461  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: March 03, 2018, 01:17:45 AM
I, Personally, never had any issues with the shipment from Pangolinminer. In fact, it was much earlier than I expected. It literally took under 48hrs from their facility in china, to my door step
in Michigan. However, I was patient, and never asked about tracking, or inquired about my shipment date. I just let them do, what they do, and They did it well. I cannot speak of their
delays, as of late, but I've seen many with the same results as me. I'm sure that they are going to ship, but their customer support is a few days behind....or Ahead, depending the time zone.

Of course I dindt work all shifts for the block but reward looks so tiny for 3 days of cranking with approx 37Th/s.

Welcome!

This is because you have just started "ramping" the 5nd. The "ramp" time is around/near 15 days, after that, you will receive
full rewards. I am near 11 days, and this reward, was bigger than my first two rewards combined. Be patient, it gets better!
465  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [45+PH] KanoPool kano.is 10 BTC giveaway 🐈 on: March 02, 2018, 09:12:21 AM
Sooo nice to wake up to a found Block!!!
466  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [45+PH] KanoPool kano.is 10 BTC giveaway 🐈 on: March 01, 2018, 10:11:11 PM

Actually that number and the red line represents the average hash across the entire chart which is about 23 days.  He will be ramped up before that number matches his actual hash rate whis is taking about 15 days at the current pool hash rate. Grin

Thank You Sir!
467  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [45+PH] KanoPool kano.is 10 BTC giveaway 🐈 on: March 01, 2018, 08:15:10 PM
how do i know when i get ramped up ?

when did you start with your current hash rate at kano?  current ramp is:    The pool hash rate for the last day is roughly 48.22PHs which means the 5Nd 'ramp' is roughly 15days 12hrs.

i think i started a couple days b4 last block thx fer info

Check your shift graph. It's within the drop down menu on the workers tab. On the right side is a little set of numbers in blue, I think when
you are fully ramped, the number should be close to your actual th/s. Correct me if I'm wrong.
468  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [45+PH] KanoPool kano.is 10 BTC giveaway 🐈 on: February 28, 2018, 10:33:10 PM
For new members wondering, I'm  10 days into "the ramp", and I'm about half way there. (minus about 12hrs from powerloss)
In all actuality, the time is going by relatively quickly, and I've received 2 rewards from blocks in the last 10 days. Albeit, they were
not full rewards, because of "the ramp", but they are rewards!

It might as well be. Everything on those pages, are a direct correlation to the information on Kano's web page, and this forum thread.
Ultimately, my (main) reluctance would be this:  As it stands now, you could put a "donate to ...." wallet tag as you have currently in your .sig and people would think it would be going to Kano -- not thinking that it was actually going to you.  If it's not official, it's not official.

For one thing, because I have my vanity address in my sig doesn't mean I'm asking for anything, nor do I. It's simply my address. Another thing, I have my very own account that I promote Kano's Pool from, not affiliated with Kano, nor this pool. And, if anyone were to post so foolishly in this forum,  while posting an address scam, would most definitely be pointed out as a scammer!

I thank you for painting me as a scammer, and if you don't like the idea of people helping out, and promoting this pool, that's fine.
You don't have to participate. Thanks.
Actually I'd not really mind if you even did put your address asking for donations to help promote the pool.
The point of the social media I guess is to tell others about the pool - I'm certainly never asking for donations of any kind Smiley
I can't see how this could run amok either unless someone pointed people at some scam/clone pool - so sounds all good to me.
I just never have the time nor inclinations to touch sites like twitter and facedesk.
They consume way too much time and the majority (but not all) of their use is pointless drivel Smiley

Thanks Kano! But I'm not looking to get paid for my help, just doing the good deeds of my day.

I wasn't trying to offend - just expressing my perception that the twitter handle "@kanobtc" implies an affiliation that, in fact, does not exist.

My Twitter handle is Shazam!!!@ShazamBTC, I was saying I'm not affiliated with that page, as in I don't run it. I'm not offended,  and I understand the ways of the scamming world, as you pointed out with the ability to scam with an address. The pages, are run by another
member, and he posted he was doing so. I'm not saying someone couldn't scam, but they'd be awfully goddamn stupid to post it in
this thread. I can say everything that has been shared, or retweeted, comes directly from Kano's website, and this thread.

If, at any point, I feel anything I see is against the wellbeing of this pool, I will be contacting Kano personally. That's kinda what
the whole point of a "community" is about, having people you can "watch your back". Also, if having an "unofficial" page, is causing
friction here, maybe Kano could give his blessing, or ask to have it removed. Either way,  I'm still gonna keep helping out, and do
what I can to get people to come here, from those corporate monster pools they are naive about.
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: February 27, 2018, 10:03:56 PM
I've been using Awesome Miner for a few days now, and it's been seriously helpful! I'm away from my setup for about 10hrs a day, and
it's very reassuring to have access, and the ability to restart remotely. If I run into any issues, I'll post here. Keep up the GREAT work!

Also so few because many like me could care less about 'thought of the moment' social media such as Twitter, snapchat, Facebook etc.
... or if it were even managed by Kano.

I am far from a social media wiz, but I'm no luddite as well. Whether we like it or not, social media is quite a good tool for marketing.
As, I said in my previous post, a few of us are doing it to help out here, as Kano's time is consumed with pool upkeep. He does alot
for this pool, and the very least we could do is help promote it. It's not a requirement, nor, has anyone asked us to help. We want to
help the pool, and if anyone has input, they are welcome to share suggestions.

Hi, 1st time poster, long time lurker for kano (2 months  Tongue).  Just saw the kanobtc twitter page and saw only a few members there.  Love the community here in bitcointalk but just wondering why only 16 active in twitter... Smiley

I hope we can all be active there and share tweets from the pool, especially the 10 BTC promo to spread the word so we can increase the pool's hash rate.. Smiley

The Twitter page, has only been active for a few days. There is a few people here, that have taken it upon themselves, to help
promote Kano's Pool. Anyone who would like to contribute towards marketing Kano's Pool, is more than welcome, to give us
a hand.

To help ease the mind of new members, could any senior members share the amount of coin they've earned, at the th/s that they had at the time of the earnings, near or over 6 months?
I think it may help some new members put earnings into perspective that way. Thanks in advance!!!
minergain has that on his web site.

Thanks Kano!

Totally different comparison though, with the pool size being different, as well as the difficulty (and block fees).

You mean to tell me, with the mathematicians in here, nobody can compare past to present? C'mon.

OT: Anyone else being inundated with coupons from a certain vendor today?  I'm always suspect when a big push comes to move product is underway from these guys.

I haven't received any, and I'm on the notification list of most legitimate companies, and distributors.

Got a notification from the Android pool app, while I was at work this morning. First thing that popped into my mind, was
I had lost power AGAIN! Very pleased to see we had found a block! Can't wait for this ramp to be finished.

As long as your errors are less than the pool average (look at the top left of every web page) you have nothing to worry about.  The Workers page on Kano just reports errors more accurately that other pools. Grin

HW errors are unique to your machine.  Sometimes miners generate more HW errors than other times.  It can be related to temps or simply the wear and tear of the chips themselves.  Sometimes I can reboot a miner and it will start up with a ton of errors...other times the same machine will boot up with zero errors.

I noticed this, this past week. I lost power twice. The first time, the miners rebooted with no errors. The second time, they ran in
30°f temps without hashing, just cold air blowing through them. Needless to say, the number of errors are much higher. It took
about 3hrs to get consistent speeds.
