621  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: December 24, 2017, 05:26:43 PM
Dear friends. Tell us about your experience of shopping for pre-order in February or March of Butch. Can I pay for the pre-order using paypal? If not, tell someone how paid. If you pay by bitcoins, what to do with long-running transactions-how do I verify payment?

As Olds1967 stated, PayPal is not being used at this time. My transaction with BTC went very smoothly.
It was very quick, as a matter of fact, compared to other purchases I've done. Read back through the
threads on here about Pangolinminer, you'll see what other buyers had to say. Some had problems with
the orders "dropping", but the issues were resolved.
Thank you. Yes, I have the whole subject reviewed. So when you pay they just give the address of your purse and you are there takes bitcoin? No more forms, no need to fill out?

They give you an option: You can hit open Wallet right there and pay or, you can copy their address and
pay manually within your wallet. I used the second method, just because I don't like to open my wallet
while I'm on line. After you pay, they show you the transaction on the Blockchain. You will start seeing
confirmations shortly after that. I'd say if there are no confirmations after an Hour, send them a message
asking if there is a problem.

Read through this section:

There is someone there that can probably help you find your answer. You can also move
this entire thread there, might be a little more useful that way. At the bottom left side of
YOUR post there is an option to move it. Goodluck!!!

624  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to tell if an Antminer S9 is working? on: December 24, 2017, 02:56:45 PM
The best way would be to set it up and run it before you buy it. Take a laptop, or use that guy's
computer. You've got to be able to access the miner while it's running to see whats going on.
Chances are if the other guy doesn't want to cooperate with this request, it's scammy.

Also, move this thread to "Mining support" for quicker/better replies. Bottom left side of your
post there is an option you can use to move it. Goodluck!!!

626  Other / Meta / Re: User stats are disabled. on: December 24, 2017, 02:32:48 AM
Why I can't access the User stats on my profile? I read a message saying "User stats are disabled".

They were disabled over a week ago. Something was happening that was making everything else
slow down. Everyone and their brother kept getting Gateway 5XX errors. Once they disabled the stats,
everything went back to normal. I have no idea how all that works, that's just what I read on here
in a post that looks just like this post. Which reminds me, try reading through the board for a couple
of pages before creating a whole new thread about an issue. The mods will thank you for it!
627  Other / Meta / Re: Hijacked account on: December 24, 2017, 02:19:38 AM
Follow the directions in this thread:

You will need to find a post with your BTC address from before it was stolen. You will

The more I think about this, the more it gets me going! I really want to help do something to
help out. So.....I took some time and threw together some code for a Signature to show some
support, and to help spread the word a little. It's nothing flashy, but it gets the message out.

@phlipma, I linked back to this thread for others to read. If not allowed I'll remove it.

@kano,@-ck,@Jonny bravo--I added links out to your pools. If you'd like to not be on there, I'll remove it.

If anyone else needs to be added, please let me know and I'll add them.

@ Cryptosaf

I've made contact with Pangolinminer a few times in the last few weeks. I was NEVER able to hear back from
them on a weekend though. ( Friday, Saturday Sunday) Hopefully the communication problem you are having
is because, they do not work on the weekends.

Hope you get your issue resolved soon! If I happen to find anything related to this, I will post my findings here.

Edit: I've found somethings about cgminer not starting, and some mention "try changing your internet cable".

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=432340.0

Some others mention changing info in the .bat file, but I do not know if that accessible on the M3's cgminer.
630  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Why all miners need to mine on a pool that pays them the tx fees. on: December 23, 2017, 02:34:27 AM
Very insightful Philipma! I've been doing a lot of research about pools trying to choose one for when I get set up again.
A lot has changed since 2015 that's for sure! I've been seeing a lot of people talk about this in different threads, but
you hit the nail on the head. At what point can we get a miners club going that only includes people with this mindset?
I don't want to use the word "union", but a group of people who stick to a certain set of rules, to take back power from
the big pools. I for one do not like what I see from the big pools, and wish there was something WE could do about it.
Ah - it's simple - mine at a pool that pays the miners transaction fees ... like mine Smiley

Actually, not tryin to blow smoke, but Your pool is at the top of my list. Has been for about a week. I can honestly say that
I really like what I see. I spent about 4hrs alone just reading back through your thread. Very nice work!

632  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Can the Futurebit Moonlander 2 and the Gekkoscience 2pac be used on the same hub on: December 22, 2017, 10:00:30 PM
Try moving this into the mining section. The guy who makes the 2pac is usually there daily.
He'd be the guy to ask for sure. Someone else there could probably help too though.

Down in the lower left hand side of this tread, there should be a button option to move the entire thread
into the mining section. Be sure not to put it in the ALT coin section though, as it pertains to a BTC miner.
Goodluck!!!

I have also followed the steps requesting account recovery.

It verifies. However, I hope the one you used in your PM to cyrus includes today's date.
You'll also want to include the link to the post from before it was stolen.
634  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: December 22, 2017, 04:21:17 PM
The last thing I saw, said they will be releasing 2 BIG batches on Christmas Day. Each batch
with a different ship out month, which I've got to agree, is very irritating. People bought the
March batch not knowing they would release February again.

Why is it irrating? I prefer it this way so I have an option. Well I chose the march batch because its cheaper!  Wink

I hope with the recent correction on BTC price, the major miner manufacturers will stop raising prices.
Although they have the complete control over the market, one can still hope for the better. One thing I
can say about Pangolinminers is, atleast I see them releasing info regularly. I like when a company does
that, so I just don't set around wondering what's happening.

