from the first order (about a month and a half ago) were installed immediately and have ran perfectly without any problems.

I look forward to ordering some 6+2 cables when you have some ready.

Thanks again!

Man, i feel like i might have made my first greedy big trade mistake.... sigh.... what was i thinking.....

last few days i have been killing it on sigt trading it with the moment, turned 67k of sigt into 122k, then when sigt went flat today i moved it over to bittrex bought in on btc/bch a few times and the gains were just way way to good all day.. super predictable and then i mistakenly clicked max for a buy order and didnt realize it... meant to click max bch per 10% of my btc balance.. little did i know i bought in with max btc on bittrex 2.6 btc @ 0.091 btc/bch purchase... sigh... i hope i just didnt piss my days earnings down the drain.... managed to trade 1.8 btc today into 2.6 btc

LOL... reminds me of my own case sometime ago.

Take it as a life long lesson.... just don't repeat the same mistake twice!

Do any of ya'll use trading bots? Not enough hours in the day for me to do any real researching or trading so  was thinking of trying out a bot. Thanks, FM

I use gunbot and have had good results. I still keep an eye on the exchanges it runs on, the pairs and the telegram chat but it saves me from making bad trades and works when I sleep.

I like using these: http://www.homedepot.com/p/3-Shelf-30-in-H-x-24-in-W-x-14-in-D-Wire-Unit-in-Chrome-EH-WSTHDUS-005/204466879

This is the final product (after a bunch of zip ties / fan and components): https://imgur.com/gallery/OUyaa

Now that looks like something affordable that would work. Do you have more pictures on how the GPUs are mounted?

Here's a few more pictures from different angles. There are grooves the fit in that space the gpus perfectly to be zip tied and stay in place. There's also plastic spacers that separate the shelves that I use as spacers below the motherboard.