Well said, that makes two of us.

side-note:
I also remember someone said few days ago "I hope the btc price will plunge just before the miner manufacturers released the new miners' price.."
I think he or she has had the wishes grant, and alot of panicked people with sweaty palms along with the ride.

(Moderator note: This post was edited by frodocooper to fix broken quote formatting.)

I find it irritating because, I want my product a soon as possible. I ordered from the February batch they Re-released
from a hold they had. Just days after I ordered they gave a "Buy Now" option to be shipped immediately. Granted, this
option was double the price, but it was an option I didn't know existed. That's irritating.

I do believe who ever made that wish, might want to play the lottery! Haha!

With the sudden dip in all crypto prices, i would like to know if Pangolinminer will come out with a better price for its miner.

Anyone know when its website be ready to order again?

I thought someone said that the site would be ready by today 13.30pm Beijing time?

636  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Pangolinminer & Whatsminer FAQs on: December 21, 2017, 11:31:45 PM
that power consumption seems a bit high...... what do you guys think?

Compared to other miners....Yes. It is rather high, but they perform very well from what I've seen.
I just ordered 2 of the M3's about a week ago. It will not kill me on electricity, but I'd like it to be lower.
I'm hoping that eventually, someone with the skill can "jailbreak" the program to give access to the
voltages. Turning them down just a notch could really help.

So....if you don't pay a lot of electricity, these are still a good option.

Edit: They will be taking orders on 12/20/17 for Current, Feb and March stock.

Hi Shazam.
I am trying to work out how much shipping might cost me if I order some M3 in the next batch. (Or anyone else that might read this and can help me)

Do you happen to be located in Europe?
If so would you have any idea how much it would cost for the shipping of 9 miners?

Thanks!!

Sorry, I'm from Michigan, U.S.A. i can tell you it cost me $200usd for shipping on 2 M3's.
Hopefully for you, that doesn't mean  $100 a piece. Might be worth a shot to email
their customer support, and find out what the cost is.

@gradovgv---what was the shipping cost for the 10 M3's you ordered last week?
637  Other / Meta / Re: bitcointalk account compromised on: December 21, 2017, 10:03:49 PM
Aloha Familee my bitcointalk account 'newsilike' has recently been compromised and I didn't see the Mail-Adress-Change-Notification of the 29.11.2017 in time.

Now someone is trying to make money via signature campaigns etc. pp.

Perhaps I can prove ownership of the forum account signing a message of one of the BTC addresses I had saved in my profile back in the day.

I am a member since 2013 so it has been a while without changing the password I gotta admit.

To prevent further damage I would either like to get the account back or - have it deleted.

Thanks for helping out, greatly appreciated!

You'll need to follow the steps in this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

Take a look around and see if you can find a post with your BTC address. You'll need it to be from
before the account was hacked. You can reference back to it to prove your the owner of the account.

If you need help signing a Message look here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0

Hopefully a Mod will see this and they can help get the account locked, until you get it back.

Goodluck!!!
638  Other / Meta / Re: Banned account on: December 21, 2017, 09:36:05 PM
Hi

I did not use the forum for a number of years and when I tried to log back in I got this message:

Sorry Guest, you are banned from using this forum!
Your account is locked because it sat inactive for years after the password hashes were leaked in 2015, and was therefore at high risk of being hacked. Email react-............com to get it unlocked.

I sent an email and have not heard anything back,  so I signed up with a new account but would like my old account back if its possible please.

Can any admins help me with this please

Thanks

I went through this too. Here's what you need to do. Follow the directions in this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

If you need help signing a message with your BTC (or other crypto) wallet look here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990345.0

While your at it, run your BTC address through the search, and find an old post that you can
use for reference of your ownership of the account. If you need any help, just ask.

Goodluck!!!
639  Other / Meta / Re: How do you add an avatar on your profile? on: December 21, 2017, 08:56:33 PM
I was setting up all my information like I usually do on all of my new sites, but I couldn't find any option to add an avatar. However, I do know that they are available because I have seen other people with them.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178608.0

You need to be at least full member to be able to add an image to your profile.

Thank you! Can you explain to me what the difference between activity and posts are?

Edit: I'm dumb, sorry. This is a little complicated for me, I haven't used a forum besides Reddit for a couple of years now.

Read This Thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0

Some friendly advice....take some time to look through all the different boards.
There is ALOT of info here, and some easy rules to go by. Look toward the top
of each board, and you will see sticky posts.(pinned posts) Inside each one is a
basic rundown of the rules of that particular board. Need any help just ask.
Goodluck!!!
640  Other / Meta / Re: Are there any rules for posts on this forum? on: December 21, 2017, 11:26:51 AM
You should read ALL of the stickies, or pinned posts at the top of each
section. There are certain things you do need to know about posting.

Start with this one:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1689727.0

Hi Bro, Thanks for the responds, I got through it. well I got a doubt about rule no. 32 [32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.] This means, We are not allowed to post many post in a row? We already have a time break of 360 sec. right? So how this rule applies? I am not clear. Can you please help me to clarify this rule?

The time in between posts is different for each rank. (Newbie, Jr. Member, Member, Full Member, etc)
As you "rank up" the time intervals become shorter. You'll have to find the sticky post about that too.
It's an important one that will answer more questions.

It's also important to note, when replying to a post, do not just reply: yes, or no, or that's cool.
When replying to a post you need to be constructive, to show you actually have something
worth saying.

Take a couple of days, and just browse around the different boards. Read the sticky posts at the top
of each one. There is alot of information here. Goodluck!
